RE: Cell phone signal Booster ?

I really like the 65 for getting a directional antenna way up in the air and aiming it right at a cell tower.
Here's Weboost's latest RV booster.... but it's your choice.
Weboost Drive Reach
Thanks for that. Looking at the reviews some people found that the mounting brackets for the Pole didn’t work so well, have you had that problem?

RE: Cell phone signal Booster ?

So now I am looking at the Weboost RV 65. Is that what you folks are using or do you have another recommendation?

RE: Solar Tax Credit

The solar credit is for your main home only. The mortgage interest deduction applies to a primary residence and second home. Your travel trailer would qualify as a second residence for the interest deduction but there is no credit for solar installations on a second home. I believe that is where the confusion comes from.
I hope this helps.

RE: Outdoor Storage and Snow

I’m wondering if the vents in the A/C unit will leak with the snow on top.

RE: Medicare Questions

Medicare will become primary payer for your wife and your health plan at work will function as supplemental insurance. As en let an said, start looking now for the insurance you will need when you leave the company. If the plan you choose does not cover both of you then you can get your wife a Medicare supplement policy and separate insurance for you. You will need to compare to see which is most cost effective.

RE: What are the top 5 advantages of a TC?

We’re all different. That’s why we can choose from truck campers, motor homes, trailers, tents, etc. it’s all about what works for you. My 2 cents.

RE: Cell phone signal Booster ?

Thanks for all your comments, this has been educational for me. I’m glad to hear that for the most part a booster is helping. I understand that if there’s no signal I won’t get anything but it’s encouraging to know that at least in some of the places I go it will help.

RE: Cell phone signal Booster ?

Was there sufficient bandwidth? Other campers also trying also trying to use their phones for pictures, posts, talking, texting, surfing, streaming etc.?
Not sure how I can measure that. I was using my cell service through the phone and not campground wifi.

Cell phone signal Booster ?

After another frustrating weekend of try to connect to the internet with my phone I am hoping someone has a recommendation for a signal booster for cellphones. I was at a campground and my cell phone service varied from 1 to 2 bars and this was not enough to upload and send a small file.

RE: Looking for a quality Toy hauler but discouraged.

If all you want to bring is bicycles and kayaks we use the “Jack it” bike rack on the front and the “Vertiak” kayak rack on the back of our TT. No need for a toy hauler.

RE: Winter travel

Thanks for your replies. What you say makes sense. I didn’t even think about leaving the slide in. And the weather is so unpredictable I wasn’t even thinking about how quickly it changes as we head south.

Winter travel

I am planning to leave Massachusetts in late December (Covid permitting) for a 2 month vacation in Florida, returning in early March. I recall seeing a recommendation to leave the heat on in the trailer while traveling. I’m wondering if I can sleep in the trailer at night on the way down rather than a hotel. One concern that comes to mind is operating the slide in (possibly) freezing weather.
