RE: Phoenix Cruiser

I have a 2012 Model 3100 and love it! Service before and after the change in ownership has been excellent. Prices have gone up but that's a common trend among all manufacturers.

RE: Beach front vacation ideas

Panhandle is 800 miles from Indy. Easy two day drive. Checkout Camping on the Gulf Destin. Right on beach. Sites are small. Try Top Sail Hill Santa Rosa Beach about 10 miles east of Destin. Sites are spacious. Beach is about 1/4 mile away. Bike or ride shuttle to beach. Get your reservations now! Best of luck.

RE: saracota fl

Difficult to get winter reservations now but there might be a cancellation. Sarasota Sunny South 2100 Doud St. Small, friendly, convenient, quiet and clean. Big rig friendly. Pets welcome. No kids. Turtle Beach right on the water. Very small. Not big rig friendly. 31' or less. No pets. Sun N Fun. Huge. Lots of activities. Noisy.

RE: What is the best weight distribution hitch?

Hensley is my choice. About 10 years ago I paid about $2400 for a factory reconditioned Hensley. Used it for six years and sold it for $1700. Net cost $700. Slightly more than a typical hitch setup. Worth every penny.

RE: And so it goes, the cycle in Elkhart IN

Many Millennials have the attitude that life owes them something. They go to school on their parents money and student loans, don't work during college and get a degree in a field that leaves them unemployable because it's an easy A and leaves them plenty of time to party. After graduation, they realize their degree is worthless and demand $15 and hour to flip hamburgers. Me! Me! Me! I'm tired of hearing the whining! I'll take my medication now.

RE: What is considered a house trailer?

I believe if you look at the owners manual or the warranty for your trailer you'll find a statement that the trailer is not to be used as a full time dwelling. This may or may not help.

Remove Good Sam Member from profile

I'm no longer a Good Sam member. When I post my profile says I'm a member. How can that be removed?

RE: Dog In Camper

We leave our dog in our coach with AC on when we sightsee. Our only concern is a power failure. I use a free app called Presence. You need an extra cell phone connected to wifi or activated to use carrier data. Presence will allow you to monitor video and audio remotely. We leave one phone in the coach pointed towards a thermometer so we can monitor temp changes. We can also hear the AC running and hear if our dog is barking. Leave the phone in the coach plugged into a charger as the video feature uses a lot of battery power.Try it.

Cincinnati I74 to I75 SB

I'm traveling 12/15 (Saturday) from Indiana I74 to SB I75 in a 31' Class C pulling a toad 4 down. I've read the most recent posts on Cincinnati and continue to wonder if I74 thru town to I75 south or I275 around Cincinnati to I75 is better. I may just flip a coin.

RE: Class C downshifting ?

Search 5 Star Tune on this forum and irv2.com/forums. I have it and it made a dramatic difference on my 6.8L V10 with five speed transmission. They also reprogram diesels.

RE: Old Lady & tow dolly. Can this relationship work?

I admire you for wanting to do your part to "save the planet" and having the "spunk" to RV as a single woman but I think you made a big mistake. In my opinion, nothing is simpler than flat towing 4 down. I'd run back to the dealer and buy back that CRV.

RE: 55+ RV Parks

As long as the activities that you like to do are available in the area just go do them. If you're looking for companionship from the other snowbirds, it depends on the campground or resort. Check out the website of the campground/resort and there'll be an activity calendar. Many resorts have more group activities then you'll care to join. We've met many active friendly people from 55-80 everywhere we went.

RE: Need overnight stay in northern Alabama

Northgate or Texas T. Pull throughs and you don't need to unhook. About $30 a night full hookup.

RE: I-70 Indiana and Western Ohio

I live n Indiana. Some of the worst roads I've ever experienced. Disgraceful!! Spent 3 weeks in the Traverse City Michigan area this summer. Politicians were campaigning on "fix the **** roads". Actually worse in Michigan. The US infrastructure is falling apart.

RE: Camping on golf courses

Years ago when I was young, my daughter and I would take long self supported cycling trips riding a tandem. Camped a few nights in graveyards. Nice and quiet and nobody bothered us.

RE: Red tide in the Gulf Coast Florida

Thanks for all comments. Even the one about Google. I just couldn't resist being a little sarcastic. No change in our plans. We're wintering in Siesta Key.
