RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

Ksanford, none of pantry breakers were tripped. Or the main panel with breakers when you enter the coach. You would think there must be a breaker or a fuse for the power for the inverter ? The one that plugs in to 110 outlet converts 110 to 12 volt dc. The one that is hard wired converts 12v to 110 ac

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

When mine blew-up, the 110 outlets that use the inverter would not work. My mechanic took the wires that lead into and out of the inverter and connected them together white to white black to black bypassing the inverter. Then all the outlets worked. You might try this approach. I never replaced this inverter, way to costly. Lou, are you talking about the shore power/generator automatic switch that sits behind the microwave? (I replaced mine, 50 Amp Transfer Switch Pmts-50) I may be wrong, but I think Kmiller is talking about the inverter box that converts 110v to charge the 12 volt system. it has a 110 volt plug that plugs into an outlet next to the entry door storage compartment.

The isolator is in the battery compartment and looks like a solinoid.

I know I am not gonna be the first to ask this but, what did you guys find as a replacement for the Jensen VR187 head unit? I’m Hoping to find one that still allows you to pan the camera but even if that doesn’t exist. what have you guys found as the best replacement? Thank you!! I have wondered several times what unit to replace my radio with. I’ve in the past I thought what I would have to install a toggle switch to move the camera. Luckily like the others I have just use the reset switch and the other hacks to get the screen where I want it. I’ve never been able to use the radio very much because it gets really poor reception, And it overheats because where it was mounted it tends to not dissipate enough heat from the radio

I can't help you, but that's interesting. My fan stopped working today. It isn't a plunger, it is a switch, but this fan may not be original to the MH. My bath fan quit working a while ago and I removed the inner trim and found that the wiring was very loosely connectted wire nuts the came apart. you might want to do the same . The people who wired our motorhome together did a really bad job. I found several other electrical wiring issues like the electric transfer switch….,the stereo wires was loose, etc.

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

the stock sway bar is just as massive as the roadmaster so I think I’m gonna try without it for a while and see if adding just the front sway bar helps.

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

My rig is supposedly a 2009 34 RWM. I found this in another forum “”From what I understand if you have the rivets the fuel tank has to be dropped in order to drill out the rivets otherwise you can't get a drill in there. If I had the rivets I would pay to have it done. Grinding off the heads, drilling out the rest and dropping the tank is not a job for us old guys. Also I think the idea is to have both sway bars to increase performance. If you could replace the stock one with the Roadmaster I don't think you would gain anything. The stock bar on my rig looks pretty heavy duty.””

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

So I went to install the rear roadmaster sway bars and the mounting brackets to attach the sway bar link rods is way up inside the frame, and it’s riveted, not bolted, which would appears you have to get up there somehow, grind off the rivets and then figure out how to get a bolt through in the very hard to reach spot in the frame beam. Please comment if I am mistaken, but unless one of you has an answer I haven’t figured out.. I am not going to install them and I’m sending them back

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

Here’s another dumb question have you guys figured out how to cool down the hot water I don’t know of a mixing valve unless you use the water heater bypass valve as a mixing valve To cool down the scalding hot water that comes out of your water heater?

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

It's personal feel, some do install additional rear some don't. I did and think it was totally worth it. Took away a lot of rear sway so the coach is more pleasant to drive. Do you have to remove the old sway bars or do you add the new sway bars along with them?

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

I trimmed the brackets. Cut them off just above the upper hole that isn't used. Thanks for the reply I’m working on that right now. Did you install rear sway bars also? This sounds kind of stupid but I think I just figured out there’s a stock sway bar back there and I’m wondering if it’s worth it replacing it with a roadmaster.

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

KMiller..how much trouble was it to get the carpet out from under the slide? Sorry Msgtsniper, the placard on ours is faded, too I replaced my carpet with vinyl click type flooring. getting the old carpet out from under the slides was a pain but not unmanageable I blocked up the slides and just physically pulled the carpet out from under. I think it was stapled or tacked in place. If you have friends or a couple of people to help you pull on it. I didn’t have help so Ibasically folded it over to get a good grip on it and then pulled it out using a come along.

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

I'm very happy with them. I think I'm going to put on the rear trac bar next. I installed the roadmaster sway bars on the front of my motorhome but they are almost touching the front brackets of my helper springs on the leaf springs has anyone else had that problem my helper springs are set to the highest setting which means the bracket is poking down the most it can I’m thinking of either adjusting them or trimming the bracket

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

I recently replaced a broken helper spring in front. Do any of you have feedback on anti sway bars? I’m assuming that’s what broke one of my helper Springs is excessive roll

RE: Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

I would like to hear if you figure out how to reconnect your new tv to the stereo. To get rid of musty smell you may have to replace the carpet.
