RE: Is a propane fire ring a waste of money???

we have the little red fire pit, and use it all the time. East of the mountains there are often burn bans where I can still use the propane pit.

RE: Winter weather without winterizing?

I drain the HW tank and lines, I add antifreeze to the drains, I open all cabinets, and run a space heater on anti-freeze setting and dehumidifier. I have done this for years without issue.

RE: New to a TC

I bought my camper before I bought my truck. The first NL was around 2300 pounds and all we needed were the torklift tie downs. When we changed campers, to a heavier NL, I added independent airbags, anti-sway bar, Rancho 9000xl adjustable shocks, and Vison 19.5 rims and tires. Probably over-kill but the truck drives and handles great!

RE: Is side awning worth it?

We have one on our NL, it gets used much more when we take the camper off the truck and will be in one location more than a few days. Otherwise, it really doesn't get used due to height.

RE: Considering moving from Diesel to Gas...talk me out of it?

I bought my truck new with gas. Did this for multiple reasons: gas engine had more hauling capacity, diesel was about $7K more, the gas had lifetime warranty, and gas is easier to come by. My hemi hauls that truck camper easily. I live in the PNW where we have mountains and lots of hills. I average about 12 mpg

RE: Electric 120 volt heater

I use one like this and point it to my bed area at night that I bought at Boaters World. It has adjustable heat levels and fan levels with a thermostat. https://i.imgur.com/hnkItDCl.jpg width=640 West Marine sells them. https://www.westmarine.com/buy/west-marine--portable-cabin-heater--7867500?gclid=Cj0KCQjw_7HdBRDPARIsAN_ltcJHRrnqm-lN1rkzdJi24_kLdke-ESaME6qrW1VraqA9aoA9PzAzkSsaAoziEALw_wcB I also have a heat strip, but it is loud in comparison. Ditto. This Caframo Limited 9206CABBX True North Heater from Amazon $69.99

RE: Rocking Question For Guys With Mods for Stability

Sway stopped: Roadmaster anti-sway bar, Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks (adjusted max on rear, 70% in front), Vision 19.5 wheels and Toyo tires (rear at 110 PSI and front at 95 PSI), and airbags. No more sway and very stable. Hardly any movement

RE: New much better speakers not much better, help

The sub I linked in my previous post works very well at low volumes. In addition, the stereo unit I posted has HDMI out. I would post pictures, but photobucket doesn't work for me anymore.

RE: New much better speakers not much better, help

I had the same issue you had in our Northern-Lite camper. I ended up getting low profile Majestic speakers. The unit I replaced had an output for a sub, so I added that too. It sounds fantastic. Majestic Speakers Furion Stereo System Furion Sub
