I know 303 IS good stuff with lots of RV usages but what things have you found it works really great on?

RE: Hwy 191 Rock Springs to Moab?

OK about that "it's a piece of cake" route 191. Road is in good condition BUT it's over 8300'elevation, and coming down the Utah side has 9% grades, with 9 switchback turns. Probably not even possible without a good exhaust brake. Doable but sure keeps your undivided attention all the way! Vernal, UT. is nice, has lots to see and do. KOA is nice.

Hwy 191 Rock Springs to Moab?

Anyone have experience with hwy191? Maps show lots of it as "scenic byway", and that can sometimes mean big RV's not recommended. It is the most direct route from Rock Springs, Wy. to Moab, UT. so I'm tempted to try it. ?? Also kinda early in spring still if high mountain driving involved? Thanks for replies.

Thermostat issue and it's cold here!

I have the black Comfort ZC thermostat/furnace controller and it's no longer controlling the front furnace. In heat mode it only shows the front heat pump option but does run the middle furnace ok and in cool mode runs A/Cs without any problem. Is there a reset button or wire connections I can clean? Can't tell how to open the front cover either. Thanks, John

Hwy 97?

In a couple of weeks we're considering leaving on an RV trip up through Eastern Oregon area. Anybody have any road condition info on Hwy.97 from Weed to Klamath Falls? We've never been through that way thought we'd try this time. We're a 40' diesel with a toad. Thanks!

RE: Jeep toad rides to rough.

I test drove a JLU and WOW it did ride like a real car. I just found the 2014 JK was more in my price range. Post a picture when you get it all decked out. It's fun to accessorize them.

RE: Jeep toad rides to rough.

Fixed the problem. Jeep rides much better now. All it took was buying a 2014 Wrangler Unlimited 4 door. :B It really is much better in many respects. Thanks to those who suggested that upgrade. Now the towing set up begins.

RE: Jeep toad rides to rough.

There's so many good ideas here it's going to take some time to research the options. Thanks for the replies! I never thought this question would generate so much interest. I'm thinking I'll just buy a Costco seat cushion... till I get new JL car fever.

RE: In Dash GPS are they worth a darn ?

I just updated my 2012 Kenwood in dash radio containing map guidance from Garmin. Update included the software and mapping. It works great now. Like how it plays through the larger coach speakers, easier to hear the turn instructions then the smaller GPS models.

RE: Jeep toad rides to rough.

I replaced the shocks with a new softer then the factory type but the compression and rebound from the coil springs are harsh in street and highway conditions. Doing some research now on progressive springs, maybe help a little or... possibly I just need to look at a newer version LJ, now the JL.

RE: Jeep toad rides to rough.

Yes it's an LJ Wrangler, has a longer wheelbase but that doesn't help the ride too much. It is a straight six engine. I've reduced air pressure from the recommended 35# to 28# that helps a little. Good idea to contact Rancho and Bilstein for their recommendations. Thanks all!

Jeep toad rides to rough.

Our toad is a 06 Jeep LJ Wrangler Unlimited. It a great vehicle for towing but when driving it the ride is to rough. It's not lifted, has all stock suspension and tires. We don't go off road with it, it's more a daily driver type. It rides like a Jeep ( :) ) but if anything can be done for improving the ride I'd like to try. Anyone have any success at this?

RE: Driver's side window why no awnings?

Good replies, thank you. I'm going to try IVYLOG's idea to install an awning.
