RE: Check your bolts!!

How many rod bolts have you ever had loosen up over time? The bottom line is this. If you had bolts loosen up in a few weeks or months they were not taken to spec torque in the first place.

RE: Check your bolts!!

Properly tightened bolts don't loosen. It really is that simple. Do you check main cap bolts in an engine? Do you check rod bolts in an engine after a few miles? The reason that they don't loosen is because they meet the proper stretch point and torque. Here is the science behind why bolts loosen.

RE: 2019–20 CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC POSTINGS

...You do understand that all the facts won’t be known until after the world population has achieved herd immunity. Then why are you so eager to dismiss any possible treatment as ineffective when all the facts won't be known for about another 9 months or more? I wondered the same thing. Very odd.

RE: DEF how old is too old?

There is no solid answer. All sorts of conditions come into play like heat or cold or sealed or unsealed. "I" would not worry about it if it was sealed. But that's me.

RE: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !

I'm still waiting for Tesla to release the Semi. You know; like several Tesla fans said would happen in limited numbers last year. Then they moved the goal post and said, wait, wait, wait, just give poor Tusk more time. No Semi factory. No Semi test mules cruising the hiways and byways of the US. Nothing except 2 or 3 stage props. I'm old enough to remember when Tusk said last year, 1 million Robotaxies by the end of this year. Over half the year is gone and I haven't heard about 1 let along a million. Where is that FSD Tusk? Stil spinin that broken record Turtle :B Where is that Electric Freightliner or was it Mercedes? Oh wait maybe its Nikola Fool cells you want, placed your downpayment yet? Still trying to change the subject FR? Where is that Semi that some on here said was going to show up last year? Where is it? Where are the 1 million Robotaxies that are going to show up at the end of this year? What happened to all of those transporters that Tusk bought? What happened to all of those transporters that Tusk was going to make? You know? The trucking shortage! LOL BTW how is that Y doing for build quality? LMAO Let me give you a hint: It's the same name as a Chinese water craft! :B

RE: Stay on your own side....

I'm super confused?? What happen to all of the open border people? I thought all borders were bad and evil? Maybe that left in 2015? Or maybe that was just coming into the US? So there're good now? I'm behind times and I need to catch up on this stuff! ;)

RE: Black Water Accident

So what if a little "Stuff" stays in your black tank . As long as you keep a little water in the tank to keep it moist the "Stuff" will come out the next time you dump. I never try to get mine perfectly clean and I've had this, made in 1993, TT for 10 years now. LOL, I never did get the perfectly clean black tank either?

RE: 2019–20 CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC POSTINGS

The same WHO that said in Jan 2020 the CV19 pandemic was just a "moderate global risk." That WHO? Lets see how much "value in making informed decisions" the WHO had back in Jan.Would you prefer the medical and public health leaders continue to promote what they were saying at the beginning of the pandemic or adjust their recommendations as they gain more knowledge about the virus? I would prefer they get all the facts and know what they are talking about before saying anything. (But that's just me) I'm even ok with saying, "sorry, we can't release info because we don't know all the facts yet." There is an old saying in race car racing and flying airplanes. "Guessing kills people." The WHO was guessing back then.......and continue to do so. In all fairness; so are a lot of Dr's.

RE: 2019–20 CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC POSTINGS

The fact that the WHO has suspended hydroxychloroquin studies has much more value when making informed decisions. The same WHO that said in Jan 2020 the CV19 pandemic was just a "moderate global risk." That WHO? Lets see how much "value in making informed decisions" the WHO had back in Jan.

RE: When I'm driving do I run my fridge on propane or electric?

People; this isn't the 1960's anymore. No more mini-skits. Sonny is dead and Char is old. ALL vehicles have VRS on them. They work so good that some VRS on gas pumps are going the way of the dinosaurs. I used to love the smell of premium gas being pumped at the gas station in the 1960's. Starting in the 1970's the gas smell started to disappear. Why? VRS! In both the pump and vehicles. VRS are the reason you don't smell gasoline fumes in the station while pumping gas. There is no fumes to catch on fire anymore. A little reading about VRS's.

RE: Black Water Accident

Things I have learned while dealing with the black tank over many years: #1. Always treat the cap like a loaded gun. Never stand or put any part of your body in front of it while taking the cap off. EVER! #2. Always act like there is raw sewage between the slide valve and the cap. #3. Put the open end of the hose under the cap outlet so even if it has a few drops of goodness it falls in the hose and not on the ground. #4. Always have a gallon of bleach around in case something happens. That's my advice and I'm sticking to it!

People choosing to ignore the evidence will only prolong our recovery at the expense of themselves and the public at large. No one is so blind as he who will not see. No fool like an old fool. "John Heywood"

HP is HP is HP. HP is a measure of power. It does not matter is it's from gasoline or diesel or electric power or even from a horse. Power is power.

RE: Lance vs Arctic fox

For me, both are great trailers. The only reason I bought an AF was because I got a great deal on the trailer. If I would have found a Lance for the same deal I would have bought the Lance. I really like my AF because it's very heavily built. I don't have to worry about things like frames breaking or cracking or garbage like that. I really hate my AF because it's very heavily built. I have a 3/4 ton diesel truck and I had to bag it because the trailer had so much tongue weight and was so heavy. Just because the Lance is lighter does not make it a worse unit. Airplanes are very light but yet strong. After I bought my AF my friend bought a Lance. His is a very nice trailer also. Bottom line for me is both are good trailers. Buy what he wife likes. ;)

RE: First Aid Kit Contents

I just buy the 12x12x5 first aid kit and call it good. I have no Red Cross training and I'm not a professional medical provider so it's good enough for me. One thing I will not go without is Benadryl. It saved my bacon a few times with allergic reactions. It will also save dogs that get snake bit.
