RE: And Texas Caves In

And about the defect in modeling; I thought the outcome was predicted based on how people where acting. Change the actions, the outcome will change. Nope; that's incorrect. How people were going to act was plugged and factored into the model.

RE: And Texas Caves In

Last I heard, Sweden is having more cases then countries around. Another thought about laid off medical workers. If the hospitals can not get the equipment to protect them might be better not have them come to work. Heard from who? Link please if you have it. Cuomo WAY overestimates the need for ventilators. Gives them away to other states. So it looks like Cuomo's gloom and doom ventilator need didn't pan out for him. That's a good thing. We now know the computer modeling they used sucked about as bad as Windows Vista. It's beginning to look like CDC's 60K death toll is going to be close to correct. It's good to see they are finally starting to use better modeling because the last one sucked!

RE: And Texas Caves In

Are the hospitals not overrun because the virus is not that serious? Or because the actions we are taking has worked? Sweeden says it's the former

RE: And Texas Caves In

Some good news. Some good news about the virus. Death rate going to be less than thought. I'm glad they were wrong about the death rate.

RE: Help me catch up on backup cameras- for truck and trailer

OP here is what I got. Works for me. If you don't need a monitor and use your GPS (That's what I do) then this will work fine. Mine is wired up when the back up lights come on the camera comes on.

And 80,000 people died of the flu in 2017. I don't remember a shut down then? At the rate of 22,000 right now, that would be 66,000 by the end of the year. I don't see the issue that requires the country to be shut down. 23,500 have died since March 13, at that rate it would be more like 200,000 by the end of the year. Are you saying the doctors at the CDC are wrong and you're correct when they say around 60K are going to die in the US? CDC predictions.

People telling others what to do not doing it themselves. Got to love hypocrites of the world. "Birds of a feather flock together." https://i.imgur.com/W3THQ6wl.jpg

RE: And Texas Caves In

If it was your parent, child or other relative that died you may or may not feel different about protecting those near you. A large percentage of deaths are below the age of 40. Death rate would have been much higher if the curve had not been elongated allowing everyone access to health care. Link please.

Remind me again which hospitals have been overwhelmed? You obviously have access to a computer or you wouldn't be on this forum, so I find it hard to believe you have no clear idea of what actually is going on. Hospitals ghost towns # record your hospital. Stay home so you don't record what's really going on!

RE: My have things changed

Gasoline has fewer BTU's per unit measure than diesel, so diesel will most always produce more power per gallon Nope. Not the way it works Ben. Nitomethane is the most commonly used powerful motor fuel ever. Look up how many BTU's it has. Yea but the nitro cars are burning close to 5 gallons of it, in a 1000 feet Nope. Try 13 to 15 gallons/ run. And that's my point. It has so little BTU's/gallon it take a lot of fuel to make a run.

My have things changed

Over 10 years ago when people posted their new truck HP figures people were coming back with posts like: "When is the HP madness going to stop." "This HP thing is out of of control, it's madness". "When are the manufactures going to think about fuel mileage?" We have enough HP, we don't need anymore." All of these comments were made at engine from 320 to 375 HP. Fast forward to now. People are now talking cr@p about the SBC with 370, 380 HP! Talking about how old tech like push rod engines are like buggy whips, bla, bbla, bla........... My have times have changed. Make up your mind people! :R

Why not fix the leak and get on with life. I love my airbags. But then again I have a POS Chevy and it needs them. :B

RE: Found my replacement engine!

A stock 1000 Allison won't last with those hp and torques numbers. Put a straight drive behind with a good clutch and have fun. YeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaw. Bowtie in the back window optional. Why is that when a stock DM HP numbers are higher than that gas engine and torque numbers are WAY higher?

RE: Diesel Brothers

So the Diesel Brothers are doing something illegal and Elon is not. Are you insane? But I thought it was about pollution and saving the planet? Guess not. :R As bad as a guy that owns a 25 YO diesel complaining about the amount of pollution a person that owns a deleted 07 diesel puts out. If it's about pollution you need to take that old dinosaur to the grave yard and crush it. We now know it's not about the pollution. Thanks for the reminder. :R

RE: Truck overheating towing on long steep grades.

230F is not overheating the trans. That said; Scott's ideas are good and it also would be nice to get a little more info on the ambient temp and RPM ect.

RE: Diesel Brothers

Because Time, you are saying how bad the DB's are for deleting a few diesel trucks but you give your hero Tusk a pass when he pollutes on a level of 100's of times the magnitude of the DB's just with on one flight of his jet. Hypocrite much?
