RE: Drawing water from a lake

OP here. The water is safe to drink. I just want to make sure it doesn't have anything in it that could cause issues, such as sand, debris and of course the bacteria and viruses. What does that mean? Who told you that the water is safe. Do you trust that source with your life? I'd go with a coarse filter, fine filter, RO membrane and then UV. Might want a high pressure booster pump for the RO if the water is high in TDS. Yes I trust the source with my life. I have drank it many times with no issues. The issue I am concerned with is it sitting in a tank and pipes for a period of time. X2

RE: Help looking for washer for full time use

Have a Splendide since camper was new (about 4 years) worked fine till couple weeks ago it wouldn't finish the wash cycle and is throwing a h5 code I think. It worked good but I don't think I will replace it with another Splendide. I'm going to take it out and see if I can find a repair shop. If it's too expensive to fix I'm looking at another brand.

RE: Diesel Trucks

Does the state your going to register in have emissions testing? If it does I would be leery of importing any vehicle until I knew it would pass emission tests.

RE: Not exactly an RV type question...

It's about road use tax. The farmer doesn't pay a road use tax on the fuel he uses to plow the field or harvest the crop.

RE: Not exactly an RV type question...

In rural areas you will find stations that have a leaded gas pump for people with farm equipment to fill up.
