RE: branson trip

Last fall, I left Tablerock SP (Branson) and went south on 65 to 412. Took 412 across to I-49, then south. 412 was, IMO, a good way to go. Some 4 lane but mostly 2 lane. I'd go that way again.

RE: Colorado Hwy 50 @ Monarch Pass

East bound on Monarch is easy on brakes, if you watch your speed. Lots of passing area for, high speed cars, on that down hillside.

RE: AC on or off?

No Ac here. but I do run a dehumidifier. I set it on the counter & it drains into the sink. Into the tank, then, with the gray valve open w/hose. It drains the to the grass. Before I started doing that. Mold would start the grow quick.

RE: Beartooth pass

I found Beartooth harder to drive, since they added guardrails. It made the road much narrower. But still do able.

RE: Hope this is OK for this forum - DEF question

I'm sure when truck shopping the GMC/Chevy salesman wouldn't dare voluntarily show you where the DEF filler is. That alone might deter me from getting one. What a dumb idea to put it under the hood. That's a shame. JK The filler is no longer under the hood. It's in the fuel fill door.

RE: Do's and don'ts of towing a loaded 12" tandem behind 5vr??

Back to the OP's post. A 12 foot trailer, loaded property, will do great behind a 5th wheel trailer. Been there and done that for almost 20 years. You will learn the do's & don'ts along the way.

RE: New Reese hitch; confused about unhitching.

On my Reese, when you pull the arm out it releases the jaws, that allow them to open. They are still closed until you pull away.

RE: Puck system & hitch questions

Have only the 5th wheel prep done at the factory. then you can buy your B&W Companion anywhere. I just bought/received my B&W Companion for my GMC that is going to be built the first of the year w/ the 5th wheel prep package

RE: Michigan to Arizona route advice

I would catch west US62 south of OKC, then 86 to US 60 into AZ. But that's the way I travel, non interstate.

RE: Albuquerque Rv campground?

I like Coronado on the north side of Albuquerque. Coronado Campground in Bernalillo, right on the Rio Grande. That's where we stayed & would return. Close to all Albuquerque's sites without the inner city feel.

RE: Where to in June

Take a Lewis & Clark tour up the Missouri River. Water and history, all in one trip. State, COE and National parks along the way.

RE: Trip to Colorado from Minnesota

So late Oct- early Nov. Find a campground around Ft Collins. Then if weather permits, take a drive up the Cache La Poudre River(HWY 14). That's my first taste of Colorado, been hooked since. 14 crosses the divide at Cameron Pass, a easy day trip from Fr Collins. Weather permitting.

RE: Forest River Wildcat OR Grand Design Reflection...???

It's all about the floor plan. The 303 has most campsite side view from inside. The Wildcat has most of it's windows on the road side. I have a friend that has a Wildcat with no campsite view from the inside. Our 303 has worked for us. It's all about the floorplan, you want.
