RE: Northeast Oregon

LaGrande is home to both Northwood and Outdoors RV. You could schedule a tour of one of the plants and see RVs built.

RE: Texas Hwy. 21 from San Marcos to Sommerville

I can't help with that run but I've run the Caldwell to Crocket part every year. 21 is a good route across NE Texas. Will be at Yegua Creek in a couple months.

RE: Later and Later Check-in times

I have a COE site booked in Texas for Dec. It states check in time is 3pm, no early entries. Last year, at the same park, with reservation, I arrived about 2:15. Only 4 other campers in a 104 site park. Pulled up to the shack, I was told that I couldn't go in. My reply was, I'll wait right here then.
IMO, I think a lot of "Camp Ground Host" are getting lazy.
I guess that I'll be able to sleep in some that morning.

RE: Looking For S. Texas Parks

Your best option going forward, is to call the parks that sparks an interest. This winter is going to be different that prior years. Some parks are still on lock down with limited access. Group activities will be limited this winter.

RE: Christmas where???

You might want to check out NE Texas. Wright Patman Lake or lakes in that area for milder weather that St. Louis.

RE: STL > SD > WY Route

Remember, it's a vacation for all family members. You're trying to put too many taters into that 5 pound sack. Slow down and everyone will enjoy more.

RE: Portable Gas Heaters

I've used Buddys for years. Many times at 9000' and a few at 10500. Output is less, like anything that runs on gas. But they still work. Use only during the day while you're awake. And crack a vent/window.Sleeping extra blankets at night.

RE: Idaho Route

21 out of Boise is a normal, 2 lane, no shoulder, twisty, uphill, narrow valley climb. just watch the road ahead and you'll be okay. 75 will be a piece of cake. On 21 I stayed at 10 Mile CG. Nice but small sites. 75 I've stayed at both Stanley Lake & Redfish Lake CG's. Redfish is more modern. There are to many boondocking sites to list. Have fun & enjoy.

RE: Question on Lippert 3 Auto leveling system

Once the trailer is raised to/& disconnected, the auto reconnect will not work if you use anything but the Auto Level. So if you lower/raise the front after disconnecting, you have to use the manual mode to get the height back to hook back up.
Once the truck is pulled away, hit Auto Level. Than it will return using Auto Reconnect.
