RE: Oil Filter area Leak on 1999 Cummins 360 ISC

Ok I would go to Cummins Quickserve and create an account. You will need your engine serial number. This is the same parts break down your dealer looks at. You may be able to get a better idea of what is keeping you from taking that off. https://quickserve.cummins.com/info/index.html What looks like a detent is just a cheap keyway to keep the oil holes lined up. RE: Oil Filter area Leak on 1999 Cummins 360 ISC

Have you looked at the back side to see if there is a bolt coming in from the back side? Have you cleaned out the center hole and/or probed with a screwdriver to see if there is a hidden bolt/ allen screw. Have you tried to take the whole filter mount off per the drawing you posted? Bill

RE: Fuel economy

My HP to LB. ratio is 66.3 HP to 1LB weight, if loaded to max weight. I never load anywhere close to max weight, always a several thousand lbs. under limit. Therefore the HP to LB ratio is greater than 66.3 to 1. I prefer truck stops and Flying J in particular. Lets re state this, while it would be interesting to drive something with a 66.3 HP to 1 LB weight ratio it is not happening. What you will find is the general rule for RV is one HP per 100 lbs. Bill

RE: Fuel economy

^^^^Nope, purchased it to travel, I'm retired and enjoy traveling. Prior to purchasing the rig I spent 4 years touring the world. You sound like you are still in "Vacation" mode. Now that you have given it the once over, it is time to slow down and enjoy it. :B Bill

RE: Fuel economy

^^^^ I average 50,000 miles per year, currently have 158,000 miles in 3 years. Why are you putting so many miles on? Are you operating a business? Bill

RE: What do I need to start this?

First if the house battery is 12 volt you can move it so you can use it to start the engine. Sadly I have been down that same path. Thinking I could fix up something. I would try to sell it for what you have in it. If you can start it you should be able to. Save a little and you can find a good RV you can get in and drive it not spend all your time and money working on it. You can spend plenty upgrading and updating one you can drive. Any question just ask. Bill

RE: RV route, Albany NY to Acadia National park

You can go I-90 to I-95 North to I-295 north of Portland and pick up US-1. Don't forget to stop in Freeport, I was there in June. Bill

RE: Who can be the last poster?

Went on an interesting drive today. Left the RV park west of Loveland on state 34 going to Estes Park. Then staying 34 to the Rocky Mountain National Park then climbs in elevation. This takes you along the Big Thompson River and through the gorge the river flows down. This drive rivals the Going to the Sun road if not surpasses it. Bill

RE: Who can be the last poster?

In Fort Worth it keeps growing because you keep watering the lawn. You water the lawn to keep the foundations stable, the growing grass is just a by product. Bill
