RE: Maxxis M8008 still good?

I’ve had Maxxis on 2 previous trailers with only one blow out due to road hazard. My current trailer has GY Endurance so time will tell. I do like the fact that I can cruise at 70 with the GY.
Note, be sure your new tires are balanced!

RE: New B & W WD trailer hitch

Looks like an interesting alternative to the current hitches out here. Give it some time and we’ll see if it stands up to its claim. Some people on You Tube will give it reviews.

RE: 2017 coachmen Leprochaun slide mechanism

Chances are it’s a Lippert. Go to their site, choose your slide design, then look at their diagnostic videos.

RE: Towing a Scion FRS 4 down

The manual transmission design is such that when the output shaft is being driven, (as when being towed 4 down)the countershaft does not rotate; the countershaft must rotate to lubricate the main shaft and its components. Don’t recommend towing 4 down.

RE: Trip Planning

Once you’re at the “plan trip” section of their website, click on the “things to do” icon and check Pilot/Flying J. They will show up on the map during your trip routing.

RE: Slide trouble

Not knowing what slide set up you’re dealing with I’ll roll the dice and say Lippert.
Check out their website. Once you determine which slide setup you’re dealing with, check the related videos which I have found to be very helpful in the past.

RE: trailer suspension

To answer your question, is it practical? No. Some of these suggestions are ludicrous.
Some of the suggested upgrades aren’t even available for a single axle trailer!
If you want to be pro-active and improve the ride and safety of your trailer, replace the tires with a quality tire like Goodyear Endurance or Maxxis M8008. You might be able to move up a size to a tire with a little more load capacity. Regardless what tire you get, have them balanced. Properly inflate them and religiously monitor them.
Install a quality hitch and set it up per instructions, and properly load your trailer as mentioned in the posts above. Get rid of the cheap tires.
Now load up, hook up, and hit the road. Go make some memories.

While you’re under there you might consider lubricating the threads.
