Winnebago Sunstar 31be driving impressions

Hi Everyone. Looks like we will be pulling the trigger on a 2019 Winnebago Sunstar 31be. Does anyone have any experience with the highway handling on this coach? I’m coming from a shorter class C. I’m well aware the handling will not be the same, I guess I’m getting concerned with some of these horror stories on the handling on some of these 30ish foot class a gassers. Ive taken it for a test drive, but keep in mind that’s limited and where I’m buying is very flat simple terrain. Has anyone owned one of these or equivalent models that can comment on the handling at highway speeds?

RE: getting schocked by door/electrical issue urgent

ok so, the electricity goes away when Im unplugged or running off the generator. Theres probably some issue with the outlet, but can someone please explain how this could happen? Theres literally no wiring in the door?

getting schocked by door/electrical issue urgent

Hey everyone currently have a 2018 Minnie winnie 22M. Im currently plugged into an outlet with a 30 to 15 amp adapter. Heres the issue....I just went to open the door and I can clearly feel electricity running through the metal door handle. Not enough to shock, but you can definitely feel it. You can also feel it on the metal parts of the door hinges. Im freaking out a bit. Can anyone explain what would be causing this? Since Im pretty far from supplies, Im hoping to get an explanation asap!

RE: New Onan 4000 wont start

New update. I drained the carb. Got it to crank up but was rough idle. Actually not rough as it was pulsating. It stalled out after 5 minutes and now stalls right out after starting. Going to try more carb cleaner and clean the fuel lines. Got code 15 and 36. Any input?

RE: New Onan 4000 wont start

Read the fault code. Its a code 36. At least it doesn’t seem like a major code. Says to check fuel level, air filter, and spark plug and to check for mechanical damage

RE: New Onan 4000 wont start

House batteries are on full charge. Warranty one year and no dealers are close by. Cheaper and easier to make some educated guess. I’ve worked on my share of generators and am certain it’s soenthing stupid. Just trying to narrow my plan. Went through the guide. Nothing has low voltage

New Onan 4000 wont start

Hi. I’ve got a Winnebago 2018. Our generator has about 30 hours on it and was last used about 60 days ago. Everything worked fine. I went to crank up the generator today and it cranks, starts, and then immediately shuts off. After that it only cranks but will not start. It also didn’t sound like it stalled out. Sounded like it was shut off. Here’s what I e tried. It’s a Cummins Onan 4000 1. Oil was recently changed before last use and oil level is accurate 2. Primed the lines for 30 seconds as mentioned in manual 3. Tested fuel lines. Fuel pump is working and pumping fuel just fine. What are the common early failure parts on these generators. It’s so weird since it is newer. Nothing should be failing at this point but these things happen. I know on my last generator the oil pressure sensors were notorious. Any help is appreciated as I’ve literaly owned the rv just over a year and the warranty is out. Lol. Thanks

Leak from top of black tank

Hi everyone. Having some minor issues with my Winnie 22m Minnie Winnie. It appears there is something leaking from the top of my black water tank. Here’s the thing. It only leaks/seeps when I’m plugged into city water. What do you guys think it can be? Trying to link a pic but it’s just water dripping down the side of the black water tank.
