RE: Campground near Disneyland, Anaheim,CA

As expensive as that real estate is, I'm surprised there are any rv parks in the area.

RE: National Park "First Come, First Served" - EXCEPT!!!!

Not NP rangers but AZ park state rangers told us once we were lucky to be boating on THEIR lake (Roosevelt outside of Phoenix). Left me a bad taste about these park rangers who seem to forget who owns what and who pays who.

RE: Please Help 03, Bigfoot 25B25RQ

Plenty of trailers without leaks. I'd keep looking. Keep in mind that where there's a water leak, mold isn't far behind. You can always peel up the carpet for a look see.

RE: Any reverse snowbirds out there?

I'm still here in Tucson setting up our RV show in triple digit heat and we do have people buying. We're leaving soon for a few days in San Diego, though, where temps are barely into the 70s. I have commitments here and can't leave for extended stays in cooler weather. I have one friend who stays in San Diego the entire summer. It runs him over $6k to do so at a premier RV resort. I used to think that was expensive but remembered my last cruise ship suite ran me the same amount for only a week. I'll do SD for 3 months anytime. Realistically it's hot everywhere. My wife's family is having a camping party this weekend in southern Michigan and it's forecast to be over 100. We've been to Idaho and Montana when temps have been in the 90s. It's summer.

RE: 2009 Burb

I spent 30 years driving cop cars and those engines are operating (idling mostly) the entire shift even though I might only drive 30 miles. Buyer beware.

RE: They Better Not Screw Us Up

It's all a joke. The guy who created the Facebook page has come forward saying so.

RE: Front steer tire blowout analysis 2

All one needs do is hit the brakes when the steer tire blows and its a quick trip into the weeds, no steering required.

RE: HOW DOES AAA WORK .. OR NOT

Are you going to contact AAA for an explanation? I'd sure like to hear their side of the story.

RE: Air Ride Pin Box

I use the arrow on the shock and a pressure gauge. Usually the pressure is around 75-80 psi. BTW if you have the TriGlide model get rid of it. This is the one with the lower plate that shifts fore and aft. It breaks and you can lose your trailer, I almost did. They don't make them any more.

RE: There's a reason to get rid of six-year-old tires.

I've seen trailer tires blow out without being on the ground, they were spares. One was stored under the trailer while the other was attached to the rear bumper. Chinese tires don't care how old they are, how they've treated, or if they've even been used. They are designed to blow up.

RE: Buying out of state

Why do you want to specifically buy in Cally? Cally taxes are terrible. There's lots of quality Class C's closer to where you live.

RE: Gas TV for a year long trip

I've got a 91 gallon tank for diesel in the bed of my truck. Add that to the 36 gallons the truck came with and I can tow my 19,000 pound trailer over 800 miles before needing to refuel. The real benefit is I choose when to refuel and that is always without the trailer in tow. Back in 2009 I was towing a 24ft boat with a Ford gas truck with the 7.5 liter gas engine. It really sucked towing the 6% grades going to the lake. Borrowed a friends Duramax and was able to tow at the speed limit with the cruise on. That was unheard of with my truck. I bought my own Duramax and haven't looked back.
