RE: I'm going camping.

AZ state parks are open but are closed to locals because the snowbirds aren't leaving till end of April. We're loading up the RZR and going to spend next week boondocking and riding the trails.

RE: Closure Threads

Oh please. I just perused the ATC forum and all of the C-19 threads are closed. I also noted that the non C-19 threads were not closed. Hmm. You mods obviously want zero C-19 discussions. Reminds me when Marcus told the world he didn't want certain people as customers, those posts were also closed.

RE: how good are the 2005 safari simba,s

It was probably a good coach at one time but who knows its condition today. I work for an RV dealer and see a lot of poorly kept coaches that are less than 5 years old. Since you own it you should know by now if it's a good coach.

RE: Colorado State Parks closure

I was confused as to the why when NM closed overnight camping at their state parks but kept them open for day use. Made no sense to me.

RE: Roof coatings.

Out here in AZ we use a rubberized roof coating on our homes. Some people have been using this coating on their RVs with success. I've only used it on my home and am very pleased with the results. It paints on with a roller and drys quickly.

RE: Colorado State Parks closure

Yep, we're all gonna just sit here and let them close down all the parks and not say anything about it. Like it or not it's all politics at this point.

RE: Colorado State Parks closure

All these state park closures - how is this supposed to protect us from this virus? I don't see any apartment complexes getting closed and people live a whole lot closer to each other in apartments.

RE: Anyone seen a Van Leigh???

VanLeigh now calls itself a Tiffin product, which it is, and they've been out for over a year. Their entry level is the Pincrest, middle is the Vilano, and the top-of-the-line is the Beacon. Sale prices at our store has the Beacon $98-101k and the Vilano in the 70s. The Beacon has dual pane windows and much thicker walls, lots of luxury. They sport the same Spyder control panel found in their Tiffin motorhomes. These trailers appear to be of better quality than many others we sell.

RE: Vinyl Graphic Repair

I did my entire trailer with Meguier's Supreme Shine. It cleans, shines, and protects with UV inhibitors. It even made the gelcoat shine.

RE: Can You Pass Through States with Stay at Home Orders?

Fortunately in AZ and Tucson there are no stay at home orders. So far we spent a couple of days doing some non-essential RZR riding, I worked 3 days this week at my non-essential part-time job at the RV dealership, and we're doing a few days of non-essential camping/RZR riding next week. Basically we are not staying home and are trying to live the same life we would without this over-hyped flu bug. One other thought: What authority does a politician have to force people to stay home? Inspite of this so-called virus emergency we still have Constitutional Rights to move freely about the US and to freely assemble. A governor or mayor does not have the right to restrict our movements. My daughter's family was in California this past week for a vacation and the governor closed the public beaches. Cops were posted to force compliance. Did the governor have the legal authority to do that? Hopefully, someone will challenge the governors actions as being unconstitutional. I understand that there are perceived measures to fight this virus but the Constitution needs to regarded and We-the-People need to stand up to and fight politicians who insist on taking away our Constitutional Rights. If they feel they can violate our rights during this period they will violate our rights in other situations.

RE: RV living and registering child for 1st grade.

Here in Tucson there are a few full-timers with small children living in their RVs at the county fairgrounds RV park. School bus picks the kids up.

RE: Cleaning NL (fiberglass) shell

Until you clean the roof don't bother cleaning anything else. The roof will continue dripping crud onto the trailer sides.

RE: insurance

29 years old? By the ocean? I'd consider it a throw-away, not worth insuring.

RE: 20 year loan for RV?

If you can't put at least half down and finance the rest for no more than 10 years then maybe you shouldn't be in that high of an RV market. We did 15 years on our trailer to keep the payments down and I wouldn't do that again. Obviously we bought too much trailer.

RE: Can You Pass Through States with Stay at Home Orders?

Sorry to those who can't take some humor. This virus has scared far too many people (snowflakes?). Were you all this scared in 2009 when the H1N1 killed 12,468 people in the US and there were 60 million reported cases? As I recall nothing much happened during that pandemic, no panic, no empty store shelves, no stay at home orders, no closed businesses, no nothing. Yet this new virus comes along, which isn't a fraction as deadly as the H1N1 and everyone is losing their minds. Maybe we've gotten too soft.

RE: Bearings

I've been running the same stock cheapo bearings my trailer came with. In 6 years I've repacked the bearings twice and they still look like new. This past repacking I was looking for new inner seals and the Timkins were $29 each. I bought the cheapo style that came with my trailer for $7 each, which have been working just fine for 6 years. My point is I know Timkin is a great bearing but it seams the cheapo stuff works just as well. At least in my case.

RE: virus

We're still trying to do some camping but the state parks near us are still full of snow-birds till the end of April. At least they haven't closed the state parks like other states. We're gonna be doing some boon-docking, instead. Virus or no virus we still want to go camping before the temps are in the triple digits. With all the craziness associated with this virus we're trying to live life as normally as we can but that's near impossible. I stopped by Harbor Freight today to get a box of gloves and found the shelves empty. A sign said all the gloves had been donated to area hospitals. Wife has been to the grocery stores a few times only to find the shelves bare of most everything. We have become Venezuela...for no reason.

Obviously plenty are. I'm having some fun here. People are so gullible. It must be true, I heard it on the internet, lol.
