If you're truck can't handle the mountain driving, stay on the interstates.

RE: Do most parks check/copy your ID? (Victims of ID theft)

People still write checks? You're just asking for trouble.

RE: Okay How many RV'ers here use CB-Radio's?

I thought I had a family radios but they're billed as COBRA ACXT545 Walkie Talkies. They look like family radios and have a range of 28 miles. I use them to communicate between my RZR and home base trailer.

RE: Are campgrounds more crowded or is it just me?

Here in southern AZ most all of our RV parks are jam packed during the "snow" season and are remarkably empty during the heat of the summer.

RE: potential new rv resort

No businesses are needed near an RV park, the fewer the better. Also, the land is usually less expensive the farther from town.

RE: Around Coolidge AZ?

I've been through Coolidge many times but if you want to avoid it and take a longer route go through Payson via Mesa..

RE: wind

My toy hauler is the most stable RV I've ever had in a cross wind. Saturday I drove a new Fleetwood Discovery 40' diesel pusher from Phoenix to Tucson and the wind was blowing. Even a big heavy rig like this one got moved around by the gusty crosswind.

RE: Tucson to Show Low

Salt River Canyon is a blast on a motorcycle. Lots of steepness and sharp turns. I've done it many times on two wheels. I've also done it towing my condo. Not nearly as much fun as on two wheels but it's no big deal. 87 also works. I go that way when I'm moving motorhomes from Albuquerque to Phoenix.

RE: Brake fluid flush

There's too much riding on brakes. If you've never done it before have someone who has show you in person.

RE: In bed diesel tanks

I have a 91 gal RDS tank with a built in tool box. It's gravity feed and has been great for 6 years now. Awesome going to the gas station when and where I want to. I have about 800-900 mile range pulling that condo behind me. Haven't found any negatives.

RE: Sad state of national parks and public lands.

With millions of visitors to our national parks it's hard to believe we can't turn a profit. Actually it is very believable because our government bureaucrats only know how to spend, spend, spend. Make a buck? Forget it. Give the parks over to private management and watch them flourish. Maybe we could even get RV areas large enuf for big rigs.

RE: gps which one is best, second best

I'm sold on the free Google Maps app on my droid phone. I use it on my Harley, in my own vehicles, and in the assorted motorhomes I drive at work. I really like the feature that lets me know where the radar traps are. I also have the Sirus app so my phone does everything I need.

RE: If you could own any brand of toy hauler…

They're all under $100k with the appropriate price reductions. Mine was listed $109 and we got it for $77. I've seen Cyclones in the low to mid $80s.
