RE: Pulling with 1/2 ton

his use of the gvwr is a little misleading! my T/T has 7300gvwr then subtract the UVR 5274# + WATER, BATT, PROPANE 350# = 5624# SO 7300 -5624 =1676 actual supply carrying compacity. or CCC loaded heavy i'm only about 700# of supply's so this 5674# + 700 =6374# ready to camp checked at the scales. that's a 1000# from the GVWR, quite a difference. most people are not going to load to the max GVWR. RE: Tow Vehicle Question

I tow a 27' that weighs about 6500-7000 ready to camp with a 1500 GMC its a 2010 crew cab 4wd with tow package. it handles my T/T perfect. I have about 10,000 mi. on the package and its absolutely a pleasurer to drive. that being said I don't think I would want to go much over that weight and length.8000 + is quite a jump. Jay D.

RE: Two honda generators in tandem

Hi, That is an image rather than a link. Hi, You have one what? Please do provide a link. check this out before you go and pay 300.00 for a micro-air I have one and it works fine. seller name is applianceandair on eBay Jay D. yes I have the heavy duty capacitor he sells plus the soft start that delays the start of the compressor. you should be able to find him by just going to eBay and search sellers with APPLIANCEANDAIR all one word. I tried to post a link off eBay but it won't work may be an eBay thing. http://applianceandair.com/images/sign-0012_01.png Jay D. applianceandair.com site is under construction Jay D.

RE: Another Rear End Accident Story

a rider has nothing to do with his predicament. he has lost his ability to use his camper and to go camping BECAUSE of the NEGLIGENT truck driver. truck drivers insurance should cover it, a good lawyer and a jury is all that's needed. Jay D.

RE: Another Rear End Accident Story

you should set down and call every attorney in the phone book until you find one that's hungry enough to help you. I was in the same situation you are with a motorcycle accident. it wasn't a hole lot of damage but the ins.co. was giving me a hard time. my lawyer got my money for me and his fee also. about 5 times more than if they would have been fair with me. you did NOTHING WRONG in this situation, you should not have to pay anything out of your pocket, nada, nothing, zilch. find an lawyer that wants to help you, most will do the first visit free. RE: 1st time boondocking and could not get our AC to work

before anyone pays 300.00 + for one of these check out this guy on eBay. APPLIANCEANDAIR sellers name. I have one of these it works fine. I asked an industrial electrician were I worked about these. he said sure I can build one, the parts will come to less than 20.00. its just a couple relays and a timer delay. it starts the fan then a few seconds the compressor comes on, timer is adjustable. Jay D. You put a replacement capacitor on your AC system and will run off a 2200 watt generator? i'm not sure what it is your asking but I did replace my capacitor and installed the delay kit, mine works fine now. 3500 w AC with a 3500 w gen. it wouldn't start before, but after reading here I could have had my charging system on. Jay D.

RE: Need help with a Exterior problem

most totals are because of the labor cost. if your skilled and have the tools to repair, yes it can be a good deal. but probably not for resale. Jay D.

RE: 1st time boondocking and could not get our AC to work

I am thinking we may need to install some sort of Hard Start Capacitor.. Thoughts?? I wouldn't waste the time or $$ installing a hard start cap which will only result in a marginal improvement vs installing a Micro-Air Easy Start soft starter kit on your A/C. Quite a few forum members now own an Easy Start and report excellent results. before anyone pays 300.00 + for one of these check out this guy on eBay. APPLIANCEANDAIR sellers name. RE: Need help with a Exterior problem

have you checked to make sure the slide go's in and out? can't really tell from the pictures but it looks like maybe something came down on top of it. looks like most of the damage is on the slide. do you possibly have more pictures? you can get the new siding material from most any major rv repair place, they will have it on a roll. if you can get it CHEEP it might be a good deal. I've bought a few totaled cars before, i'm in the autobody business. if you buying it for yourself good, if your trying to make money off of it good luck. that salvage title will kill you.it may be ok after you fix it but NO ONE will want to buy it. Jay D.

https://www.ebay.com/usr/applianceandair?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 I had the same problem your having and have a 3500 champion inverter gen. I finally bought one of the above and now its starts fine. get the starter and the capacitor. all that soft start kit does Is what your doing by starting the fan then a few seconds it starts the compressor. im think the onboard charger is a problem if its on they can be disabled at the breaker panel? RE: Bicyclist/RV Death

At 64, I still ride quite a bit. Montana 2 is listed as one of the more dangerous roads in America. High speed limit, sharp curves with small shoulders. Not blaming the cyclist, just saying for me, would not be a road I would ride. Risk avoidance i'm an avid bike rider and just bought a couple elec bikes. but YES, good common sense would be a good thing. but you rarely see it in the bike community. Jay D.
