RE: NFL Draft

Charlie, actually Mike Weber is an excellent RB and will be very comfortable as a backup to the #1 RB at the Dallas Cowboys "Zeke", who he backed up at Ohio State! It was a good solid pick for your Cowboys! Chuck.

RE: NFL Draft

Charlie & all, (3) more Buckeyes signed Free Agent contracts with NFL teams. And I see 2 of the 3 making the squad. Bags.

RE: NFL Draft

So far (9) Buckeyes drafted into the NFL. Since 2000, both LSU & OSU have had (20) wide receivers drafted into the NFL. Ok, it looks like (9) Buckeyes were drafted and I expect several more Buck to be sign as undrafted Free Agents! Like Johnny Dixon for example.

RE: NFL Draft

Charlie, I thought Haskins would have gone #6 to the N.Y. Giants, but the Redskins stadium is only 27-28 miles away from where he played his H.S. ball. The most important thing is what kind of Pro career one has in the NFL. Don't forget, Tom Brady was NOT a high 1st. Round Draft Pick! Quite frankly I have much confidence in "Simba" Dwayne Haskins! Bags.

Believe it or not, the Vegas odds makers have Michigan as a 6.5 point favorite over Ohio State this year (November). I'll take does odds any day! Bags.

RE: The Long (6) Month Wait For College Football!!!!!!!!!!!!

naturist, easy answer, The Buckeyes will Beat the Wolverines like a dirty throw rug! And they'll spank Michigan again in 2020, which means OSU will beat UM 18 of 20 times from 2001 to 2020. Sorry Mich. fans, but we have your number! GO BUCKS & GEAUX LSU.

RE: The Long (6) Month Wait For College Football!!!!!!!!!!!!

George, I also think some players are transferring to other teams just to be able to play on Saturday or to join a team that could possible make a run for the National Championship! For example, last year Joe Burrow left OSU with 2 years of eligibility left and he knew that Dwayne Haskins was going to be #1, so Joe scooted on down to Baton Rouge, La. and started for LSU.

The Long (6) Month Wait For College Football!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about the rest of you College Football fans, but for me it is absolute torture for me! Especially with all these transfers leaving their current team and getting to play for another team without sitting out for a year. There were a few last year, like Joe Burrow from Ohio State to LSU, but this year it is absolutely rampant!!

RE: DBU - Most DB's Drafted Since 2000!!!

I didn't pick the dates, it was 24/7 Sports. I also have a list of which teams put the most Line Backers & Wide Receivers drafted into the NFL. My best guess is they used 2000 as a start as it is the beginning of the 21st. Century! Bags....Here is the list of LB's drafted since 2000: 19 Ohio State 19 Georgia 17 USC 16 Alabama 15 FSU 15 Oklahoma 14 Florida 14 Miami (Fla) 12 Tennessee 11 Michigan 11 Penn State 11 UCLA 11 Washington

Charlie, Joe Burrows is a terrific young man and comes from a great family and I hope he takes your LSU Tigers to the Promised Land in the SEC!

28 Ohio State 24 Va. Tech. 22 Alabama 22 LSU 22 Florida 21 Miami (Fla) 20 FSU 17 Georgia 17 USC 16 Clemson 16 Nebraska 16 Oklahoma 16 Texas I did NOT make up these numbers, but did glean them from 24/7 Sports. BIG10 2 teams, SEC 4 teams, ACC 4 teams, BIG12 2 teams, PAC12 1 team.

RE: Top 20 2019 NCAA FB Recruiting Rankings- Rival

Well, lets look at the 2019 college football rankings from a different perspective, by ranking each teams by their personal average ranking by points using 24/7 sports: #1. Alabama #2. Georgia #3. Ohio State #4. Texas #5. Auburn #6. Florida #7. Penn State #8. Texas A&M #9. LSU 10. Michigan 11. Oklahoma 12. Tennessee 13. Clemson 14. FSU There are many factors that factor into recruiting rankings, such as how many recruits can any particular team sign. This year Ohio State only signed 17 players, but they are getting 2 transfers, one is Justin Fields QB is the highest ranked football player ever to play for OSU, but he doesn't count in the rankings. PSU & Michigan had massive recruiting classes, but for some reason there has been a mass Exodus of players leaving these two programs. And then you have some teams that over sign recruits and in the spring run off players they don't want on the team or send them to a Junior College. So what we are really talking about is "Quality" vs "Quanity!" The above teams were ranked on the average value of the group of players signed for each respective team.

Upcoming NFL Draft/April 2019

Speaking of Ohio State, I see (10) Buckeyes being drafted and I see (3) being picked in the 1st. round. What I find absolutely amazing is that OSU's Dwayne Haskins, who finished 3rd. in the Heisman vote, will be the the 1st. QB drafted in the 1st. round! He just didn't get all the "hype" the other two candidates got, but I'm definitely NOT taking anything away from the other two Tua & Kyler as they were both outstanding QB's and first rate dudes! All three (3) were quality human beings and great QB's. My daughter's boyfriend insisted that Will Grier from West Virginia was going to win the Heisman and was far better than Haskins. Well, the Pro Scouts know quality, at least most of the time! Bags.....But, he is a graduate from that University Up North in Ann Arbor!
