RE: NC I95 towable crash near Kenly

A real shame. In many states illegal and never a good idea. This applies to humans and animals. They took a risk and lost. Now must live with the aftermath for years. They are in our prayers.

RE: Electric brakes

I would suggest you go back and solder those wires and shrink wrap.

RE: AGM batteries & solar battery tender

As stated by several people above disconnect a wire from the battery. An AGM will need charging after about 4 weeks or so even if you disconnect a wire. I suggest you disconnect a wire and put 10 watt maintainers on each battery. A disconnect switch is not adequate. It may be simpler to bring the batteries home with you.

RE: AGM batteries & solar battery tender

We have one AGM battery being maintained by a Coleman 6 watt battery maintainer. You didn't state how many batteries you will be maintaining but Coleman also makes a 10 watt maintainer for $50. Most maintainers have a diode to keep the reverse flow of power during periods of darkness. If you totally disconnect your batteries the 10 watt may carry two. We bought ours at tractor supply. Notice a charger and maintainer are two different animals.

RE: Changing oil.

I frequently use fast lube shops plus Walmart (20 years) in many states for my Ram trucks and have never seen any of them servicing a MH. This means nothing. Just because you haven't seen something doesn't mean it doesn't happen. I personally have used a quick oil change business as well as the local Ford dealer.

RE: America's first automated RV park

Personally I could care less if I have contact with a person to check in. About the only thing I get there is advice about things to see and do in the area. I do enjoy talking to fellow RVers in the park. That is still possible regardless of the method of check-in. I am not about to knock this park. I do believe it is grossly overpriced. I wonder about security and that remains to be determined. It does appear better than truck stops, rest areas, Wally World, Cracker barrel, etc. Someone invested a huge amount of money and I hope it makes a go of it. Otherwise we will continue to complain about the lack of RV parks. There is room in this endeavor for all parties.

RE: First place to look re. where water got in to our TT

Water intrusion is as bad as fire. It needs to be attacked as vigorously.

RE: America's first automated RV park

Clearly this type of RV park is not for those who are technologically challenged or those who are resistant to change. For others it will fill a need. I feel they do need to get their pricing in line with services provided. No pool, internet, fire ring, showers or restrooms is not reflected in the price. If this was a resort area or near a venue that draws crowds it would be different its not.

RE: America's first automated RV park

Ken, It is my understanding that you register online and then answer a email to turn on electricity and water and gain use of sewer. After your term expires water and electricity are cut off remotely. If you think that compares to an envelope in a slot then to each his own.

America's first automated RV park

Go to. Rvselfpark.com for additional information but there is a YouTube post from a texas couple that explains how it works. I have no financial interest in this park but find it a interesting concept.

RE: Adding simple fan, Looking for RV vent fan bracket...

That bracket can easily be made by anyone with a vise and metal working skills. Check with someone who works with hvac venting. Should be inexpensive.

The ring will slip over your plug. You will need to work it some.
