RE: RV park "STANDARDS"

"RV Resort" is the most verbally abused word in the RV park industry. There are no standards, regulations, etc. As long as the sign painter can put it on signage, it's good to go!

RE: 2020 with stain above awning

tourusa, how long have you been in AZ? After being here 20 years, looks like AZ. dust that has settled on roof, etc. When it gets damp, it tends to do what I see in the pictures. Rain can cause it but if enough rain it generally just runs off or collects in numerous places. Reminds me of weak coffee or weak hot chocolate. Have you been up on the roof to check out accumulation of dust?

RE: Washington DC Advice Needed

Mr. Moderator, he said "we find an RV park" and then go from there. So I figured he wasn't set on another mode.

RE: Washington DC Advice Needed

Try Bull Run County Park just off Bull Run Battlefield. Metro station just short up the road. We always used this for sightseeing or ball games in the DC area. Metro is so easy to use.

RE: Twin Falls ID to Las Vegas NV Advice

We do this twice yearly. Out of Ely, take US 6 to RT 318, 318 back to US 93 near Alamo. It is shorter and a pull or two less. Great road, it will be you, some semis', some RVs and some cars. Brings you out at I-15 just north of N. Las Vegas. Just watch weather for Ely.

RE: Handy kitchen tip #93

Wife came home with a bag of those clips several years ago. I don't know how many uses I have found for them in my endeavors.

RE: Water pump woes UPDATED!!!!

If you have an outside shower, check to see if the knobs are turned off. If on and the shower head turned off, the head loves to drip.

RE: Awning material replacement questions

I got material from ShadePro for replacement on our power awning. Did it myself. But ShadePro seems to be very well respected in the Yuma and Quartzite and the Southern California areas for good work. Their trucks are all over the area especially during snowbird season.

A couple of the old guys passed away in the last week. Buddy Arrington and Neil "Soapy" Castles. RIP Fellows.

RE: Route NW Chicago to Whitefish MT

Toughest part of the trip will be driving around Whitefish!

RE: Spare wiring behind Microwave

What type of range hood do you have? If 12 vdc light and fan, do they work or never hooked up?

RE: Nascar Follies

Cloud, your correct. Today's drivers have no clue of what is in or under the car. Goes to the shop, gets fitted for the seat. With no practice and sometimes no qualifying, "just drive the car and ask no questions"!

RE: Alignment shop

flyfishing 48, dont know where you are in the Keystone, but if near Chambersburg, give this shop a call. Always did my trailer alignment and our telephone co truck suspension work. Also made me several new spring packs over the years. Gaumers https://www.cylex.us.com/company/gaumers-chassis-engineering---service-9976048.html

RE: Yellowstone roads closed!

Just remember all Constuction in YNP is weather related. Very short season for most projects. H & K Contruction in Idaho Falls must be rubbing their hands together.

RE: TT Roof Treatment

Try TSP. I found it Home Depot. Couldn't believe how white the roof turned out. I hand scrubbed with a brush. Do plenty of rinsing. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Savogran-10621-1lb-TSP-All-Purpose-Heavy-Duty-Washing-Powder/39944538 EDIT: Fixed your link.

Another thing to remember is the warehousing, the supplying of the stores and fuel stations, restaurants etc. all within park boundaries.

RE: AC on or off?

There are thousands of RVs parked in parks in the Yuma, AZ. area for the summer at whatever temps. Yesterday 113 and will escalate as summer nears. No one lets their AC on!
