air ride height control valve

I have a 2007 Coachmen Cross Country 389DS. My issue is I have an air ride control valve going bad. I say valve, but it is actually the piece that screws into the actual valve. It has two lines going into it and then it goes into the actual valve assembly. The air ride will not air up on the rear. This piece has two small holes in it coved by a rubber casing around it. I can feel the air being blown out of it. If I pull the rubber casing back and put my fingers over the holes the air ride inflates and stays up like normal. I am trying to figure out what this piece is called. I have found new valves that look just like mine but none of them have this piece with them. Have any of you had these issues before? and if so what did you do to fix it? or does anyone know what this part is called?

22.5 wheels

this may be a stupid question but i'm gonna ask it anyway. Can you run a steel wheel on the rear inside and a Alcoa aluminum wheel on the outside without any issues. I'm thinking it should be no issue, but just want to get some valuable info from you all. I want to buy 4 Alcoa wheels to put on my coach and I plan on running two steel wheels on the inside of rear axle. Thanks for any info.

Thanks for the info. I have a couple of numbers to call tomorrow. Haven't found anything online yet. Trying to find out what years are interchangeable with the 2007. I found doors for and 2004.

compartment door replacement

I am in dire need of a new compartment door for my 2007 Coachman Cross Country 389DS. I had one left open when backing into the garage and it curled it up badly. I have been searching online for a replacement but am not having any luck at all. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks for any help.

RE: diesel generator running issue

When it goes back to no load is when it shuts down sounds like the fuel is being shut off. How is the fuel filter? Brand new fuel filter just put on it.

For some reason I’m not getting notifications when someone answers my forum questions. I used to get them with no problem. Any ideas as to why I can’t get them ?

RE: diesel generator running issue

Sounds like something in the engine governor system and fuel system. I am guessing it runs off the main MH tank. First thought is to run some diesel fuel system cleaner through the system. It would take a good amount. then run the genset long enough to pump through the genset fuel system. Genset may not be coming up to operational RPM until the governor sees a heavier load. It does run off if the main tank. I have a fuel system cleaner in it already. I always add a bottle of diesel additive to the tank when I park it after a trip. I fill the tank and add the additive. It runs great under a load. I’m going to run it with a load and then start reducing the load a little at a time until everything is off and see if it dies then. Thanks for the input. If you think of anything else please pass it along.

RE: diesel generator running issue

Ok a new update. After checking it out today, when I started it the first time without a load and it ran about 45 seconds and died and threw the code 3-27 again. I started it right back up and put it under a load right off and it ran fine. after about 20 minutes I turned the AC off and it ran fine. So what I am seeing is it runs fine under a load but dies without a load. Now I am scratching my head on this one !!!

Verify operation of the transfer switch. The genset is seeing the shore power. Thats what I was thinking, I have a switch that might have stuck or is going bad. I'm not much of an electrician so I am going to have to get a friend of mine to help me out. Thanks for the input.

RE: generator issues

Well after fooling with it today trying to get some ideas on what to check I finally got it to run. It had been plugged in to shore power all winter long and I know I have ran the generator with it being plugged in with no issues. Well today after fooling with it, I decided to unplug it and see what would happen. Well it took off like a champ and ran just fine for over 3 hours under a load. I finally shut it down and plan on trying it again tomorrow just to see what it does. Not sure why it being plugged in would matter, but apparently is did. Just wondering if I may have a switch or something going bad. If anyone hs any ideas please pass them along. Thanks.

RE: generator issues

It’s not throwing a code that I know of. Nothing comes up on the dash when it dies. Code would be flashing lights on the start switch light Ok, it is throwing a code then. I noticed the start button light flashing but didn't realize that's what it was doing. Where can a find a copy of what the codes are ? I just thought it was flashing like it does when the injectors are pre-heating for start up. Ok I finally got to check it out this morning. The code it is throwing is 3-27 3-service fault 27-voltage sense fault Controller unable to sense output voltage the troubleshooting guide says see an authorized Onan dealer. Is this something I could possibly fix ? any help is greatly appreciated

RE: generator issues

:That is a classic symptom of clogged filter,, Need more info to decide if air or fuel. Or a collapsed fuel line. What more info do you need ? I will try to answer your question. Thanks
