RE: Wife like the dark

One of my daughters did a paper on the cost of electricity used in homes from light bulbs. This was before LED was even an acronym and a single bulb cost $2 a year to leave on 24 7. I think a visit to the right Doctor is needed. Other solutions are divorce or motion lights that turn off shortly after you pass the area. My wife leaves lights on like the runway in a country song. The electric bill is the least of our worries.

RE: How 12v lights work?

The OP stated that he had unplugged the awning lights and the fuse still blew. "I inspected and disconnected the awning lights, checked the cable that goes inside, checked the switch, all good, but still it blows the fuse."

RE: Oil change in Nashville/Knoxville

A Valvoline quick service location may work if the RV fits thru the doors. They don't lift the vehicles, there is a pit in the floor. They will also use your oil and filter if you want and only charge you for the labor. Nashville oil change

RE: Dually tire replacement upcharge

Related to throwing heavy tires around.......... We hired a young man to do oil changes and tire rotations. He was a slight young man and HIS friend that recommended him told him that he'd never be able to lift the heavy truck tires. He suggested that he should let the 70 lbs of air out of each tire before he moved them so that he didn't hurt himself, and then refill them with "new" air. The young man did as what was suggested for several vehicles before one of the guys took pity on him and filled him in on the prank. I've never had a bad experience at Discount Tire. I just wish that they did front end alignments. I'm retired so Sunday openings aren't necessary.

RE: Forced out of your reservation

It seems that most YouTube crowd were previously in the construction business, specializing in making Mountains out of Molehills. It often appears they go to great lengths to make everyday encounters expand into click worthy events. But heck, it is on the internet, so it must be true.. That's what I'm saying. If time is money, quit wasting mine. I'm fine with their income, it's the content that is nonsense.

RE: Dually tire replacement upcharge

Sounds about normal for Ram. Ram is as Ram does. The OP never said that it was a dealership but it sure sounds like something a dealership would pull.

RE: Forced out of your reservation

The sad part is that these so called YouTubers are making money off of their babbling. Very few have content worth watching.

RE: Rv-ers prefer Duramax?

As in depth statistics of 2500 and 3500 sales and repair costs do not exist we'll never know. Buy what you like and fix it when it breaks.

Look again El Paso at NM border

RE: Nascar Follies

My take of what I read is that while yes she has laps at 'Dega they are not recent enough to automatically qualify her entry. She would have been required to resubmit her experience along with the entry. I don't know that that happened. If it had been in a Hendrick or Gibbs car we wouldn't be talking about this. It's been a very long time since Rick Ware's name has been mentioned.

RE: Florida State Parks increasing fees.

You do get a reduced rate as a FL resident. Half price for oldy oldsters. What else do you want? Eggs in your beer? :D

RE: El Paso, TX

El Paso is not in NM, but is in Texas. The NM state line is also the northern line of El Paso. You can get shot in either one, take your pick.

RE: 50 amp RV outlet

So the receptacle and how it's wired is the difference between RV friendly 50 amp 2 leg 110 and whatever RVers plug into that fries all the ac things in their unit? I have an electrician friend that did mine when we installed the whole house generator but I see a lot of do it yourself stuff done in the neighborhood without permits or inspections. Including a back feed outlet with no transfer switch on our house when we bought it.

RE: Nascar Follies

A lawyer would just be a waste of money. 'Dega is a pretty hairy place for a first Cup start. Like it or not it's NASCAR's game, NASCAR's call. It would be cool if they changed their minds and she won.

RE: Florida State Parks increasing fees.

The simple reason that they won't do it is that they need our tourist money. I guess that you could vote for a state income tax if you wanted, your choice. I didn't realize ya'll FL residents were so selfish. I'll call Gov Cooper later and get a toll gate installed at the NC border.

RE: How many times hve you heard a woman say it

A few years back my wife and I were standing in the hallway chatting when she went down like somebody shot her with a .308. She stated later that she could control when or if childbirth happened again but another stone could spring a sneak attack at any time.

RE: Florida State Parks increasing fees.

I’m with you JoeH. The state needs to go by way of Pinellas County. Give Florida residents 11 mos out for reservations and all other 7 or 6 or whatever. Two things here to talk about. The first is that the FL tags in state parks in the winter far exceed any other visitors. I know one camp host that hosts in the same town that they own a very nice home. Could be that they rent the house out. The other thing to mention is that when it's a zillion degrees down there and you want to come north we'll remember your stand on this. ;)

RE: Florida State Parks increasing fees.

Read the email again. The sites and cabins well be assessed the $7 daily charge previously only charged to day visitors. I doubt it will be retroactive, we'll find out eventually. To be frank I'm tired of playing their game anyway, double the rates and the game will end. There are those of us that are just cheap, and there are those of us that prefer the nature part of it.

RE: Battery wing nut size

Then call a shop that carries your battery and ask them what size the terminals are. Or buy several sizes. Calling them is not as easy as you think. All calls are only to pick up things, not for inquires. What battery made and model do you have? It is an Energizer. Not sure model. Call the bunny, he'll know.
