RE: Nascar Follies

It's been the Fords and the 11 Toyota all year. Mr Gibbs is probably not too happy right about now.

RE: Recent wonderful trip

:) I always enjoy reading about other RVers trips so here is ours. We took an 11 day vacation beginning at Black Water State Park, WV. Then we spent a few days in Shenandoah National Park, then a few days in Northern Pa in the Alleghany National Forest at a beautiful ANF campground, Willow Bay, then finished at Cooks Forest State Park. We Love CFSP but pet sites are limited and not in the best part of the campground. We no longer have a pet but there are always many sites where pets cannot go, sad. During the trip we saw 3 black bears, 1 bob cat, and multiple deer from the truck. There were bear where we hiked but they stayed away. We heard and smelled their musty smell. We hiked 8 mountain hikes totaling 40+ miles. We love hiking and I was proud that we did it all. Not bad for a couple of old people. We are so blessed to have Nat'l, State Parks and National Forests in this country. For jdc1 :) The little-known shortcut for adding emojis on Mac and Windows Click on any text field. RE: PRICE DROPS coming on new GM small diesels

Give it time. Somebody will figure out how to replace the belt with a popsicle stick and a bottle opener.

RE: Full Time For Six Months

I think there's enough interest. Tell us your experiences and opinions, a lot of us will read your thread. Not everyone who reads them will respond so, you won't know how many read what you posted. The column next to replies titled views will give him that info.

RE: Storing a Trailer Aid

We lost a trailer tire on US 58 a few weeks back with no shoulder. Called the local Police, they had a blocker there in 10 minutes. I didn't get out of the truck until they got there. The newbie truckers had no problem moving over then.

RE: How do you pay your bills on the road on extended trips?

Auto pay and auto deposit. All credit cards send a text and/or email on every use including amount and where. Accounting is on Quick Books as needed.

VA rt 822 to Goose Point Park on Phillpott lake

This mountain goat road runs about 5 miles to the CG off of VA 57. There is no other access to the CG. I guess they never heard of switchbacks. Luckily we drove up in the car to check it out for something to do during the Covid. Phillpott is a lovely COE lake and worth the drive provided you don't have a big heavy 5er. I'm thinking 26 ft TT or smaller.

RE: Social Security and Mailing Address flagged as Commercial

Showing them a SS card would be problematic in this instance. :)

RE: No More RVIA Shows

Maybe they are just tired of holding the hands of the cry baby dealers to put this thing together for zero financial benefit. I don't blame them, the need has passed.

RE: Needs multi-platform website monitor for son's online usage

The key is to block everything and then allow certain sites. Proxy sites can get around everything else. You will die of old age before you can b lock everything one at a time.

RE: Flipping Axle

Raising a trailer may make your AC units disappear. Be aware of the new height that will result before raising the unit. As to the brake comment I hope they forgot the smiley face.

RE: 72 ounce steak and potato and salad

We've been there and it's a hoot. The contestants are up on a raised platform with a giant LED countdown display like it was New Years Eve. You don't have to eat the shrimp tails or the potato skins Nobody won when we were there but one guy did eat 50 ounces of the 72 required. I didn't even try but I did eat the 22 ounce sirloin and it's accessories. They have 14 older limos with long horns on the hood and they will come pick you up at your camp site and take you back for free. Please tip the driver.

RE: Nascar Follies

Looks like SHR is waffling on Kyle Larson. As of yesterday Boyer was not signed but a statement came out that they intended to stay with the current line up.
