RE: Carolina Pines RV Resort Myrtle Beach

There is mention of the pool in section A being heated, best to call the park to confirm, This area is always busy near round due to the native population and things to do. The weather can be all over the place around New Years. We have been here at that time when the temps were high 60s but we have also had to wait for the awning to thaw out before we could leave the next day. That day was forecast to be in the 70s NOT! The oceanfront parks would be warmer that time of year as the water is still warmer than the air. This park is well back from the ocean. You shouldn't have any issues getting in wherever you want to at that time of year.

RE: Carolina Pines RV Resort Myrtle Beach

We are sitting in the park right now. This place is over the top with more to come. The pools are still open, the water park is still open. The bowling alley, bar, restaurant, dog parks, camp store, and putt putt golf are all open. You just need to see it, it's all first class. Even the palm trees each have their own flood lights. The sites are decently spaced for a commercial CG We are state park campers but this place is impressive, 482 sites are finished and there are 2 more phases still under construction with several hundred more sites. The place was over 90% full this weekend, I am no fan of Sun Properties overall but this location is going to be a big winner for them. There is active construction going on for the additional sites with the associated noise and commotion but the only activity this past weekend was landscapers with sod and mulch going on. I don't see us ever coming back as we prefer the beachfront state parks in the area, but we would if the grands were involved. I have no connection with Sun, just my opinion. Almost forgot, they have a shuttle to their own oceanfront beach club with it's own pool.

RE: Campground Maximum Length

State park systems are hit or miss on lengths. Some will say all sites are 30 feet, other states actually go measure the sites. What a concept! If in doubt about accuracy I call them. The rangers know which ones are 60 feet when the web says that they are 30 feet,

RE: Dang...how'd that get there

I never noticed it before but it appears the driver knew that he couldn't go under but forgot the 5er was wider than the truck. Look how far away he is from the ATM machine when the corner of the 5er catches the overhang,

RE: Newby Chaparral help

For the landing gear manual attachment check the road side propane tank compartment in the front upper corner. If not there look at the top of the road side upright and follow it from there. Did you get the proper tool when you picked up the RV?

RE: Nascar Follies

Ok men if you wanted racing yesterday was it. Between the roval and the elimination factor the drama never stopped. Not to mention that Elliot boy. I know it was very hot in those cars during the red flag but Kyle Busch was the only one that bailed. He looked like my 4 yo grandson as he stood there pouting as they kept the camera on him for what I supposed was the mandatory interview time.

RE: Campground in Wilmington NC

I just googled the Family Campground mentioned above. I cam't imagine any business having the pics that they have on their website allowing those pics to remain on their website. If that's the good ones I can only imagine the ones they deleted. I guess that they are holding out for the big condo money. We've been to Carolina/Kure beach a couple of times but always in a rental house for the giant whole fam damily summer get together. It's impossible to get in the state park with their 9 FHO sites.

RE: Workhorse 8.1 GM exhaust gasket replacement

A local welding shop may be your best bet and there are some that will come to you. They cut, fabricate, and weld and will have the proper cutting tips for their equipment to remove your manifold.

RE: Any old Dodge mechanics online here

The spindle and ball joints may be different as well and may not allow the single wheel hub and rotor to be mounted. Keep looking for the right parts, they are out there somewhere.

RE: Broken leaf spring

The axle is centered by the spring. You could cause a lot more damage than you want to pay to fix if everything doesn't go perfectly. Where is the spring broken, middle or an one of the eye bolts?

RE: Nascar Follies

Let's not let him forget that at one time HE was a rolling roadblock. Every driver on the track has to negotiate the slower cars, not just KyB. Regardless of his crybaby ways he is still the best driver on the circuit today and is likely to stay there for quite a few more years. He gets even better when he gets POd. As a side note maybe Ford or Chevy could step up their engineering commitment to match Toyota's. Only Toyota seems to remember that what wins on Sunday sells on Monday. For one 4 car team to win 15 of 28 races so far is a strong statement.

RE: Estimated generator price

Our dual air fiver no longers served our Yamaha EF2800I. Had no bites at $750, finally sold it at $600. No scratches, a cover, and less than 100 hours. I can't see a 2000 bringing that much. With the economy booming, used stuff is getting harder and harder to sell. Internet scams aren't helping. People just don't want to deal with CL and other forums.

RE: South Dakota Advice

Stop at Wall Drug in Wall SD. I have never seen so many billboards for a business in my life so you can't miss it. It's more than just a drug store. You must have missed Rock City then. Wall drug is worth a stop, you can get a Buffalo Burger and meet the waitresses from Lithuania More than Pedro?

Depending on usage over the years you may have a worn or broken leaf spring on that side.
