RE: Pipes Make Growling/Farting Noise At Start of Toilet Flush
Beats the c r a p out of me.
Seriously though I would think a restricted water line is the culprit or the roof vent for the blank tank may be blocked or partially blocked.
Normally the sound you refer to would indicate a full black tank but the slow fill/flush makes me wonder.
RE: Dual hitch adapter.. De-rating when extending hitch.
"Run along now dog.." I'm still laughing. I've blocked said Dog so many times but I guess I'm addicted and unblock him after a day or two.
He or she is a cranky old soul but says what others are thinking and as such is a valuable member on this forum.
RE: Anyone tried double towing in BC Canada?
If Canada's road enforcement is as strict as their border enforcement I wouldn't try it.
Maybe we could learn from that in the US.
RE: Air Deflector Van + Cargo Trailer Fuel Improvement
A lower to the ground front deflector on the tow vehicle will do the most good.
Newer Rams have the front deflector set up to lower 3 inches at speed.
TFL has tested trucks with a tonneau and without for good provable improvements.
I can see where the deflector that far back should do some good but hard to measure/prove. Side winds can play havoc with MPGs.
On our previous dually/fiver Cummins running at 65 rather than 70 we picked up 9/10s of a gallon.
I haven't played with the new van/TT for mpg as we have only done 150 mile or so trips so far.
RE: Question on parking lot or walmart camping
The advantage to hydraulic slides is that you can deploy/retract all at the same time or one.
Open the outer door to the system. Likely you will see a label identifying which cylinder controls which slide. My former fiver had a thumbwheel on each valve. All the valves will be open for all slide operation, but you can turn the thumbwheel for each slide to disable one slide at a time.
Only allow the slides you want to function to hang over a curb but keep the lot side in.
RE: Running in Parralel / Generators
Different brands and power can parallel as long as they have the ports. There are some vids out there where parallel can happen even without the ports.
Don't believe me? Do your research.
RE: Open Title Purchase
Some states require notarized signatures for title transfers. NC where I live is one of those states. It's a royal PITA when selling something to another NC resident when NCDMV is closed, but if the buyer is out of state Micky Mouse can be the buyer.
I would still balk in this case until the title is in the sellers name.
RE: Using the "Quote" feature
The 5 long paragraph quotes right after the original annoy me as well.
The slow death of this forum should have a lot of extra bandwidth available however.
I read it every day but it isn't what it used to be. Sadly.
RE: Towing an EMPTY tow dolly behind a Fifth Wheel east coast.
I wouldn't try it. The old saying of when seconds count help is only minutes away is reversed in the OP's situation.
They're usually right there when we're doing something wrong. The VA State Troopers are all over I95 and I85.
Can the tow dolly be dismantled and put in the bed of the truck?
RE: Mexwanderer
Remember folks, he's in Mexico except for occasional trips to the US for health reasons or equipment. That probably compounds the frustrations.
RE: When impatience hurts!
Anyone that thinks the big rig driver should have done something needs to reconsider.
Do you want a 80K pound load running across the median and killing himself and oncoming innocents?
The truck driver was correct in maintaining his lane or it would have been much worse.
