RE: 45ft, would I be too limited?

I've found that when a state or local park has all of the sites the same length somebody just got lazy setting up the website. Call the park, the staff knows which sites are longer.X-2, while 45 is quite long, i've found that mostFed parks list a size limit, but are talking about the RV alone, https://images54.fotki.com/v1642/photos/7/1474187/14481929/IMG_20170924_135940583-vi.jpg height=450 width=600 this site is listed for a 32 ft vehicle, but as you can see, my MH is 30' plus DW's car plus room enough for another car.

RE: Adding extra batteries - where do I put them?

JMO, I'd not want to deal with a huge battery bank, for just an occasional boondock. I'd rather buy a light wt 2K gen, that can easily handle the charging needs. I have a Champ 2K 100565 for my seldom no electric campouts. Works great for all but AC. JerryI'd lean towards MFL's suggestion of a small 2k, but first, if you have group 24 or 27s, i'd go bigger with group 31s. (IF they'll fit in your battery box).

RE: 45ft, would I be too limited?

Length related, interior park roads may be more limiting than site length. Depends greatly on where you like to camp, National and State Forests and parks generally have shorter sites with narrower roads with lower over hanging limbs.

RE: Does Anyone See A Need For a Portable Generator?

If you have an onboard generator that is working as it should, I don't see a need for an additional portable generator.X-2

RE: Medicare

I guess the car shortage has ruined the extended warranty con. For now. You wouldn't know it listening to my phone, I get 3 or 4 calls a day letting me know that my warranty is about to expire, on a vehicle that's been out of warranty for 3 years now.

RE: A tale of two trailers, or prices are thru the roof.

"Have you priced lumber, steel and other materials lately?" Yes, and that's exactly why the Amish are selling Rough Cut lumber as fast as they can cut & mill it, at a very fair price.

RE: Electric Smoker for Long Term

I'm Very happy with my Pit Boss Pro Series that my Grandson gave me for Christmas last year. But you are certainly NOT going to carry it around in an RV, (Unless you have a toy hauler).

RE: Masterbuilt or Char Broil

I have a small Master Built, I asked a friend of my sons if I could borrow it, when he dropped it off I asked where he wanted it returned to, he said, don't worry about it, Keep it, as he'd bought a new bigger one. I used it to smoke 3 boston butts, worked very well, digital display & controls.

RE: Rear view camera

That combination may not be legal in many states... need to check that out, first. Rob Sounds like OP has already done his homework as far as that's concerned.

RE: An Australian Class C liked by Lazydays

Without digging into the technical aspects, I'll say even though it does look like a Class A, I like it and I could even get used to the left side entry, but at my age the RHD is out of the question, I'd have it wrecked the first day and endanger everyone else on the road. I guess you can't teach every old dog new tricks.

RE: TV wall bracket question

I think before I chanced all the problems mentioned above, I would go with what Sandia Man mentioned, Just set it on an outside table, like we used to do also, but as he said, we no longer watch TV outside, if we're outside, we're usually doing something else.

RE: Help understand what's going on with emails

I report them as spam, I don't open any emails that I don't know the sender. Just like I don't answer calls on my house phone, if I don't recognize the caller, especially the ones that come up as "Unknown", or "Unavailable", if they're unavailable, so am I.

RE: abbreviation lookup or glossary

Try this: https://rv.campingworld.com/rv-glossaryMost of those are the explanation Not the abbreviation, Like it lists Full Hookup, but the abbreviation is FHU, and while I realize that I've not been at this for 50 years, I've Never heard of a fold down dinette referred to as a GAUCHO :h.

RE: The used RV market is getting nuts...

About every month, I get a letter from the three Ford dealers in the area, of which only one I use for service, wanting to buy my '14 Focus, or my '12 Fusion Hybrid, which I instantly throw in the trash as i'm not interested in buy a new car at an over inflated price.

Did a moderator send you a PM explaining why? They've never explained any I've had deleted, even when I never seen an obvious reason to be deleted.

RE: level on level ground and towing

Most roads are "crowned", especially non-interstates, plus with rocking, swaying and bouncing you're not likely to be perfectly level while traveling. Plus 1 inch is Not a whole lot off. Over the years, I've probably had not more perfectly level sites than I can count on one hand, I do try to get close.
