RE: Hot water trickle

When using on board water supply, turn on hot water, does pump turn on?

RE: How to get a loan for RV

This is strange! Buy your 5 acres, set up utilities, and get a single wide or double wide delivered and put money into YOUR equity. You don't need an engine to park it and a B is a van while a C is a bigger van. Neither of those would be a good place to raise a 10 year old.

RE: Extended tow bar

Leave the tailgate at home as long as it isn’t needed for golf cart wheels.

RE: Surge Guard - Need Vs. Cost

What about low voltage, do these surge protectors work for that also?

Did you just reset the thermostat or was it bad?

RE: Dometic toilet problem

That’s the plan. Or pay 264 for the 320.

RE: Dometic toilet problem

Yes, he did just exactly that a few months ago and it was fine. He made sure there was water in the bowl to help the seal. This is a different issue with waste going around a seal. I haven’t seen the toilet but it sounds like it is a two piece one and the upper seal is not working.

Dometic toilet problem

My son has a 2018 travel trailer with a Dometic model 300 toilet and it stinks. He has tried everything with the vent and made sure there is water in the bowl but nothing seems to help. Last night he removed the toilet and noticed there was a buildup of stuff around some seals. He cleaned it up and put some silicon around what he said was to different sections. He is camping this weekend so I did a quick search and that there is a known problem with the model 300 and I found one post that indicated a possible recall. I see they make a model 310 and a 320 with a porcelain bowl. He will call Dometic next week and see what they say. Anyone else know anything about these stinking toilets?

RE: Here she is - our new to us 5th wheel

Ahh, I see it now that I enlarged the picture. It didn’t appear to have an arm on the left but the slide is hiding it. Thanks

RE: Here she is - our new to us 5th wheel

The awning over the door looks interesting . It appears to extend over the slide a bit. Can you post a picture of it extended?

RE: The Horrible RV Magazine

Also, do not remove the chains until off the ball.

RE: 3rd Issue of RV Magazine

From all the threads and posts, probably should ask if anyone likes the magazine!

RE: Air Bag Pressure

I added air bags to a 2500HD when I got a lance camper. The specs say it was 2500 pounds so I would put 50 psi in them. I seem to remember the spec sheet said 1 psi for every 50 pounds. Now I have a small TT and I use 20 to keep it level. I quit using the load leveler bars as they are a pain. No problems so far and it has worked for 10 years.

RE: Towing

In calif, you can tow a trailer behind a fifth wheelI as it is an extension of the truck. I think you need a class a license. I did see a guy doing the same as you saw and I figured he would not get far but I noticed his Texas plates and figured he is lucky.

RE: How to get an RV up a steep drive way

My son has similar issues and we took two 12x2x6’s and put a piece of 4x4 in the middle to smother the incline. He stores them on the side of the house but only brings the trailer home for loading an unloading before and after a trip. Permanent storage is at his brothers house as ccr’s don’t like rv’s in driveways.

RE: Soot on Dinghy

I have seen plexiglas panels on the tow bar and mounted to the front bumper. A piece of Masonite cut to size would be a cheap and possible fix. The vacuum behind the tow vehicle maybe pull the soot into the front of your GC. Cummins sure do belch a lot out when you punch it.
