RE: Front brakes

On my 2007 GMC 3500HD dually at 175,000 miles one rear pad was down to metal so I replaced one rotor and all the pads. The front pads had over 50% of the original pad left. As for temperature they all feel warm.

RE: Installing a new propane detector

I have had my trailer long enough the I just replaced the propane detector for the second time. The first time it was easy to get the same detector. the second time I could not get the same one. I had to get a horizontal detector, so I made a new wall plate to fill hole and mount the new detector.

RE: towing with gm 6.6 gas

The 6.6 gas has 464 lb.-ft. of torque. The diesel has 910 lb.-ft. of torque. It's your choice.

RE: Do I need the ground lug to connect my new charger converter

You have to drill a hole in your garage floor and drive an 8-foot grounding rod down into the ground. Just kidding, you will be fine without the extra ground wire.

RE: Rice Ranch RV, Quartzsite

When you arrive in Quartzsite on January 21st expect a lot of traffic, no cell service during the day and very limited food in the store. Have fun and stay safe. As for the RV park I have not been there.

RE: Tandem axle vs single

If a tire blows out on a tandem axle trailer you will still be on the side of the road fixing it, but the trailer will still be upright.

RE: Simplest battery monitor and shunt? Advice for non-expert

I also like simple so I bought the Aili battery monitor. It is only $44. There are a couple options to buy a longer wire so measure before you buy.

RE: Setting up Solar on my Moho

How much does your Tiffin weigh? I don't think that the savings will matter. I would stay away from the flex panels and install 5 or 6 200 watt panels, or 3 350 watt panels. I would stay with a 12 volt system.

RE: Gas Engine - Fill It Up

I always use regular gas stations to fill up our diesel truck with 5th wheel. I only think of 3 times in the last 11 years that I had to back out after filling up.

RE: Using my Class A in freezing weather?

We have dry camped with the temp down to 19 degrees in our 5th wheel with no problems.

RE: range hood exhaust fan?

I installed a 6" computer fan and it is very quiet now. Make sure that the one you get is 12 volts.

RE: Las vegas

We always camp at Lake Mead but I think it's a 14 day limit and it's dry camping.

RE: Generator to run three RV's?

Before you buy property be sure to check the local codes to see if you can have one or more RV's on the property. As for the generators I would have one for each RV.

RE: Calling weight police - help

I would recommend getting the dually with the 8' bed. The dually will give you a more stable ride and you won't have to worry about the weight after you add the extra fuel tank.

RE: Bed cover for F350 with fifth wheel hitch

I would recommend not using a bed cover.

RE: 45ft, would I be too limited?

You will love pulling a 5th wheel over a bumper pull trailer. I would think you would have very limited options at National Parks.

RE: Best truck for large 5th Wheel

I think that you will be fine with the F350. You did not say if you are getting the dually but I would recommend that you do get a dually. I would also get the 8' bed.

RE: Win 10 remove weather shortcut from taskbar ????

My laptop just updated this morning to Windows 11. Now my weather icon is missing, I did try the right click on the task bar but I don't see the weather icon.

RE: What's the best deep cycle AGM battery for 2021?

I have used both AGM and FLA batteries. I only get 3 or 4 years of service life out of AGM batteries. I 7 years out of flooded lead acid batteries. As for brand I like Interstate and Trojan.
