RE: Water left in Suburban water heater - UPDATE!

I drain and flush mine all the time and replace the anode rod twice a year. Does not take a lot of time to make sure the water is good. Have had a Suburban water heater in all the rigs I have had and never had a problem with any of them. Maintenance is so easy to do and no excuse not to do the keep it clean.

RE: KEYSTONE, Cougar front LED decor lights

You can go to Amazon and fins the right size light strip in any color you want. I replaced ours, They are usually put on with a sticky tape and a dab of silicone at the ends. Vey easy to do. Mine were 14 inches long and took about an hour to do.

RE: Champion generator

My 2KChampion has worked perfect for the last 2 years....starts everytime on the first pull and runs quiet. Bought mine on sale for 300 bucks and never looked back. This has worked great for and have never looked back.

RE: paint shower pan

I used Krylon spray paint for plastic/fiberglas in a whole shower that had turned yellow over the years in a older Montana 5th wheel. Used a laquar thinner to clean it and spray painted it. Turned out great and after 3 years it still looked good.

Have a 2018 Keystone Montana HC with a 12 gallon water heater. Few weeks ago noticed water dripping from the bottom of the kitchen slide.Checked inside by the water heater and found water on the sub-floor. Water drips from the low point drains.....but not the drains.....drips from under the furnace......when the faucet water is on but also when we use the fresh water tank. Still waiting word from the extended warranty people to ok the rv tech to find the problem. Cannot find a bad hose or a leak in the Subrban tank itself. Am lost!!!

RE: Suburban Water Heater electric heating element question

the inside switch on a Suburban is for gas only. The 15 amp breaker must be on for electric. leave the gas switch OFF. Atwoods have an inside electric switch. Suburbans do not. If you wish you can run both together for faster recovery. i use mine on gas only. A lot of water heaters have 2 switches inside.....one for gas and one for electric plus the little rocker switch on the water heater for electric.

RE: The latest on Oregon State Parks

It is ok to wait for the right time to open up everything. We are in an Oregon State Park currently doing maintenance right now....mowing/blowing and cleaning up brush. Had some people try to drive in the park(which is blocked off and closed signs everywhere...(they drove down from Washington) when they could not get in......they went up the road and parked then walked back down and into the park. Told them the park was closed and they said all they wanted to do was look at the site they were going to be camping in for August. I asked them what site they reserved and they had no idea!!!

RE: Wanting to upgrade truck tires. Need advice.

I just put a set of the Cooper AT3 XLT's on mine the same size and they are load range E...they were $810 for the set installed and have a $70 rebate but I think that ends very soon...have a 60k warranty, quiet as can be, and have the snowflake symbol on them also, and look pretty dang cool too! Oh and made in the USA Same tires on mine...….LT275/65/R20.....not one problem with them at all.

RE: Slider hitch - How to Question

Not one problem with my Superglide in 3 years. I make sure it is clean and use WD-40 like they recommend.........slides so easy and hooks up and unhooks perfectly!

RE: 110 outlets

Do not use a generator...found the park power box with the 50 amp outlet was loose which allowed the the power cord to back out....and not stay connected right. Repaired the power box and now have correct 50 amp power once more!!

RE: 110 outlets

Thought a GFI to start with. Onle one we have is in the bathroom...all other outlets are kinda like daisy-changed to the one and only GFI. And no power at the first2 double beakers in the panel. Have checked all connections so far. All worked in the morning before we left one rv park and got to another one and then the problem appeared. Guess I should pull every outlet and check the wires since the GFI will not reset. The GFI needs to have power to it, in order to be able to be reset it. Yes it does and my power worked for 2 days and now the same problem with the GFI again....no power to the front of the 5th wheel!! \

RE: 110 outlets

Had checked everything.......and could not a problem. Then....yesterday morning saw the little light on the GFI was lit....1st time in 3 day!! Tested the GFI and was able to reset it. Went around the 5ver and found the out The Theylets that did not work....now they do!! The 2 breakers that did not work now had power again. Only think that I could think of was maybe water in the outside 110 outlet and once it dried out.....everything worked. One rv repair guy said on his trailer...same thing had happened to him. Took the outlet apart...dried it off and it worked for him. It had just poured rain hard as we moved from one park to another and then found out that then I had a problem. It is a 2018 Montana and never even thought about the outside receptical. Will see if I can seal any better than what is is. But as of now, everything is working like it should be.
