RE: A Very Touching Movie

The Courier Benedict Cumberbatch, Merab Ninidze and Rachel Brosnahan star in this true-life Cold War spy thriller about British businessman Greville Wynne, who must form an alliance with a Soviet spy to prevent a nuclear confrontation.

RE: Battery Question

Hi, I have a bunch of questions about batteries, invertors, charging, solar panels, etc. So I'll start off with batteries... I am sure others will chime in but below is good info... it gets in the weeds but might help in some aspects of what you are seeking. It is a great resource. Perhaps you might find it useful: The 12volt Side of Life (Part 1). The 12 volt Side of Life Part 2.

RE: 18" tire question - ANOTHER UPDATE

Wow... didn't realize there is a back log on these items too! I got tires late this spring from TR with no issues, but that was for an automobile.

RE: "Use Both Lanes Until Merge Point"

I think we are splitting and delving onto different scenarios... My OP was about the situation in which there are signs posted that vehicles are to use two lanes right up to the merge point in a slow speed situation. It is for road construction in a small mountain town. Speeds are in the 15-25 MPH range. The intent is to stack both lanes so as to not block an intersection as well as to not block, ironically, a round a-bout on the opposite side of construction on the same road. Folks who play cop and block other vehicles in this situation are ignorant, rude and rectally-hurt that cars are passing them when they, had they chosen the other lane, could have been a half-dozen cars ahead. Other situations that this topic has swerved into is a lane ending on an interstate, highway or more open type route. It may be because of construction or simply where a lane ends because the extra width is not needed. It is where signs inform drivers, that may be traveling at higher speeds (60-70 MPH), that a lane is ending and that at the soonest opportunity they should steer into the through lane. Folks who do not merge into the travel lane and speed past the other drivers who heeded the signs in that latter described situation are rude, ignorant and think they are more important than the other saps who are patently waiting in line (should there in fact be a line.) These AW's are ones who can potentially do more harm because of the speeds involved. The bottom line is to follow the signs.

RE: One more baseball question.....

I kinda' recall back in the late 70's that George Steinbrenner moved/ directed the outfield fence/ wall of the newly renovated Yankee Stadium to make a smaller outfield so that the Jacksons, Munsons, Nettles, Murcurs, et.al. could hit more home runs.

RE: "Use Both Lanes Until Merge Point"

No. It's not about "They need to be first all the time." The situation as described is about stacking two lanes to avoid backups into the intersection. The issue is B-hurt drivers who feel the need to interrupt (block) traffic flow because other operators pass them to fill up both lanes so as to NOT block an intersection.

RE: "Use Both Lanes Until Merge Point"

This is the exact situation as indicted below with synopsis overlaid on a GE snip: Two lanes of travel from the north is metered by virtue of other signal lights (not shown on this diagram.) At high volume times ,predominantly morning and noon, traffic IF in a single lane WILL back up through and into the intersection shown. When driver's observe the "Use Both Lanes" directive, then two lanes will stack with vehicles and will not block the intersection. The traffic signal shown will stop oncoming traffic to allow the double stack to proceed though the construction zone. If one AW decides to interrupt the two-lane stacking/ zippering, then the resultant single lane will back up through the intersection. As member Valhalla mentioned, Traffic Engineers have this figured out as long as folks observe the directives! https://i.imgur.com/w551ArOl.jpg

"Use Both Lanes Until Merge Point"

You've seen it. Road construction with a lane closed and traffic needs to merge from two lanes into one. Construction companies are now posting signs for traffic to "Use Both Lanes" up to the merge point where there is another sign stating "Merge Here" ... ...yet there are still AW's who get glutious maximus hurt when folks pass them in the clear open lane. These AW's are the ones who, by choice, will line up in the thru lane while an open one is clear of any vehicles right up to the "Merge Here" sign. Fine, that is their choice to stage. Don't get PO'd at those who heed the traffic signs. Such was the case this morning when there was traffic backed up in ONE lane as I passed proceeding up to the merge point when a person did not care for what the traffic signs were instructing. He pulls out diagonally blocking me in my open lane(I almost hit him and the person behind me had to suddenly stop too!) This was at slow speeds... 25 MHP-ish. Road construction companies are now more often posting these signs for better traffic control to move vehicle more efficiently, especially through intersection that might be before the actual work zone. Why do those who choose to stage in the thru lane feel so BH that they need to play traffic cop?

RE: How to Replace Cabover Window on 2013 Palomino Maverick 2902

Welcome aboard... bummer! I was in the same spot as you a few years back. You are correct, Dometic windows are not intended to be unlatched while driving. I had to replace the large one over the dinette because I left it cracked open when I forgot top shut it. I am not a fan of this type of window... you can read my critique HERE. I got mine form the factory, have you tried calling Palomino to get one? Perhaps you might try Five Star RV. They are located just north of Denver and have an RV salvage yard. Post a picture when you get a chance. This site is kinda' wonky to add images. Use THIS LINK to create a string to upload photos.
