RE: San Luis SP boondocking (CO)

San Luis Lakes used to be a state park and has a large campground with 51 sites. Since it is designated a wildlife area all you need is a $43 annual permit and you can camp up to 14 days. CPW pass required to stay here - available by mail or at a Forest Office I bought mine in Fort Garland from a place that sold hunting licenses. Update: July 1, 2020 valid hunting or fishing license required to access any State Wildlife Area

RE: Corona Camping

I found last week you need to personally check each campground. One was filled because every other site was closed and the other was open but only for monthly and long term. They were both county campgrounds.

RE: What's Opened?

I have read that rural areas don't have the medical resources to take care of outsiders who might contract the virus, so that is why they are closing campgrounds. Thats the reason a county commissioner gave for shutting down Brewster County Texas and Big Bend National Park.

hydraulic cylinders

My trailer has a large hydraulic cylinder used to raise and lower front of trailer. I was wondering if I should take the pressure off of it when in storage.

RE: Question for those out on the road now

A visit to any coast does not sound like a good idea right now. Just heard that things are really slowing down in the Big Bend of Texas.

Question for those out on the road now

Thinking about doing some traveling. I usually avoid spring break time. Are those of you out on the road seeing a lot of college age folks. Particularly interested to hear from those of you in northern New Mexico, Big Bend or coast of Texas.
