? Heat & Air on Ford Chassis?

Does Ford motor provide enough heat/air for comfort or do you have to run the RV heat/air for comfort?

? Loaded Dinghy Ques

What's wrong with towing a loaded dinghy? Saw a photo of a towed dinghy with a couple of canoes or kayaks on the roof with the "Do Not" circle and slash superimposed. Probably saw it on Pinterest, but couldn't open or enter whatever the site was for an explanation. Got me to wondering what would be verboten about us dolly-towing our dinghy with our kayaks on top. ?

RE: ? Instant Pot Questions

Thanks, all, appreciate the comments. Will pass on to DW. Whatever she wants, don't matter to me. PS--WanderingBob...think you're wandering a bit too far.

? Instant Pot Questions

Your opinion which is "best": The Original Instant Pot or one of the other-brand knock offs? For the two of us, is the 3qt 'plenty big enough' or do we 'really want' the 6qt?

RE: ? Pot & Pan Set w/Covers

Thanks All! DW says she'll try the Michelangelo set, likes that there's a cover for everything but the small fry pan and likes the non-teflon noin-stick surface.

? Opinion/Thoughts - Dolly or Flatbed Trailer for Dinghy

Solicitation for opinions and thoughts about pros and cons of towing the FWD dinghy on a dolly or flatbed trailer. Either way, tongue and tow weights are well within RV capability. Opinions and thoughts about flat towing are irrelevant.

? Scouring Powders/Cleansers & RV Septic System

What effect, if any, does scouring powder/cleanser have on RV septic systems? I'm thinking there's no effect on the pipes or holding tanks, but that gritty stuff could well effect an RV's holding tank valves. Lunch time discussion brought to mind the way my mother used scouring powder (and boy did she ever use the stuff!) which got me to wondering about its effect on RV septic system valves.

RE: ? Winnebago Surprise & Question

Vista LX 35F. Per lunchtime call to Winnebago this and many of their other models do not come with a CD-DVD-Bluray player, and it isn't Winnebago optional equipment. Instead, the RV is wired for cell/tablet streaming and comes with several adapters for different makes of phone/tablet/whatever. Addendum to my original misleading post. The media center doesn't have a gaping hole where the DVD player would go, there are two punch-out plates, one for audio-video other for satellite. Dealer carries three different brands DVD-Bluray and would give me one but they're all too big to fit in the media center 'hole'.

? Winnebago Surprise & Question

What CD-DVD-Bluray player(s) fit in the Winnebago "media center"? DW & I got a big surprise viewing Winnebago coaches over the weekend: there's no CD-DVD-Bluray player inside, and the inside TVs don't have a slot to accept disks (the outside TV does!). There is a hole in the "media center" for a player, but apparently it's entirely up to the buyer what to have installed, there's no recommendation from Winnebago.

? Pot & Pan Set w/Covers

Recommendations? Looking to get DW set of non stick (NOT teflon!) pots & pans. Something like the orange (ceramic?) she has in house & loves. Must have cover for each pot/pan. Interchangeable okay. So far haven't seen what I think she'd like at box stores or amazon.

There'd be more no thanks torn off if it was an accordion.

? Class-A Gas Climbing MPH

What's the real gas class-A hill climbing MPH? Talking to couple old timers while wandering around RV show, one commented and other agreed that a gas Class-A slows down to about 5mph climbing our Western Mountains. I've had occasion to follow some on prior trips and can't recall ever being slowed down anywhere near single digit MPH.

? Solution for Mud Daubers In/On A/C?

Is there a solution to keep mud daubers out of air conditioning units when the RV is being used? You can cover them up when in storage but what about at the lake or wherever? Checked with the local dealership and they don't know of a solution (other than keeping the A/C covered up tight).

? Shelf/Drawer Liner for Shower Mat?

Anyone use cut-to-size shelf/drawer liner for their shower mat? Our shower floor is so "rough" suction cups can't stick. Thinking the looks-like-mesh non-slip shelf liner would make a good shower mat. It's soft, very much non-slip, and could easily be thrown in the washing machine.

RE: "driving" in the left lane. YES it's illegal.

Posted this someplace before, forget where. Our oldest is - correction, was - a habitual left lane 10mph below posted limit driver. $280 ticket several months ago cured that habit. Oklahoma on I-44 on way to Tulsa.

? 3 Purchasing Questions

Dealer tells us all discounts and rebates are applied to the price. How can I tell that's a true statement? Is there any way to verify I'm getting every penny of every discount and rebate (assuming there are any and dealer not blowing smoke)? Is it better - is there any difference? - to buy at a show or at the dealership location. We already know what we want, so this won't be an impulse purchase at a show. Unless we get a price we can't refuse. Do dealers tack on additional fees (dealer prep, paperwork filing, etc) above and beyond the agreed purchase price? Our last truck purchase we walked away from the first two agreements because of this...nothing but pure profit in the dealer's pocket.

Pay for RV Show?

Is paying to get into an RV show a common thing now? Been several years since we've even thought about going to an RV show. Thought we'd go to the trailer-oriented show up in OKC mid-February. The couple years before we got our RV (09) we went to several shows and only remember having to pay for one of them (think it was Ft Worth). What I find especially "interesting" in having to pay is that this OKC show is a few local dealers only (plus all the flea market type vendors that always show up at any show).

RE: Need Copy/Download Help for Long Thread

THANK YOU Moderator, whoever you are! Adding "/print/true" in the right place within the URL does the trick. Downloads as a table, easily converted to Word or Adobe. That's quite the file. The raw download, all in a single table, when converted to Word was a nominal 967 pages!
