RE: Help with water problem

***UPDATE so this is where I am at...I removed the old facet myself but had to get a guy to come and loosen one bolt to do so...bought a new faucet got it home and realized the fitting didnt work wrong size took it back returned it tried to find another with the long hoses to replace it the same way...ended up rebuying the same one I just returned...a man in the aisle said he was a plumber helped me find some brass fitting adapters that would make it work. In the middle of all of this my great nephew was in a horrible car accident two days before thanksgiving, the day before after he was determined brain dead and my nieces family had to make a decision... in the following two days my others nieces husband came and helped me with the faucet which when I got it all together was leaking... it seemed he had got it fixed but over night it leaked more he came again and tighten it up more more teflon tape. That was two days ago. In the meantime my family is in shock loosing this young man 18 so unexpected and senseless. He was hit from behind at high speed. after the second fix the pipes are now leaking in a different place. The wake was last night and funeral today. I talked to my nieces husband that had helped he didn't seem real excited to come and help again...it is leaking I have pan under catching water. It has been a rough few days and right now I cannot even concentrate or deal with it... Once I get a second wind i will attempt to do something not sure what and will update again.... thanks all Deb :h :? :(

Help with water problem

Hi all...ok again can not figure this one out...I am in a camp ground parked for 3 yrs. I am hooked up to the water here I have been having a problem for a few months now. I barley have any water coming through the kitchen as of today it is literally a single drip. Water in bath and shower are full pressure/flow. I have checked numerous times is there a leak. Not one that I can see. I do not know how to follow the line as it winds under the styrafoam thing that holds hot water. the thing is it has been sparatic until yesterday...meaning sometimes it would be more flow pressure more than a trickle. It seemed to be at different times of the day. So if there is something clogging the line why would that be?. I have taken off the cap screen etc in kitchen faucet cleaned that all that is not it. We do have horrible water here. But again why would it only be sometimes and not at others? I do not have a compressor nor do I know how to blow out the lines...If I had a compressor or help to do so how would I blow out just the kitchen line is that what I need to do? My lines are all the white flexible rubber type. this is also on both hot and cold I just don't get it can someone give me anything to try??? Ideas what the hell is going on here?

RE: Air Conditioner leaking inside...questions

ok after following that link which I did not see until after my first reply...it says to remove that evaporator cover which I was tempted to do each time but was afraid of shock...so I may get up there again. it has a warning on unit that even if turned off you can still be shocked...I assume unplugging the whole RV from elec would avoid this from happening...it is a bit difficult doing this with only one person as it might be helpful to have it turned on once the shroud is off and evaporator cover off to see where the water is coming out...I do not want to have it running while I take the shroud off...hum challenging!;) oh yes and it has nothing to do with the rain

RE: Air Conditioner leaking inside...questions

Hi all, well I have done everything short of calling the RV place to come out. I have been on roof several times cleaned it out and think I got the drain holes cleared. It is still leaking in the liv room but now is mostly just when I turn it off...it is just weird I have checked the bolts so I just do not know...thanks everyone for your help!

RE: Air Conditioner leaking inside...questions

Hi...thanks for info the bolts were the first thing I checked they did not seem to be loose at all they AC in liv room anyway. I just checked by fingers. I do not know how they could come loose or tighten as I have been sitting in the same spot for 3 yrs.:? I will check in bdrm this morning. When neighbor got on top and cleaned out for second time looking to see if he could find where drain hole was or where water comes from he was scrapping out under the cover also and if that is where the gasket is he probably destroyed anything that was left it was grey crumbly? I managed to get on top of roof after as someone else had mentioned the weep hole in drain pan could be clogged although I could not see that as it is probably inside that elec. housing and I was not going to mess with that and it wasn't disconnected from elec. I will look on you tube also and lookup the gasket so I know WTH I am looking for...

Air Conditioner leaking inside...questions

Hi all I have a 2011 Jayco Eagle RTLS my air conditionaer is leaking inside the RV. I have had it cleaned out on top twice so that is not the problem. thye RV place says well it could be the gasket and that is not covered on extended warranty so of course it will be a service call (I am not able to take it in) then cost of the gasket $40. then labor $121. per hr that is if it is the gasket...I have asked several times well where is the gasket because I do not see any gasket... Question isn't the gasket between the cover on the top or where unit attaches to the top and the roof? So at first it was just the AC in liv room today I discover now the AC in bedroom above bed has been leaking I believe just today as the mattress is we,t sheet, comforter. Has anyone here ever replaced a gasket on one of these things? I was on the roof myself I am single woman on my own out here trying to do this stuff myself...I took pic of model number etc I will call the RV place again tomorrow but if this is something I could buy gasket and replace myself I would rather.... any help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks in advance... Deb
