RE: Can I submit my own warranty claim?

Most companies will not quibble over a few days. However, if the issue has not been documented by a service company within a reasonable time it will be iffy. Somebody just telling them they have a problem usually won't get you very far. It never hurts to call anyway.

RE: Do I need my WD bars just to move in the driveway?

If your only moving it around to position there should be no need

RE: 87 percent file transfer

One Launch is not a Microsoft product. It is an add-on app which many consider ad-ware or at least bloat ware. If you do not want it then go to start.. settings... apps and delete. If you turned on sync in Google this could be files being transferred to the cloud. You can turn off sync in the Chrome settings page.

RE: Did your dog influence your trailer purchase?

Simply because we have dogs, we wanted to stay with an trailer for all our trips and avoid hassles with pet friendly or boarding.

RE: Furion Glass Refrigerator shelves slide when traveling

Might try the bars they sell to put in front of the spaces and put it right in front of the shelf edge. One example: Refridge bar

Back on the road 2022 Rockwood 2109S

I had posted recently about stopping travel due to our pet's illness. We sold our Rockwood 2608BSD and F250 (which wasn't bad since we got what we paid for them 2 years ago and a little more). When our "Abby" passed we had every intention to stay home for awhile but the call of the road persisted. We lucked into a 2022 Mini-lite 2109S which fits our new travel needs and the dealer made an exceptional deal. The trailer has every option that Rockwood offers for the unit;so no reason for factory order and the build has so far shown no problems. We are now heading back to the open road. Love the solar and 12v fridge.:)

RE: Trekkers Alert: If you're a Star Trek fan...

We are scheduled to visit Neutral Zone Studios later this month. I am an original trek fan who watched the premier on television in Sept '66. I have since infected both wife and son with the TREK virus.

RE: Samsung Galaxy Phone...How to send photos?

If it's like other Androids, go to Pictures, put your finger on the one you want to send. At the bottom it should show "share" with a bunch of options like "message" press message, then go to your contacts and pick the one you want to receive it. You can add text and then send. Hit send. X2 The share icon looks like three circles connected by lines

RE: “Pathetic quality”: RV dealers are fed up...

There is no doubt that there are quality problems but I suspect the dealer complaints are “crocodile tears”. If they were really concerned , they could easily put pressure on the manufacturers to improve by using their association strength to press for it. They are making money and as one of the quotes in the article says “You take what you can get, and you move on.”, shows they are not serious on getting changes made. The dealers are well known in many situations to pass off problems as coming from the manufacturer. As long as there is money to be made and the dealers continue to turn a blind eye in telling the buyer of issues; nothing will change.

RE: Goodbye old friend, You will be missed

Thank you all for your kind responses. The hardest part is watching her "sister" constantly looking around for her. They used to have a ritual when going outside that one would go first and then wait for the other one to come out before continuing on.

RE: BUYING NEW RV OUT-OF-STATE -- ANY TAX PLUS OR MINUS???

The only place I can see that has the RV I want is just over the state line. I dont think they charge sales tax if you buy it out of state, but when I go to have it titled in my state, the DMV charges sales tax at that point. Is that a correct understanding? I dont think there is an advantage, but I do want to make double sure that I am not DOUBLE taxed. We have bought a few trailers out of state. You will have to pay state tax at some point. The dealers we have worked with all did things differently. One did not collect any tax and we paid when we got back( BEWARE in Texas there is a penalty if you take too long to get titled and pay the tax) Another dealer collected all the taxes (correct amounts) and sent in the paperwork for us, received title in a few weeks. Another one charged a small fee ( a token amount) to fill out the paper work and we took it with us when we left; paid the taxes when we got back. So, check with the dealer as to what their procedure is before you go and maybe bring the forms with you to fill out.

Goodbye old friend, You will be missed

We stopped camping the first of this year when our 19 year old dog,Abby, lost the ability to stand on her rear legs. We just could not leave her behind. We continued to assist her in walking and getting around. She ate well and could walk with assistance. Then earlier this summer she began sleeping 20 hours a day. We were hoping for a few more days but this month she lost the ability to even stand with assistance. It was the hardest thing to do but she was no longer really living; just existing. The vet agreed it was time and she is now running and playing at the rainbow bridge. Where we will meet again!

RE: Suggestions for a Weight Distribution Hitch

X2 on Bob213. I like the Equal-i-zer because of its simple design and no chains. Agreed. Easier to set-up and lighter to handle. Equalizer is the way to go. Use the pads and lube according to instructions = no noise

RE: 50 to 30 amp dog bone

The typical 50 to 30 dog-bone only uses one of the hot wires available in the 50 supply. It will be perfectly fine. I have taken apart some which had been damaged to put on new ends. They were all wired this way.

RE: Weigh safe trailer ball with built in scale. Any comments?

Hi folks. We are planning on buying a little tear drop trailer and pulling with a medium sized SUV. Talking to others with the combo we are looking at, the trailer when loaded is about at 90 percent of the allowable tongue weight of the SUV. We are considering this product to help us keep an eye on the tongue weight. Wondering if anyone has experience with this product. Thanks in advance. https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch-Ball/Weigh-Safe/WSUN-1.html I tried the Weigh safe against the Sherline. The Weigh Safe never returned the same reading on each try. The Sherline was right on the money every time.
