RE: Sacramento to San Diego

If you want a scenic route take 50 E to 89 SE to 395 S to I-15 or 99 S to Lodi then hwy 12 cut over to 88 E to 395 S to I-15. If taking one of the routes you said from Bakersfield on hwy 58 till it meets 395 at four corners and 395 to I-15.

RE: Reno, NV to Fresno, CA route help please

To avoide Reno traffic you could take exit 48 or 46 at Fernley and then Alt 95 S to hwy 50 West into Carson City then 395 to SR88 or a new hwy that connects with 50 to carson city at exit 32 then 439 to 50. We have taken SR 88 to avoide Reno and Sacramento in our motorhome pulling our toad.

RE: Reno, NV to Fresno, CA route help please

. My only preferences are I would like to avoid very heavy traffic if possible and Vegas type heat. Travel south from Reno on I580/US395 to Mindan/Garnderville about 45 miles and then take SR 88 to Stockton and then south on SR 99 to Fresno. You will not be disappointed taking SR 88. Lots of scenery. Not a lot of traffic. X 2

RE: 2017 Honda CR-V flat towable?

If FWD it can be towed on a dolly. If AWD it can only be towed on a trailer! So yes it can be towed, but not with all 4 wheels on the ground. All the answers about 2014 as the last year 4 down towable are correct, I have a AWD 2013 and it towes great.

RE: Smaller Drivers seat

When I looked at buying a RV with a slide either Class C or A, I would always have the slide put in before sitting in the drivers seat. If I wasn't able to get comfortable in the drivers seat I didn't look any fruther.

RE: Best 2 Wheel Drive Automatic Trans Trucks to Flat Tow

Bassically you need to find a 4x4 with a transfer case that can be shiffted into netural manually not electronic. Most Chev & GMC's still had this when Ford went electronic.

RE: Best 2 Wheel Drive Automatic Trans Trucks to Flat Tow

I also had a drive line disconnet on a 2wd pickup and had problems with it and would never do again. Since then every car, suv or pu we have owned has been towable 4 down without modifications. I have checked and the 2019 ford ranger 4x4 is towable 4 down w/at.

RE: Towing 2019 Chevy Colorado 4-Down

Run 12v from RV to a dedicated cig lighter style plug in for your brake buddy plus what SidecarFlip says. Or run 12v direct from battery to dedicated cig lighter plug-in that will not be effected when neg terminal is disconnected.

RE: Tires LT 225/75R16 load range E

I agree, the tires I just replaced were 7 to 10 years old. Not sure where the 5 year rule came from.

RE: Tires LT 225/75R16 load range E

You might want to check out Toyo Open Country H/T LT225/75R-16 10 Ply E. I have replaced tires on two Winnies now with these and very happy with them, I have found the ride as good or better than Michelin. I also have gone with Borg "Dually Valves" on the rear duals. The tire store I use installs them with the new tires at no additional charge.

RE: Dingy with room for 5 adults.

Are you lookin for new or used? The 2019 Edge is not on Fords 4 down towable list. I have been told the only 2019 Edge towable 4 down is the ST model.

RE: Base plate question

Since you are only going to tow it once, check out a A frame tow bar at auto parts or harbor freight type store and make it attach to that jeep. I did this once when I was traveling in my toad and bought a motor home on the trip and needed to tow the toad back home 600 miles.
