RE: Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Great information. We enjoy hunting down the smaller parks and monuments. Nowhere near as crowded and therefore able to get a better choice camping sites. Our usual plan is, a couple of weeks ahead, I grab the list of campgrounds I am making up right now, and start laying out our stay. So far I've found that reservations are accepted in the South unit but the North unit is first come first served. Both boondocking Which is fine with us!!

Theodore Roosevelt National Park

So, I'm putting together ideas for our trip this next summer. After the Enchanted Highway we would like to visit the North and South sections of the park. After checking out the campgrounds and the distance between the North and South sections. I thought I should ask for ideas on how you folks did your tours of these areas. So it looks like we should do the south side first, then move to the North side. We are touring in our 26ft class C no tow. We will be doing the interior roads in our RV, if the roads are able to handle it. Should be in the area around mid-july an can spend a week or so in the area. I won't be able to make campground reservations more than 2 weeks in advance because I'm not really sure when we will be in the area. As always your suggestions are always appreciated.

RE: Gas prices

We are planning a another cross country trip this summer. This time across the northern states. My wife and I are retired and are blessed to be able to still work part time. We increased our work days from 3 to 4 days per week. Going to follow the Great River Road to US 412 then US 412 West until it ends. Not going to let these insane price increases change our plans.

RE: Best wax for fiberglass................

I use "Rejex". It's just the best ,so far. I have had great results getting the bugs off the overhang with this product. They just don't stick to the fiberglass. Easy on easy off.

Great River Road

I'm beginning to plan our trip for next year. Going to pick up the Great River Road in East Moline Il. and run to Minneapolis. Which side do you folks prefer. The east side or the west side of the Mississippi?

RE: interstate 40 from New York to Las Vegas

So...If for some reason law enforcement decides to check out the interior of my RV and find the cash I keep handy, maybe $500, for emergency or whatever use, they can confiscate it??

RE: RV surveyors

OK. OP here. Maybe I posed my question wrong. I'm really not interested in whether someone would make a long distance purchase of an RV. My question is :Given the cost of used RV's it's interesting that there aren't certified RV's inspection services available that specialize in pre-sale inspections. As to my son in laws situation, the RV sold before he had a chance to really get further into the details and while we were discussing this RV, the thought of RV surveyors came to me and I thought I would put the question out here.

RV surveyors

My SIL is thinking of buying a used pivately owned Class C. He lives in Providence RI and the RV is in Texas. The seller says it's in very good condition, as I would expect him to say. Does anybody know if the RV industry has licensed RV Surveyors, like the boating industry? A service for hire that evaluates the integreity of the unit for sale and gives an honest market value of it.It sure seems like something that would come in very handy in a situation like this, or if a buyer is new to RVing and needs a professional opinion on a rig that's for sale.. Just a thought.

I-80 Milesburg Pa to Porter PA

I'm booked at the Dubois Pa KOA next Wednesday 8/18. I'm looking at I80 east of there and it looks like a big project on the eastbound side which is where I had planned to head. I'm thinking of alternate routes but the pickens look slim. I'm heading to the Tri-state RV park in Matamoras Pa. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Dinosaur National Park

We are going to be camped out in Vernal Utah for a few days. We are planning to visit Dinosaur NP. Besides the dig site, I'm looking for some suggestions of scenic roads or other sites that are acessable with my 26ft Class C. As always suggestions are appreciated.

RE: Pueblos West Co to Dinosaur Co

Thank You. Now I can figure out which campgrounds to use. This is the poke around part of our trip and 125 to 150 miles per day is our limit. No problem staying 2 or 3 days if we find a nice camp. Again Thanks.

RE: Onan 4000 generator cranks but won't start

Take the front cover off prime it for a minute or so then push the choke closed with your finger and hit the start while holding the choke closed. If your not sure which way is closed try one way and if it doesn't fire try the other, or take off the air cleaner and look down the throat of the carb. This is the only way my Onan will start when cold.

Pueblos West Co to Dinosaur Co

If all goes well I should be leaving Pueblo West next Thursday July 29th. Want to head west to Dinosaur. I'm thinking routes 50-285-24-i70-131-40. I would like to avoid the very high zig-zag roads as much as possible. Once I figure my route I'll start work on campgrounds. I'm traveling in my 26ft Class C no tow. As always all advise is appreciated.

Finished the "circle" today. Was fantastic, and the RV had no problem with it at all. As always, I appreciate the advise. Now on to the Aztec Ruins and Monument Valley (again)!!!!
