RE: New Jersey to California
highly recommend reservation near the grand canyon and also anywhere on the pch.
be sure your a/c is working because you will need it.
RE: La Veta Pass (Colorado) with old and heavy RV?
if your husband is uncomfortable with your rig or his driving don't do it.
he knows what each are capable of.
think of the kids if nothing else there is a lot of other place to explore
RE: Rattles
keep in mind you are moving a house down the road.it will rattle, how much depends on the rv and the packer.
just do the best you can and live with it. after a while you won't hear them as much
RE: Lake Tahoe
if they haven't caught him by then be sure to take someone a little slower than you.
"Hank the Tank" a 500 pound black bear that has broken into about 25 homes looking for food this winter
RE: Idaho Campgrounds
stayed on night at mtn view three years ago. nice park for being in the middle of no where. i would stay there again if in the area
RE: How to see grand canyon
if you want to really see it take a fixed wing or helicopter tour of it.
in a hour or so you will see more than you can in a month on land.
they will fly you right down in canyon for awesome views
RE: Class A repaint cost any ideas
if you have a trade school in your area that teaches auto body you might luck out and find a fresh grad that likes to paint.
RE: Better handling
try relaxing your grip on the wheel and look a little farther ahead and it may solve your problem. it is quite common for first time owners to over react just relaxing and not fighting it helps a lot.

You say "...in all kinds of weather..." Does that include snowing and sticking? Or just snowing? Have you driven that 40 foot DP on snow-covered roads and on ice with those Toyos?
.
