RE: Another tire thread

I don't run ST tires anymore on any of my trailers. I run LTs on all of my trailers except the fifth wheel, it has MTs.

RE: Disappointed in Disc Brakes

On that year Ford truck, you need an adaptor to use the factory brake contoller for electric/hydralic brakes. https://www.etrailer.com/Accessories-and-Parts/Titan/T4846000.html

RE: Performance/Efficiency versions of Cummins 6.7L

Compression is only one part of the puzzle. The lower compression motor has a higher output turbo, which translate to higher compression when running hard. More air + more fuel = more power. As far as fuel economy, I am with in 1/2 mile per gallon of my old truck, pulling the same trailer and the same roads. With just over 2,000 miles on this beast. As miles get put on, I suspect the milage will only get better, like my 4 previous Rams.

RE: 2020 GMC

My dissapointment is their failure to offer adaptive cruise. I have grown to really appreciate its function while towing in heavy traffic. They are upping the bar though in other features like their camera system. Just reading about it makes me think they will have it all over Ford in that department. They seem to have a lot of well thought out features, plus increased payloads in the 2500's and 3500 single rear wheel. The 2500 diesel now has an 11,350 GVWR which is one ton territory. My 2019 Ram 3500 has adaptive cruise and all the cameras as well

RE: Portable Satellite

For a reciever powered antenna, anything over 50', you start having problems. If you have a seperate 12 volt power supply, you should be good.

RE: Tongue weight issue on new toy hauler

Truck only (2017 Ram 2500) - steer axle - 4040 lb - drive axle - 3080 lb Truck and loaded trailer - steer axle - 3940 lb - drive axle - 3840 lb IMHO, your WDH is not yet properly setup. You need to move 150-200# from your drive axle to the steering axle. The steering axle should NEVER lose weight when the loaded trailer is attached. Steer axle is loosing too much weight, need to redo the setup for the equalizer to compensate for the loaded trailer. What works empty won't work for it loaded.

RE: Dually tire pressure?

Those of you that are running 70-80 psi in the front of your Dodges or Rams what does your door tag say for the fronts? Mine says 65psi and that is what I run but they always look a little low. What benefit do you get out of the higher pressure? 2019 with Max Tow option 80 psi in the front My 2014 was 80, and my 2010 was 80 as well

RE: Dually tire pressure?

Always 80 in the front 40 in the rear except when pulling the 5ver. I tow a 16' enclosed that weighs in at 6500 always, 24' enclosed race car trailer weighing in around 10k rotate tires every 7500 miles, all tires wear with in 1/32 of each other This is my 5th Ram dually, I ran this way with all of them, good ride and wear.

RE: Sticker price vs MSRP on trucks

Sticker price is normally the one used to show you inflated value for your trade in. Cash sale of a new vehicle runs 20-35% less than sticker, value of your trade in much less. The kicker is that they want you to believe they are giving you top price for your trade in, when in reality they are giving you bottom dollar. Research values, sell private, buy discounted. Keep the dealers income for yourself. Yeah right, you wish

RE: Maybe a new Ford?

The leather in the Longhorn is different than the Laramie. It is stiffer, but with time will loosen up after a break in period. I thought the same thing when we bought my wife's truck, I like them better than the seats in my Laramie since her truck has had a few miles put on it.
