RE: Is dash cam evidence allowed in an investigation

Dash cam video of an ambulance hitting my mirror on a bridge was enough for them to pay the $860 repair. Trooper advised not to let it write over it.

RE: TrailAir Pinbox Observation

The level is not set by air pressure, you need to add air until the colar on the upper part of the shock is at the point of the arrow on the lower body of the shock

RE: Chucking....is it the trailer or the truck?

What rear tire air pressure are you running? The ANDERSEN it's self will not cause chucking but if it's NOT properly torqued down to the bed it can add to the equation. I HIGHLY advise adding fillers under each corner of the hitch to fill the void between top of bed corrugation and bed bottom. This will help with the fore and aft movement. If you don't have shocks on your RV add them! Turn it back around and go for a drive. Center of my pin is 4" ahead of axle, that is where the RAM OEM pucks are with the 30K RAM hitch.

RE: Chucking....is it the trailer or the truck?

Chances are the fifth wheel hitch is mounted to far back. Being a short bed, the hitch is most likely mounted above center of axle if not behind center. Move the hitch forward to at least 2" ahead of center of axle, 4" is better yet.

RE: Issues putting 6' Lance 480 on f250 8' bed

center of gravity would be too far behind axle

RE: New Brakes Requires

Did you try adjusting your brakes first? Most trailer brakes are not self adjusting. Buy the cheaper set, they are most likely the same components and manufacturers.

RE: Electric cooler vs rv fridge

Electric cooler will only maintain a temperature 40* below the ambient temperature outside the cooler. 80* outside, 40* inside 100* outside, 60* inside Not a good choice IMO.

RE: Electrical issue

Try it on the generator, you could have a leg down on the 50 amp at the pedestal.

RE: DIY project for Generator rack

All the weight that you add to the rear will remove about the same from the hitch, and add all of it to the axles Example: 200 pounds on rear + 200 pounds removed from the hitch = 400 pounds added to axles.

RE: UDATE:Need help. Lost exhaust and air pressure regulation.

Governor for compressor bad. Drive it to a shop and have replaced. It won't hurt it, the high pressure pop off valve will release the air when over pressurized. Not unsafe to drive, but needs to be repaired immediatly.

RE: Questions for RVers with DISH

You need to turn them both on at the same time. If the antenna is on for 5 minutes with out a signal from the reciever, it will shut down.

RE: Bad Sam

Many insurance policies have road side assistance with them already, call and have the issue taken care of, pay the provider, file claim with your insurance for reimbursment.

RE: Grrrrr. Brake controller.

I would manually adjust your brakes and not rely on the unreliable self adjusters.
