I installed a solar panel this summer.Normally when I put the trailer in winter storage I usually remove the battery.
So with a solar, panel installed with controller should remove the battery from the trailer? Or leave the battery.
It does get pretty cold up here in winter (-30C)
What do most of you rv'ers do.
Whistlers and wapiti are the bigger campgrounds in Jasper, if you show up mid week with out booking a site you will get a spot, you would have to show up early.
Last year we were at Wapiti for 5 days in July and there were tons of empty sites.
There are a lot of travellers with rental units that only stay 1 nite and move on.
I wouldn't worry about it one bit.
We have sold a few our selfs, check craigslist, or dealers and price yours accordingly, even just a bit below. You don't want to over price it you will not get one single call, selling your self is still better than trading it in, cause the dealers will give you way less, and charge high when it is on the lot.because they are in there to make a buck.
Expect some lowball offers, but stick to your asking price.
I really don't get the generator thing, why go camping if you want air conditioning, tv and your margarita maker.
Just last night , my neighbour pulled in with his rv, Moma driving the big SUVs towing a fancy boat, they set up, a big screen tent gets set up one side is all tapped in and a giant big screen tv come out, and poppa sets up his big yellow champion generator and fires it up. That thing ran for 3 hours, so the kids can play with their playstation. After 3 hours I went over and asked if it could be shut down, it is very annoying. To me people with big loud annoying generators have no respect for someone else and are pretty selfish in my opinion.
If you need power that bad for a few dollars more you can get a powered site, and spending a few hundred or a thousand on a generator will buy you a lot of powered sites.
I think I would buy a unit from canadream, those units look well taken care off and they look a lot newer than their competitor Cruise Canada
I see a lot of older cruise Canada units with big murals on them, and they must mile them out before they are being sold.
We have cruiser rv " 2010 shadow cruiser 195wbs" we bought it used in 2011, and towed it around a fair bit, the only issue we had was that the factory tires were just garbage, we replaced them with radials in 2012, the original tires were cracked and dry rotted. Other than that, she serves us well, In fact we are using it right now as I type this, we are hanging out in Banff National park.this is the earliest we've ever been out.
