We have a 21' Shadow cruiser, and tow it with a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 3L diesel, it tows the trailer no problem, if I hook the trailer up to my 2005 Chev pick up that has the 4.8L gas , that thing screams, and always looking for a gear.
The Jeep grand Cherokee has a 7000LB towing capacity, so I have lots to spare.
To us this is an awesome set up.
The only problem is Jeep only had the diesel (Mercedes) for 3 years.
But Later this year or (2014 auto year)the Jeep comes out with a new 3.0L dies from Fiat motori, and I believe the Dodge ram pick up as well.
Another strange thing in the US is when ordering a hamburger, the waiter/waitress would ask How would you like it done, rare, medium rare, or well done.
Here in Canada we eat our burgers well done. The Canadian health inspectors keep on stressing that hamburger should be cooked all the way thru.
I like my hamburger well done, steak must be medium rare.
IF you have an auction company in your area, take it to an auction, either a car auction or farm auction. have a reserved bid on it say for $3000., at least you will have enough money to pay off the loan , and some for commission fee and the rest is pocked money. Who knows it might sell for $5000.00, The trailer is still fairly new.
It is amazing what people buy at auctions. Actions are "buy as is"
Either way good luck.
No Need for a gun, Why is it that what ever moves need to be shot. Remember if you are in the mountains you are in the bears territory , the bear was there before you.
Last year we were at a campground in Kananaskis we had a bear roaming around next to our campsite, there were signs all over, the bear saw me and he moved on, just keep your campsite clean and tidy. Follow the rules if you don't like it move to an gated RV park where no animals will come in or stay in a city.
OP, Have you tried to contact Cruiser RV (viewfinder manufacturer)) or the dealer you bought it from. How old is your trailer?, I would imagine there would be some sort of warranty on the under carriage.
How do you want to trade off your TT with broken springs? You won't get a cent for it if you just drag it like that to an dealer.
Last Summer we camped in Kananaskis Country (Alberta) we were in a fairly busy campground, in the afternoon we laid down for a nap, woke up and heard some noise outside the trailer, went outside to take a peak and sure enough there was a nice shiny black bear eating dogwood berries, I thought it was neat, the wife was scared.
I made a bit of noise he looked at me and took off.
The best thing is keep your camp site clean, stow away all your food, and take out the garbage, even brushing your teeth do it in the rv or washrooms, if you spit out the toothpaste in the shrubs around your rv it will attract bears.
