RE: Rving coming to an end

So sorry to hear this! It's been such tough year in so many ways, but you've reminded me I need to appreciate that we can still be out here at least for awhile longer. My best to your DW and to you as you navigate these rough waters.

RE: Looking for fellow RVing writers

I
I believe everyone has books lurking inside their heads. The hardest part is sitting down and starting. It flows from there and is very enjoyable.
I agree! Love hearing how you balance your writing and travel -- sounds like a natural fit for your lifestyle!

I enjoy reading Becky's IO Blog. Very interesting young lady. She doesn't post as much as she did in the past.
She's wonderful! And brings such energy and insight to her travels.

RE: Any one else giving up snow birding due to the covid

We've been full-timing since 2009 and in the last few years have found a loop that works for us, staying at our favorite places along the way. We've generally managed to follow the plan we made last year, but have been stuck in Idaho since somebody rear-ended our toad (unattached from the RV at the time)" while we've waited for it to be fixed (a long process that will end up being about a month's wait, if all goes as planned).
So the short answer to this is, no, we're not giving up snow birding. We're delayed a bit, not due to Covid. We have sites waiting for us in the southwest, so we'll spend time there through the coldest months. It's actually easier for us to self-quarantine there because of all the space. And we can spend time outside in the winter months :)
We are keeping an eye on the positivity rates and could alter where we stay or how long we stay someplace based on that, as things seem to be surging again.
Hope everyone is staying safe!

RE: Looking for fellow RVing writers

I take my laptop when camping and write novels. I find the process so much more entertaining, fulfilling and engrossing than reading. I self publish for Kindle on Amazon which is a really easy process even though no one buys the books. My plans are to write two books this winter.
Durb -- How do you balance your writing and RVing adventuring? I keep struggling to find the time to do everything -- write, hike, explore, do the usual day-to-day stuff, etc. Do you have a schedule? Use self-imposed deadlines?

Tried to PM you ellenbehr - you don't allow PM??
Found it! I feel so much better now :) Open to PM.... Sorry for the learning curve. (And to think I once wrote a novel where hacking was a key element in it!)

I would if I knew how... Where's this setting? Or maybe I was offline?
Sorry... I went in a matter of seconds from feeling fairly web-savvy to web-idiot :o
It's great to see there are so many fellow writers here!

Looking for fellow RVing writers

Thought I'd reach out to other RVers who are actively writing and publishing (or have plans to publish). Anybody out there?
I've been writing forever and publishing nearly as long, but find more and more RVing writers as we travel. We've been full-timers since 2009 and I'd love to hear about what other writers have been working on. Hope you'll share your writing endeavors here!
