RE: Catelitic Convertor protect?
This cost me around $30. 10' of 1/8" steel cable, pieces to make loop ends, screw-locking caribiner and bike alarm from Amazon.
I made loopends on both ends of the cable and wrapped it around the cat and around some large wire bundle. I connected both ends together with the caribiner and tightened it with a wrench. I then zip tied the motion sensing alarm to the loops in the cable, one tie in each loop.
If you bump the exhaust pipe or the cable or the alarm it will go off. You can't remove the alarm, cable or cat without making some noise. There's also the visual deterrent. For $30, why the heck not.

The alarm comes with a remote.

I suppose it would depend on the size of the batteries and the specs of the fridge, but normally, I would say no. More information would help answer your question.

While any refrigerator can "grow old", absorption refrigerators can last many years. I have a friend that has a cabin with a 1954 kerosene fired absorption refrigerator that is still going strong.And I’ll bet that thing has been level it’s whole life.

You need to run a positive cable up to the battery. Why can't you run a negative as well?
No, you do NOT need to run a positive wire to the battery !
This is the reason DC-DC chargers were invented ! As long as you meet the specified input voltage AT THE CHARGER you are good to go. Most factory 7 pin trailer connectors can handle 40A-50A.
It's my understanding this is a motorhome, not a trailer. Page 10 of the linked manual clearly shows a connection to the positive post of the starter battery.

Have one of those and unless it's wired wrong the battery still goes dead.
Did you follow the instructions to wire it? It doesn't use the 7-pin connector. The wires in the umbilical with the 7-pin connectors are too small. You must use the supplied wire and have a second umbilical with it's own connectors.
Or you can wire it up to the 7-pin connector but you still need to use the supplied wire through out. That's how I did it. Here's a pic of my umbilical.

I am installing a Renogy 20-amp DC to DC charger. My question is regarding the negative cable connections. The instructions say to connect the input negative cable to the chassis battery and the output negative cable to the house battery.
My chassis battery is a good 15 feet away from where I'm mounting the charger and it would take some tricky cabling to get it there. Both the chassis battery and the house batteries are grounded to the frame. The charger will be right next to a negative post on the frame. What difference would it make if I just connected both of the negative cables of the charger to the same post? Can this cause a problem?
I will contact Renogy next week with the question, but I am trying to get this install done this weekend, so I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.It should work but I guess I don't understand the problem. You need to run a positive cable up to the battery. Why can't you run a negative as well?

I replaced the existing RV type outlet with a residential one, cut the tabs on the back to isolate them from each other and wired one side to the inverter and left the other side wired as it was. That outlet was always there. If I'm plugged in, I use the shore side. If I'm not, I use the inverter side after turning the thing on with the remote on the wall. No ATS, no plugging or unplugging power cords and no flipping breakers.

The OP has not told us what his monitor considers 100% charged. He is at 78% of who knows what. From the factory, the Victron monitor says 13.2v and a 4% tail current is 100%. That is way too low IMHO and deceiving. In my case, that would mean being down almost 17Ah from what I and my PD converter consider to be full. The monitor only knows what we tell it.
