RE: Dawson city

We alternate between the Gold Rush and the Yukon River government campground, depending on what our plans are. If we're there to walk around town and do things, the Gold Rush makes that simple. If we want to relax around the RV, we go across the river.

RE: Hope to Cache Creek

I prefer 1 from Hope to Cache Creek - it's far more interesting. Have driven both many, many times.

RE: Unusually good aurora tonight

Last night's awesome aurora didn't happen. I spent about 5 hours out waiting at a good photography location, then gave up...

RE: Dawson City to Watson Lake

Here's my Campbell Highway Road Log from July 2018, with almost 100 photos. Even in my Class A I would do it again, but it's not a road to be in a hurry on. Early October, though, can be Early Winter, so I'd sure check the weather carefully.

RE: When to visit Northern Quebec, Western Labrador?

We were in Newfoundland and Labrador from June 1st through June 19, 2017, towing a 21 foot travel trailer. I posted a long piece last summer about our return trip towing the trailer from Blanc Sablon to Baie Comeau -- over 1,000 miles with only about 300 miles of good road from Goose Bay to Labrador City. Where was that piece posted? I've been unable to find it here.
