RE: diesel prices along I40

I remember stopping at a Loves in Georgia where diesel was $3.09. I hit Gas Buddy and 1/2 mile away at a Kroger it was $2.59 + I got another 2 cents off because I had a Kroger card. 52 cents a gallon less saved me $39 on 75 gallons.

RE: Toilet mounting

I changed out the ceramic one in my Monaco. Took about 30 min at the most. Has worked perfect ever since.

RE: Diesel Pusher, side vs rear mount radiator

My 97 Luxor had a rear radiator and other than it was a PTA to change the upper radiator hose it has been fine for 21 years and 109,000mi. And I never cleaned it. I have a Monaco now with a side radiator and see no difference. I don't work on them so radiator location for that reason means nothing to me.

RE: Miles per day.

old dave last week I loaded up my race car, left Thur morning and drove 200mi to a race track where I unloaded and raced 3 races in the next 3 days. Loaded up Sunday and backed this mess in the driveway about 9pm. No help just me. I do this frequently but some times it is 1000mi.

RE: Miles per day.

I to have done the marathon drive of 1000+ miles at a time. Now I think 500 would be about the limit as most trips the last few years have been in the 3-400 mile range. 78 years old so I guess I am supposed to slow down some, maybe.

RE: purchase of 95 winnebago luxor

I have a 97 Luxor and think it is great, had it for years and about the only major thing I have replaced was the radiator before it became a problem. its a far better unit than the newer Monaco that I also have. I especially like the basement a/c up front underneath, You never hear it at night when sleeping in the bed. I would not sell mine for that price.

RE: Duo Therm AC 620215.303 not draining water to the outside

Sorry, I have a different DP and it has a different a/c unit. Didn’t mean to hijack this thread.

RE: Duo Therm AC 620215.303 not draining water to the outside

I can see my drain lines from down below. I took them apart and blew them out with my compressor. Went on top and did the best I could because I can’t see where the drain holes are in the pan. When I disconnect drain hose in the bottom it seems to drain fine to that point. I blew out the down side tube and found nothing wet under the coach but it seems to not be draining there

RE: Short Class A with no toad?

Good example. We went to Charleston, SC and stayed at a KOA 20 mi out a month ago. In one week we put 450mi on our Smart car toad. There is virtually no on street parking but I usually found somewhere the little car would fit for free.

RE: Trailer wiring

With trailers its always something. I have 3 trailers, 2 pick up trucks, and 2 motor homes. Every thing works on all of them except when the new DP is plugged up electric brakes don't work on trailer. Will get to it when I have time.

RE: Toilet replacement

I might not be much help since I replaced mine with a porcelin one. It was pretty simple and took about an hour at most to install. Mine was a Dometic. It had been sitting a month and I checked it today and it still had water in it.

RE: Door stop--or whatever its called

Ok, been home a few days and fixed it. The end attached to the door frame must have had a pin in it to attach to the arm. Had a hole in the piece attached to the door frame and a hole in the arm. So, I removed the piece from the door frame, cut the head off of a bolt the proper size, welded it into the hole in the piece that mounts in the door frame, distorted the threads so nut would not come off, (I hope) and attached it to the arm on the door with a nut. It seems to work perfect and I see no reason that it won't last.

RE: roof air

Is it safe to blow out the drain hose at the a/c from under the unit (behind filter) or should I go on top to do that and clean out the evap pan also?

RE: TSD Diesel Fuel Discount Program

I pulled into a Loves in SC checked the HIGH priced diesel, checked Gas Buddy and drove down the street 1/2 mile where I got it for .50 a gallon less at a Kroger grocery. I am around 72ft long including trailer and had no problem getting in and out. Plus the 2% back on the credit card. Most of the truck stops charge 5 to 10 cents more a gallon for using a credit card also. But hey, any you can save go for it.

RE: Dolly towing

someone needs to explain to me how it is all right to tow it 4 down with the drive shaft in but you need to take it out to tow on a dolly. Am I missing something here?

RE: Door stop--or whatever its called

Ok, I found the arms in the retracted position on top of the door. Looks like it broke loose at the other end. Never had any problem with the original set up so will first see if I can fix it.....will be gone a few days but will let you know the outcome.....thanks everyone.

RE: 1996 F53 Motorhome Radiator?

Door stop--or whatever its called

Whatever it is that holds the door open on my Monaco isn't working. Acts like its not even there. Had an adult not schooled on these and he was yanking on it but it didn't stop working till the next day. I don't see anything that resembles the one on my Winnebago. Anyone help???
