RE: Is an old fantastic fan worth fixing?

A couple of years ago mine quit and I went to my local RV parts place and he told me he would get a replacement. I was surprised when I picked up the new one and there was no charge as it was guaranteed for life

RE: Retiring from the RV world

Last one I bought came with everything. Don’t like Jeeps, sold it, tow set up sold also. This made the DP cheaper and we already had a Smart car and dolly. My 1997 40ft DP sold for asking price in one week. Both were top of the line, sold Winnebago Luxor and bought a Monaco Windsor. Good luck.

RE: I-77 Between SC And OH in January - What to Expect?

I have driven 77 every since it has been there every couple of weeks. I doubt you would embark on any trip on any road where there is never any snow

RE: Stranded in Marietta, GA

A week? Its not the space shuttle, surely any truck shop or mobile mechanic can fix it.

RE: Good Sam Roadside Assistance Towing from my home

When I had Good Sam they towed mine out of the barn and about 15mi to a repair place. But that was the "old Good Sam".

RE: Coach Net, great service !!

Good Sam used to be top notch but after turning their road service over to someone else it went down hill quick. I had had good service up until then. Had one service call for a flat after and after a long wait I got under way only to have the wheel come loose causing more damage. Then someone came that couldn't fix it or tow it. A state trooper stopped and with his help we got the wheel mounted and I got it home. Any way I changed to CN and have been satisfied so far.

RE: Where did the Non weekend RVers go?

Sounds like grumpy old man syndrome to me. I am 80 and park my DP in private campgrounds. Have never used state parks etc and have never seen what you mention. Was in Myrtle Beach before Christmas then went to South FL and got back here to central NC last night. QC just sounds unhappy....I post frequently!

RE: Where are all of the snowbirds?

I just came from south FL to central NC the last few days and I-75--301--I-95 had a ton of RVs heading South. Was 85 when I left down there and is 28 here. Might be time to turn around.

RE: Seneca Rocks, WV

Closest we found to there was near Elkins unless you are roughing it. I am from that area and go to the area to ski but I am not a fan of places with limited facilities. Most everything unless ski related is closed now for the winter.

RE: Water pump help----maybe

Open thanks. Got it wired now so it works and a real fix is on hold for now. Holidays and leaving for FL the 28th so it it will wait till I get back home. Lots of wires at that switch on the control panel.

RE: Vancouver Island

My brother has been stuck up there living in his 5er while building a house. Not happy about being stuck because of Covid

RE: Holding Tank Terminations

So, I have been doing this for years even in campground. I keep the valves both closed and every couple of days I empty the black till its empty then open the grey which will flush all of the black out of my slinky. Theory being if there is no liquid in the black tank solids can build up in there or in the slinky. This way its all liquid and the grey flushes out everything as it goes out last. It does not go into the black tank. Never heard of the situation the OP mentions.

RE: Where are the RV's?

We went to Myrtle Beach for 10 days and got back last Thursday. Took I-40 to Wilmington and US 17 to Myrtle. Park was not full although the weather was fantastic. Parked just over the dunes from the ocean. Came back up the I-74 way and saw quite a few RVs heading South. Leaving for Fl South of Tampa the 28th and looking forward to a good trip. Been a lot of miles since covid and no crowds to speak of. Got 3 Phizer shots, thats all I can do and keep rollling. Everyone stay safe.

RE: Where has Executive been?

Glad things are going good. I to bought one of those "old" houses built in 1897. Its a job for sure as I got mine in 1985 when I was 45. Really good to see you back in here.

RE: Stop using AIOW please!

Lack of education--do they teach spelling in school anymore? Neighbors son is 10 and brought me a written note he made for me on Veterans day. It was hardly legible. I also have very little formal education but taught myself as best I could. Not interested in learning over at this age, 80, because some are to lazy or think they are cute. Flame on!

RE: Water pump help----maybe

I can't check right now but when it worked no matter which switch I activated the other red light also came on. The green light at the control panel switch may, I say MAY, have stayed on all the time. It has a bunch of wires to it. The way I have it now when I turn on the light, power, all 3 lights 2 red and one green at the panel come on. It works fine the way I have it now although not correct. Ground seems to be fine at the pump. I see no kind of controller at the pump. Wires go into a harness and disappear up into who knows where.

RE: Water pump help----maybe

No in line fuse. what is this intelletec relay and any clue where it might be? Something is clicking inside the wall at the front control panel (LPG, Fresh, black, grey, water, & battery)where there is also a switch with a green light for the water pump. It clicks when any of the 3 water pump switches are hit. The pump works and as a temporary fix I have wired from the bathroom light so when the light is on the red light comes on at that location as well as at the front panel and in the basement along with the water pump. Switch off the light and everything stops. With this fix when the light is on the pump works but the pressure switch will cut it off as soon as it reaches max pressure. Still don't know what is wrong.

Water pump help----maybe

Went South a week ago and it was working fine but after a couple of days on the camp ground water we unhooked and our on board pump seems to have a problem---the pump is only 1 year old. This is a 1998 Monaco. It has a switch in the outside bay, in the bathroom and on the control panel. None of these work (red light does not come on) Only fuse I know of is in the panel over the bed and it is good+I changed it anyway. That fuse is for the water pump and the control panel. I checked power to the one in the bathroom and the one outside and for some reason it shows about 6.5 volts. Everything 12 volt on the up front control panel that is 12 volts works as does the light on the same panel as the pump in the bathroom. I will bypass everything tomorrow and make sure the pump is working. Help!
