RE: 2017 Honda CR-V flat towable?

We have a 2017 and tow it with a dolly. That works good. Also have a Smart car that we tow most of the time.

RE: Towing a car hauler

I have towed a 32ft 3 axel enclosed trailer for 20 years without a WDH with 2 different DPs and never a problem. Probably close to 300,000mi over the years.

RE: Class A-what year is it?

Thanks 4X4. These older units don't differ much in price. Condition counts for a bunch and anything that affects what it costs me is my concern and tags are cheaper this way. I have one about wore out and one that is just like new but they are only 1 year apart. I don't tell DMV how to do their job, LOL.

RE: Class A-what year is it?

You suppose so Dutch----Both were the house year when I got them in another state but had to be checked at the DMV and ended up being what they are now. DMV is happy and I am on the road.

RE: 1997 Fleetwood Advantage Diesel

I have had a 97 and a 98 with the 8.3. The 97 is 325hp and the 98 is 300hp. I tow a pretty big trailer and can really tell the difference.

RE: Class A-what year is it?

Someone above mentioned Maryland using the house date as the year on the title. I currently have 2 registered in MD and both use the chassis date which is one year older than the coach + one is registered as a Freightliner and not a Winnebago. Am I concerned, not hardly. This is another case of plenty of "experts" on the subject.

RE: NC DMV Inspection near Charlotte/Carowinds

Mine is registered in MD and no emissions, no personal property tax, and no yearly inspection.

RE: Sub 35 foot Well Built Motorhome?

I miss my quiet basement air in our old Winnebago Luxor....This Monaco we have now has noisey roof air. Our Monaco is 36ft DP.

RE: Online shopping for parts and supplies

I'll relay my PPL experience in a few days as its not over yet. Product arrived damaged, first contact said it would be replaced and damaged one picked up. After 4th call it is supposedly somewhat taken care of---FedX picked up the damaged one. They did not have another and are supposed to refund my money. Have not seen that yet-----more later.

RE: North Carolina Rout 26 to Charleston

We were down there 3 weeks ago. 26 is fine, we stayed at a KOA in Ladson,SC that wasn't bad and easy drive to everything. We have a 40ft DP and a Smart car toad but parking was awful in the city and none free. I put 400 mi on the Smart in a week, took cruise, carriage rides, dined, etc. Had a good time.

RE: Battery Question

Thanks to all those who responded. Doug got me pointed in the right direction. And how true that the manuals aren't always right, they also leave out a lot of information.

Battery Question

If I am parked (at home) hooked up to shore power should the house and chassis batteries read the same voltage? I have a Monaco DP and it has 3 house batteries and 1 huge chassis battery. House reads 13.2 and chassis reads 12.4. Its been parked for a week. I load tested the chassis battery and it load tested good and has stayed at about 12.4 + a little before I tested it. No guess work please--come in Doug!

RE: What!

Hard to fathom so many detractors from flying the American Flag no matter the reason. Hope everyone that fought for that flag stood up for it now. Enough big brother.

Its Memorial day weekend and the city of Statesville,NC has ordered Camping World to remove the American flag that flies there every day in honor of Veterans. They say it is to big and will fine them $50 a day for every day it has been there. What Say you?

RE: $700 replacement toilet????

Local RV place just quoted me right at $500 for a new low profile for my Monaco. I got it from PPL for right at $350 including shipping. And it is the right 4 bolt hook up with a sprayer so I don't need the $58 adaptor for a 2 bolt.....I am old and not 2 smart and takes about an hour to change out.

RE: New Member and Question

It can be done but a PIA. Be sure and plug the trans where the driveshaft comes out. Friends wife has a S-10 she put the driveshaft disconnect in and she has had it all over the country by her self. Might look into that.
