RE: Z-Wave Thermostat

Have no idea if this is what you need but it is powered by 4 AA batteries.
There may be others.

RE: Skin Cancers

I go to my Dermatologist every 4 months and a Mohs Micrographic Surgeon when required.
What should happen at the dermatologist? Based on his experiences and the size, aggressiveness of the spot it is either treated with cryotherapy (freezing) or biopsies are taken.
Mohs surgery is the most effective if surgery is required. Thin layers of cancer-containing skin are progressively removed and examined until only cancer-free tissue remain. This is done in office, local anesthetic, very seldom requires stiches.
I have had over 25 Mohs surgeries performed, mostly on my scalp and arms, all due to younger years of sun exposure. One melanoma removed by a plastic surgeon.
There is also 5% Efudex cream, prescription required, for the skin cancer prone. It works by blocking and killing the growth of abnormal cells.
Basal cells and squamous cells are cancer

RE: Kwikee Step magnetic switch and magnet

The steps have a main operating switch. On position operates the steps based on the door position only.
With the main switch in the on position and with the door open you can find the magnetic switch by using a magnet in in your hand and moving it around to suspected magnet switch location.
The same magnetic switch is used to operate the steps with the main switch on or off. Off position makes the stairs retract when the ignition is on and the door is closed.

RE: Best lube for rubber and gears on slide out.

Don't know what brand of slide you have. For my Power Gear the only thong you can lube is the bearings on the shaft that the motor rotates. 30w oil.

RE: Forecast of minus 60 in mid-west.

Go to Alaska, its warmer there. One of the qualifying races for the Iditarod just got canceled because of rain messed up trail conditions. Lack of snow has caused cancellation of another and another has to be shortened because of poor trail conditions.

RE: Battery disconnect - can I still use my heat?

Your batteries would be better off if you disconnected them instead of leaving them on a float charge.
The converter will provide enough to run the heater if you need to.

RE: Sealants

Use Pro Flex on all but the roof. It does not run or crack, flexible and it is smoothed with a soapy finger, several colors.
Used it when I replaced the front and rear end cap molding.

RE: I need a real boost!

Disappointed in what way?
A weak connection that is slow or the connection speed when you do have a good connection?
If either has a connection for an antenna that would help in areas with low signal strength.

RE: Food safety experts?

https://www.fda.gov/food/resourcesforyou/consumers/ucm261680.htm
The FDA has approved a variety of foods for irradiation in the United States including:
•Beef and Pork
•Crustaceans (e.g., lobster, shrimp, and crab)
•Fresh Fruits and Vegetables
•Lettuce and Spinach
•Poultry
•Seeds for Sprouting (e.g., for alfalfa sprouts)
•Shell Eggs
•Shellfish - Molluscan
(e.g., oysters, clams, mussels, and scallops)
•Spices and Seasonings
Just the logistics would have been to much.

RE: Yea, "cheap gas"

Enjoy these prices while you can.
In 2020 the oil industry is in for some volatile changes.
New U.N. International Maritime Organization rules for the global shipping fleet are going to go into effect. Ships will have to use fuel with a sulfur content of no more than 0.5 percent, compared to 3.5 percent now, unless a vessel has equipment to clean up its sulfur emissions.
Can refineries meet this changing demand, that is the question.
