RE: Nearly impossible to get Class C Chassis serviced?

Most gas motorhomes and class c have the same gas tank and hose arrangement, hoses usually feed the generator. Had my tank dropped and the fuel pump replaced about two years ago on my F53 Ford chassis motorhome. It was done by a local diesel truck shop. They did not put it on a lift. They used roll around floor jacks to get up to drop the tank. First place I called.

RE: Black tank not draining!

After you get it draining nothing is needed except more water when it used and more water when you drain it.

RE: Bluetooth question

There are many Bluetooth profiles that do different things. The device operates using a particular profile and the phone has to support this profile. Your hearing aid probably needs an A2DP profile on the phone to work.

RE: What % Of Alcohol Does Your State Have?

It looks like USA gasoline is going to jump to fifteen percent minimum. Forever All gas is not going to 15% as a minimum. A few ethanol producing states are going to blend and sell 15% gas outside of the normal June to September cutoff. Nothing is going to change with 10% gas availability.

RE: Battery tender & storage

Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. I have always done this even though my storage facility has power. No surprises, no need to add water, very small voltage drop.

RE: Electric cord connection to tow car

After you get the connection problem fixed get a small tube of dielectric grease from an auto parts store and apply to the pins of the connector. This prevents oxidation and corrosion in the connector. Fewer problems with the connection.

RE: Batteries sat for 5 months without charge

I never use a trickle charger or my inverter/charger when my motorhome is not in use. I just disconnect the ground cable from the house and chassis batteries. when it is time to go the batteries are always ready.

RE: Cleaning A/C coils: DIY or hire a pro? (See March 8 update)

A comb is used to straighten bent fins and can puncture coils if not careful. Use a brush to clean.

RE: Ford Chassis

Look on the Trico site for your motorhome. https://www.tricoproducts.com/products/heavy-duty-rv-wiper-blades Ford made the drivetrain, chassis. Your motorhome manufacturer added all that sits on the chassis.

RE: How to turn off interior lights while driving

All your manual says - Both decorative and ‘utility’ style 12-volt lighting fixtures may be used in your motor home. Utility style fixtures may be either single or dual. A slide switch selects either single or dual brightness. For your convenience, some lights are operated from wall switches. Clean the lenses with soapy water

RE: Solar maintainer.

Easiest way, charge the battery fully and remove the negative battery cable. The battery will fine, it will not freeze, the self discharge rate will be minimal. Charge it up before next use. I have done this on my motorhome 6v and 12 vote batteries for years.
