RE: Connecting to the internet

If you have good cell connection where you usually are it is much easier to use a cell phone and a carrier data plan that will let your phone create the WiFi hotspot.

RE: Texas?!? I'm shocked.

Makes no difference what other states require. To get a registration sticker you have to have proof of the required liability insurance and it has to have passed the safety inspection within 3 months of paying the registration fee.

RE: A/C excessive noise/buffeting

Shouldn't be that way. Do you have wasps that make dirt nests in your area? Probably the reason, they made a nest on one of your fan blades.

RE: Transmission

As long as you have it in hand I would cover the exposed end with screen wire to prevent insects from plugging up the vent. Mine got plugged up from insects, no vent. This forced transmission fluid up the fill tube, lost fluid and made a big mess.

RE: Paralleling Two Generators

Please read if are considering connection two AC sources. https://www.quora.com/If-we-connect-two-AC-sources-of-an-unequal-voltage-to-each-other-will-the-higher-voltage-source-act-as-a-source-to-the-lower-one "AC is complicated. We need to think about frequency and phase along with voltage. Power plants have circuit specially designed to synchronize two sources. Two AC sources with mismatching frequency and phase can cause a short circuit. "

RE: are RV microwave ovens the same as kitchen ones?

Most microwaves can be installed and vented several different ways, rear vent, top vent or no vent at all. There is no real difference in the microwave itself.

RE: no power from generator

Fired up the gennie and shock it started. Been having problems with that, but different problem. While I had it running, I decided to add a load to it, so turned on the A/C and the convection oven. No go. Checked the fridge and it was still operating on gas, then checked the power board and it wasn't showing any AC input, even after changing it to 50 amp. After running the gennie for a bit longer, I shut it down and plugged back into shore power and everything worked as it should. Wondering if this is the transfer switch and how do I test it? Fire up the gennie and put a tester on it to see if it's getting in? Way too long wait times to get it done at a shop. Has your problem been solved? What was the solution?

RE: no power from generator

Stator field boost is built into the Generac generator. Drill motors not needed.

RE: no power from generator

You could have the diesel or propane generator. If it is propane it is the Generac NP-66LPG. Not sure about the diesel version but if it is the LPG version you can apply stator field boost a little longer when you start the engine. This may be necessary if the gen has not been under load in a while. Stator field boost is applied every time you start the engine and is removed when the start switch is released. Hold the start switch down for another 5 sec when the engine starts to apply the boost longer. Starter power is cut by engine RPM, not the start switch. I have the Generac Q 55G in my National Let us know

RE: Readying TT for ALASKA Trip

left the motor home in winter storage in Anchorage for four winters. Flew up in the spring and back in the fall. Drove to many lactations. Came back with no chips or dings on the MH or toad. It is not a matter of where you are, how you drive is what makes the difference. You may never see a gravel road for driving at speed. You will have frost heaves in the northern Yukon.

RE: Gas prices, weather and wildfires...

Past several months fuel prices were down because of a glut of processed oil, that's over. Now, expect fuel prices to slowly continue upwards.
