RE: Anyone seen a Van Leigh???

I heard that Lippert opened a frame factory just down the road from Vanleigh to save shipping cost, and meet their demand.

RE: Gooseneck or 5th wheel

Put one of the underbed rail with turn over gooseball so you have both. Another option is just a turnover ball gooseneck & a B& W Companion that slips into the gooseneck ball shaft. I use a Curt turnover gooseneck with a Curt X-Rail that mounts in the hole and use a B& W Patriot . Really depends on how heavy a 5er your planning on. If real heavy look at the Traiersaver Airride hitches but B&W will take some really heavy ones also. As luck would have it, I was actually looking at the B&W underbed mount gooseneck. I want to get the hitch before I have the bed Line-Xed. Most of the 5ers we've looked at so far are in the 9-11K dry weight range. I would line-x it first, and not need to tape everything off, and they will not damage the liner when installing the turnover bracket.

RE: trailer lift kit

How much room are you looking to gain? Look under the trailer at the axles. If it has leaf springs and they are under the axle then you can add a kit to put the springs on top. This will gain you about 6 inches (the thickness of the axle plus the thickness of the spring pack) Dexter makes a kit for this. Link to kit Do remember that any other lift methods have to be divided in half. A tire that is one inch taller only lifts the trailer by 1/2 inch. It's the same with a longer shackle. A 1 inch longer shackle on one end of the spring pack adds only 1/2 inch to the ride height. A longer shackle will lower the trailer.:)

RE: Anyone seen a Van Leigh???

I'm happy with my Pinecrest 305RLP, but I did upgrade the suspension, and brakes.

RE: Truck overheating towing on long steep grades.

The 2003 5.9 Cummins had an additional torque converter cooler mounted on the driver side at the rear on the engine, and I would check this also. As stated before, replacing the vicious fan clutch with only oem did the trick for me.

RE: Diesel Brothers

I do miss my 2003 5.9 Cummins that was the last year with no emissions, or cats.

RE: Ground Control 3.0

Did you run them way out every time you set up, and not drop the inner legs? Just curious, but I have seen this posted before about not being able to grease them too.

RE: trailer lift kit

The MorRyde SRE4000 with the X-Factor brace is a good set up, or what I did was the Correct Track, and the X-Factor brace on the center hanger.

RE: You can buy S637 tires here, but install: HAHAHAHA

When I went to DT for my wife's tires they added a few hundred dollars to the total without even asking me if I wanted all that stuff. I could buy an extra tire for the cost of the road hazard, life time rotation, etc.

RE: Finished installing Kodiak 6K disc brakes

If I still had my Max Brake I wouldn’t need disc brakes.

Finished installing Kodiak 6K disc brakes

Well it took me a while due to rain, but its done, and I really like the way it stops now, and I also have 6k Timken races, and bearings, instead of the China ones that came with it. The only downside is the 1 to 2 second delay, but I'll get used to that. Thanks for all the advice to switch to disc brakes.

Anyone canceling trips due to Corona virus?

I've got several trips planned, and some are at music festivals, so I'm trying to decide what to do. I see SBySW has cancelled, and afraid there will be more to do the same. We just got our first case in Memphis today.

RE: MOR Ryde X Factor Frame Strengthening

My mistake, they do make the X-Factor for Correct Track hangers.
