RE: Raising our 5er

Installing the Correct Track system will raise the trailer 3". A relatively inexpensive & easy install. I think it states 2" unless they have a new version.

RE: Good Year buying out Cooper tires

I have Cooper tires on both of my vehicles, and will purchase them again.

RE: Andersen Hitch

I did the same thing with my B&W slider, the first time I slid it back It destroyed the top plastic piece of my tailgate. I now have an rv tailgate and no problems.

RE: Air Bag Pressure

I run 20psi just to help the coil springs on the dips at bridges. TXiceman, my air bags say I can carry 5,000 lbs more. LOL The air springs DO NOT increase the load capacity of the truck. All you can say is the air springs an carry 5000#. The truck is rated for what is stamped on the stickers inside the door jamb. Ken But all that means is if the manufacturer can prove you went over their rating they don't pay warranty claims. The only rating the law will enforce is the tires. Ken, do you know what LOL means? I was not serious, just kidding, laughing out loud.:)

RE: Not a Great Week for Travel

Sorry about that memtb, but I guess it won't be the first virtual wedding, after this past year. Maybe get them to put in on Zoom website.

RE: Coming back to rving!

Stay under 12k gross 5th wheel weight, and you should be within 3/4 ton carrying weight.

RE: Death wobble

There are several things that contribute to death wobble, but the main one is the wrong geometry between the pitman arm, and the tie rod, and can happen on solid axles, and independent suspensions.

RE: Camper Cover

I've had two ADCO's, and they did a good job.

RE: Something I've not seen before.

The top pic shows the RV on its side, and looks like the king pin being the weakest link could not handle the stress.

RE: Gen Y vs. Reese Goose Box

Thank you for al the responses, much appreciate the time you spent helping my decision. I have decided to order a Reese 20k Goosebox and associated ball/chain hardware. Yesterday I installed a shock kit on the trailer so I am anticipating a smoother ride overall once the hitch is installed. Cheers! https://i.imgur.com/9w95Md9l.jpg Looks great, what brand kit did you get? Thanks

RE: Turning Point pin boxes on new campers!

I would not purchase a 5th wheel with that pinbox, due to the wedge insert prying on your hitch head at every turn, and you can only hitch up if your straight in line with the rv. There are many other choices for short bed trucks beside this one.

RE: Cleaning shower with grey/white "water spots".

BarKeepers Friend, and windex works great for mineral deposits on auto glass, but not sure on fiberglass.

RE: Love my Fithwheel but looking for more...

Seems like the trend now is 40'+ rv's, but my 32' suits us fine. If I were going to tour Canada, or Alaska I would consider a truck camper.

RE: Which pick up to buy for towing big fifth wheel?

What you have heard is correct, a dually will give you the most payload, stability, and would be my choice.

RE: So Lost

I would pull it home, and go trade your truck for a F-350 Dually, or get a shorter, and lighter FW. You need the stability of a drw with a 41' FW.

RE: Memphis

Tom Sawyer, Graceland, or the Tunica casinos would be my choice. I'm not sure if Southland casino in West Memphis has rv parking.
