RE: Weighing Fifth Wheel at CAT Scale with Weigh My Truck App

I don't use a phone or credit card or email. Drive on the scale, push the call button, when they ask for a name I say private. When they say OK I drive around stop at the office pay the 12 bucks and get the slip. I do this also.

RE: RV stove griddle

I bought this. Fits perfectly on my outside grill (or even on the stove top inside). I love it. -Speak Now this I like. Thanks

RE: RV stove griddle

I have looked on line and at the brick and mortar stores. I have not found anything the really fits the 2 burner outside kitchen stove on my Fifth wheel. I was hoping someone here would have something they could recommend.

RV stove griddle

I am looking for a griddle that would fit nicely on a RV outside kitchen Stove. The stove that has 1 large burner and one small burner type. To save weight aluminum or steel would be nice.

RE: Could it be simply a matter of more air in the tires?

I bought a new F350 srw last year> I follwed the break in instructions to the letter. Hooked the Fifth wheel up and took off on a 4000 mile trip. The first 800 miles were a real treat. I had never heard of tire squirm before this. It is a real thing. It will settle down after about 100 miles.

RE: Switching tow vehicles

I have a 2018 F350. The Andersen ultimate hitch fits the Factory Ford puck system nicely.

RE: Need an opinion

So who here has added the easy start themselves. It looks like the hardest part is getting on top of the fifth wheel to me. I may not even need to do this. The island in the Mississippi we usually camp on has the 2 bridges leading to it flooded. We are not sure if the event we will be going to can even be held this year. No it is not global warming. We have been doing this since 1980. Every 10-15 years the bridges flood.

RE: Pex tubing.

The camper was at the dealer getting some work done and I mentioned I wanted to make winterizing the washer hook up easier. The dealer said no problem we can do that. The dealer dded two shot off valves in the basement for the washer hook up at no charge. I was shocked.

Need an opinion

My fifth wheel has a 15K btu AC. Do you think I can run the AC on low with 1 Honda 2200 inverter generator or will I have to buy 2 of the generators?

RE: Pex tubing.

I think I will try and find the T and remove it and put a straight coupler in its place. When we sale it I will connect it again.

Pex tubing.

We have a washer hook up in our fifth-wheel. We will never use it. I would like to cut and cap the pex tubing that goes to the washer hook up. That way I do not have winterize the hook up or de winterize it every year. What is the best way to cut and cap pex tubing?

RE: First trip with Andersen Ultimate Hitch

I have about 7K miles on my Andersen Ultimate Hitch and I am really happy with it. I have the safety chains because I drive through states where they are required.

RE: 2018 F350

From what every body has said here I am going with the regen answer. It makes since. Over all I am completely satisfied with the F350.

2018 F350

I have a 2018 F350 diesel tow vehicle. Since it was brand new in March I have put 13K miles on it. Every 400-500 miles when I stop I can smell a little bit of oil burning. There is no noticeable oil usage, just the smell. I have had it in to the dealer once for this and they found nothing. I been over the engine and exhaust from top to bottom and have never found any oil leakage. Any suggestion?

RE: K&N filters

I did it for a 1999 F150 and it had an impact. When I bought a 2003 GMC Duramax, It did nothing. I will not do it again.

RE: Robins predict early winter for the North!

Bite your tongue. Winter is a long way off. I have not seen any woolly bear caterpillars yet this year. I always see them in Sept. I figure I have at least 4 more weeks.

RE: Things we saw on the road today. 250 miles.

I have more bumper pulls riding extremely nose high or low this year than ever before.

RE: Propane tank compartment

The propane compartments are open to the front compartment straight across. I plan on using some type of SS screen and anti mouse expanded foam to complete this project. The propane compartments will still be open.
