RE: Question about Furnace Short Cycling.. GOOD EXPLANATION When I purchased the furnace a couple years ago, the factory lady sent me another sail switch which had a bigger paddle. I bet thats why. I plan to pull it apart now that we are not using the furnace and give that fan a good cleaning. I noticed if my voltage goes down just a bit, I get the short cycling. Maybe they should regulate the fan voltage down to say, 10 vdc and use a 10 volt fan. Might fix the problem. But that would cost more. lol	groundhogy	05/20/22 02:42pm	Tech Issues
Question about Furnace Short Cycling.. In a previous post, someone mentioned that if your battery voltage is low, you will get short cycling. Short Cycling: (as i understand it) where the flame cuts off and back on during one heating cycle. fan continues to stay on the whole time of the heat cycle until the thermostat decided temp is high enough. That's the first thing I thought of when I saw the Radio Shack reference. I watched it more carefully this morning. At first key turn, with engine cold... the gauge was at 1/4 hot. Then in about 5-7 minutes, it drifts up to full hot. Then the red light comes on telling you to look at your gauges, something is wrong. Then at some point un-noticed, the needle is back to full cold. If this happens every day the same way, then how can this be a chaffed wiring issue? Also, the temperature circuit worked fine when the old sender was good (granted it's been broke for about 6 months though).	groundhogy	04/29/22 11:41am	Tech Issues
RE: Temperature sender/sensor... 7.3L Cant be chaffed wiring cuz it worked before. But i was thinking possibly the contacts in the connector weren’t touching properly, but i am now doubting that. I took a sewing pin and tried scratching/cleaning contacts and attempted to bend contact plates so as to touch male pins better. No difference.	groundhogy	04/29/22 12:23am	Tech Issues

Temperature sender/sensor... 7.3L Hi All, I think RV'ers tend to have a diverse knowledge of things. Now that you're buttered. lol My temperature sender/sensor is doing odd things. It was just replaced (and I don't wish to contact them again.). It is either all the way hot, or all the way cold. Occasionally I've seen it in the middle. This morning I watched it carefully, as it was in the rare middle position. Within a few minutes I saw it rise to all the way hot. Pegged. Then during the day it will switch to all the way cold. RE: Water hose stuck on side of trailer.. PLAN B: Well, the vinegar soak did NOTHING. Its probably fused together due to the hose end they sold me not being brass (gold colored over aluminum?)
