RE: Lithium Confusion

OCCC or whatever the term is for increasing load capacity.

RE: Lithium Confusion

I have decided to go with the pendant mode. The switch to lithium is to gain OCCC and reduce maintenance of the lead acid batteries. Since I leave my coach plugged into a 30 amp outlet, any suggestions on a timer that would work would be appreciated. The idea of using a float charge with the pendant and a timer seems like a perfect solution. Thanks for your ideas.

Lithium Confusion

I currently store my coach in my garage plugged into 30 amp service. My new coach came with lead acid batteries. The coach has a progressive dynamics PD 4060 charger in a mighty mini power center. I am wanting to change batteries to lithium battle born batteries. Progressive dynamics has a replacement charger that outputs a constant 14.6 voltage but no 13.6 float voltage. Battle born told me not to leave this charger on constantly to avoid battery damage. Progressive Dynamics also offers a complete new mighty mini power center with a output switch to change from lithium to lead acid. Since I store my coach plugged in it seems this might be better since lithium charger could be switched off and charger would go to lead acid float of 13.6. Each choice is about equal in price. My question is how difficult are these choices to install and what choice is best. Thanks Progressive Dynamics was shut down for Covid so no help there.

RE: Sprinter Windshield Cover

Thanks for the info but I was hoping to hear from an actual person who has bought one . What is on a website may not be accurate. Actual experience is best.

Sprinter Windshield Cover

We have a new Sprinter on the new 2019 chassis and looking to buy a front windshield cover. A search did not show a cover for the new chassis. My question is whether an Adco cover for the previous generation Sprinter work on the new chassis. Does anyone have a new chassis and bought a windshield cover. Thanks

RE: JL Wrangler brakeaway cable

I could not find a way through the firewall so I used a different route. From the bumper, I ran the cable to the frame and then up through the engine compartment to the top of the driver’s fender and then I removed a small body part next to the windshield (4bolts) and ran the wire behind this part and into the door trim. I then ran it down the door trim and had it come out at the lower door strap opening. I slide it back behind the door trim when not towing and pull it out to hook into the RVI brake.

RE: JL Wrangler brakeaway cable

For light wiring, I bought the Hopkins kit and the cool tech harness. I bought the cool tech first and was going to use it but it was somewhat complicated to install so I have postponed installing it. I then saw hopkins has a plug and play kit that was 0nly $53 so I ordered it and am waiting on it. If it is simpler to install and works, that is the kit I will use. Mopar has a harness but it was expensive.

JL Wrangler brakeaway cable

I am trying to install a brakeaway cable for my RVIbrake on my JL Wrangler and cannot find a way through the firewall for the cable. My JL has the I-4 Turbo engine and not much space in the engine compartment. If anyone has found a way through the firewall with the 2.0 engine, please advise. Thanks

RE: Jeep Wrangler JL

I tried this port in the dash but it does not appear hot when the ignition is off. On my TJ, the port was always active. If anyone is towing a JL , where do you plug your braking device in.

Jeep Wrangler JL

Looking to tow a new JL Wrangler and use my RVI brake which needs a 12V power source. Does the new JL have a power port that is active with the ignition off. Thanks

RE: New RV Electric RV Toad In Depth Review - Mike Mas

Probably as safe as driving a motorbike or motorcycle. With these type vehicles, any crash is dangerous.

RE: Winnebago Fuse

Recent information I have read about the new Ford Transit chassis is the GVWR has been increased to 11,000 lbs and the GCWR increased to 15,000 lbs. These numbers come close to matching the Sprinter ratings.

RE: 2020 Winnebago View 24D

The other manufacturers that make this Floorplan all have two televisions. Obviously, the location of the one television would have to be moved. It could be shifted over one cabinet to the bedroom area and another tv located near the cab over bed as other manufacturers have done. Husbands and wifes constantly watching the same program is a marriage made in heaven but not likely. I posted this to see if anyone has overcomed this limitation.

2020 Winnebago View 24D

We are interested in this Floorplan but it only has one television. Has anyone modified this situation and added another television to it. Thanks

RE: Small Class C - Mercedes Diesel vs. Chevy Gasoline?

Perhaps with the new E450 chassis with the new Ford V-8 will provide a more spacious cabin.

RE: Locast.org Service

I have never understood why Directv and Dish do not combine a OTA broadcast antenna with their satellite dish in metropolitan areas and mix the feed into the house receiver. OTA signals are strong in metro areas and locals could be provided without paying fees.

New Ford Engine

Ford recently announced a new engine to replace the V-10 and use it in a new class A chassis. Does anyone know when this chassis and engine will be released?

RE: Chisos Basin, Big Bend
