RE: Pro-Pride Hitch

I use the gen y torsion hitch. No wd and no sway as the ATC will not sway. It's very heavy on the hitch with a 5.5 onan mounted up-front. Spread axle torsion is very stable. The gen y absorbes the shock perfectly and maintenance free
But I have 2500 and hitch weight exceeds 1300lbs. So no half ton could do this set up.Just drop it on the ball and go. Super quiet and silent.

RE: Voltage Dump Valve Replacement

I have manual on our ATC. I find using the valve lubricant by Thetford makes a big difference on both valves. Also, no coffee grounds in the grey tank keep it working better as well.

Speaks volumes. It actually might have superior construction quality over most Indiana mfg rvs.
Good for him.

RE: The price of new trucks is beyond comprehension!

I bought a brand new 78 Chevy half ton right after graduation from college. 2 years later my heel went through the floor board. Rust. Michigan winters killed it in 4 years. Doors tailgate a mess.
Big 3 deserved global competition. Asia European vehicles now have very high brand loyalty that's been passed down to younger generations. The RV industry is today's US dominated monopoly with a big middle finger to the customer. I hope ATC never sells out to Thor or Winnebago. It's built to stand the test of time.
Respect is earned.

RE: Best resale value toy hauler or tt

Bought our ATC 28 front bedroom with 5.5 gen in 2017 for well under 45k. Not sure on value today but new it's close to 90k.
Tempting to see what it would bring in this crazy market.

RE: Favorite Brand of 5th Wheel Toyhauler.

We love Michigan and summer the rig is tucked away. But when the winds of October start blowing we go west until April.
Migration is a good thing!

RE: Favorite Brand of 5th Wheel Toyhauler.

FWIW we bought one of the first ATC toyhaulers in 2017. 28 front bedroom with the 5.5 gen. Bumper pull.
It now has over 40k miles and all I can say is it's been a wonderful decision. We had class A, B, and even an airstream.
Nothing compares in durability. Nothing. It gets bounced around all winter up and down the west coast and to Michigan and back and all I've done is axle maint and new tires.
I hope they never sell out to Thor or Winnebago.
Good luck but peel the onion back and compare before you pull the trigger.
