How to watch the Minnesota Vikings

What do I need to be able to watch the Minnesota Vikings no matter where we are parked?

WiFi, and Cell Phone boosters and Internet antennas

Last winter we spent 6 months in our 5er. We had a great time except for technology. Seems we were constantly struggling to keep our systems going at all times. Today I was looking at Winegard products and it seems they have an antenna for everything. I'm not the least bit gifted at working with technology, but I'd like to improve our ability to use WIFI, cell phones and the internet. Please recommend systems, antennas etc. that you have put together for making this technology work better when you are on the road.

RE: Dish newbie

Turns out our satellite system on our 5er is for a direct tv system. We want a dish system in our house and trailer. Winegard says we can make our Travler to be Dish compatible by adding RP-SK21 and RP-SK11 parts. We are leaving this Sunday on a 7 week trip to DC and we were hoping to get Dish up and working before we left, but that isn't going to happen. Thanks for your help.

Dish newbie

We recently bought a used 5er with a dish mounted on the roof. This dish folds up for traveling. I know nothing about this system, but just recently subscribed to the dish network. This coming Wednesday morning the dish people will come out and install the system on our house and show us how to use it on the trailer. What are the odds the installer will know how to work the dish on the 5er? Will they have a manual they will leave with us etc.? Are there any specific questions I should ask?

RE: Lippert 6 point hydraulic landing gear.

This is just what I needed. Thanks everyone.

Lippert 6 point hydraulic landing gear.

When we use the auto level feature on our 5er everything seems to work as designed, however when the leveling is complete the trailer is not quite level. It is just off a little bit when checked with an actual 4' level. Is there a way to adjust the auto level operation? Can most anyone do this type of adjustment or should I just take it to the dealer? I usually do my own maintenance, but I'm unfamiliar with this system.

RE: Bedroom Slide Solitude 369RL

Thanks guys. I used Duct tape, but Liquid nails or Eternabond tape is probably better.

Bedroom Slide Solitude 369RL

The rollers on the bottom of the bedroom slide are cutting into the floor.Does anyone know how thick the floor is? I'm trying to attach some sheet metal strips to the bottom of the floor, where the slide rollers make contact with the floor. I tried to use wood screws to hold the sheet metal to the bottom of the slide floor, but the wood wouldn't hold a screw. It just disintegrated where the screw was.

Pennsylvania Turnpike

This September we will be traveling the Pennsylvania Turnpike while pulling our 5er. What is the best way to deal with the payment of tolls?

RE: Bedroom AC?

The bedroom A/C is attached to a 'race track' ducting system. However, if we open the vent on the A/C unit itself, then the cold are just comes directly out of the A/C unit and into the bedroom.

RE: proper hook up procedure?

We just use light weight plastic chocks on the 5er. We chock the tires every time.

Mud Flaps

We seem to splash mud onto the front of the 5er even when we are only driving on pavement. What kind of mud flaps can all you experts recommend that will prevent this? Thanks.

RE: storing power cord on new f'ver

We just lay the power cord in the bed of the pickup. It is the last thing we stow in preparation to travel and it is the first thing we plug in once we arrive at the new campsite. Putting it in the truck bed simplifies everything.

RE: Damaged RV on roads on way home from Florida, anyone else?.

We are from Minnesota and last winter we spent 6 months in our 5er. We travelled through the Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Carolinas, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. This was our first extended stay as we recently retired. And we were totally shocked at the condition of roads in other states. Texas seemed the worst of the bunch, but they were all bad. The height difference between the road surface and any bridge seemed to be 6 inches at times. We couldn't understand how it could be so difficult to have a road and bridge end up with their surfaces even with each other. It didn't take long to realize we had to have any loose items sitting on the floor while travelling. And we worried about breaking suspension parts every time we hit one of those bridges.

RE: Hauling a motorcycle behind a 5er.

Thanks everyone. I didn't think it was a good idea either, but thought I'd check. We spent the winter in Texas hill country this past winter and we'll be heading down there next winter too. I'd sure like to figure out a way to get my bike down there.

Hauling a motorcycle behind a 5er.

Has anyone used a device such as the Slick Willy Motorcycle Hauler? My concern is that the pressure/tension would be in the opposite direction that the bike is designed to deal with. What do all you bikers out there think of this setup for hauling a Goldwing motorcycle? https://theusatrailerstore.com/the-original-slick-wheelie-motorcycle-hauler/

RE: Ford Diesel trucks

Thanks everyone. This gives me good information with which to get started.

Ford Diesel trucks

We are in the market for a Ford Super Duty F350. And, I'm afraid the V10 gasser is going to retire. I have really enjoyed our current truck, but we just bought a GD Solitude which weighs 2500 lbs. more than our Cruiser did. We are looking for a used truck and my question is if there are any years of diesel Fords that I ought to avoid?
