RE: Any 1st time pickup TC out there to give their thoughts

DH is dear husband. Got it. Coming from the boating world she was always referred to as "Admiral". Hmmmm....I think I like that even better since DH was a Navy guy!:W

RE: Any 1st time pickup TC out there to give their thoughts

We went from a 32' fiver for the same exact reasons back in 2013. Me, the wife, loves the TC. It's great for traveling. We recently bought a 21RBS to leave in NC at our leased site. The TT is certainly more comfortable with an extended stay but you just can't beat traveling in the TC. DH is now putting pressure on me to sell TC but I am dragging my feet. I enjoy what both has to offer.

RE: Looking for a Camplite Owner Group

Nice TT but lousy at sales. Are you happy with the windows? Our TC has regular windows but the TT has the new dometic windows. Yes, like the windows but haven't used them that much. They sure are easy to open and close. Time will tell.

There is a livin Lite truck camper group and a livin lite owners group. I am in both, or my hubby is. I post under him...lol!

RE: Last Post, DW has died

My condolences to you. I keep preaching that to DH who is 75 and I am 64. Our world will continue to get smaller if we stop and wait on it and there will be a time when the "black swan" will appear. I am glad you got to enjoy your trips prior to the unexpected death of your spouse. Soo sorry!

RE: Blackstone Griddle

We just bought a plain old lodge griddle and put it on our baby Q. Works for us!

RE: Refrigerator fans and roof vents

Typically refrigerators with a roof vent don't need fans. Have you checked the clearances in the back? You might need to add baffles or filler material to close up wasted space. We will check it out tomorrow...thks!

RE: Refrigerator fans and roof vents

Have you tried a battery operated fan inside the fridge? Yes, got one in it now.

RE: Refrigerator fans and roof vents

I had a mask made and installed twin computer fans at the top. They are thermostatically controlled from the bottom. Can you elaborate?

Refrigerator fans and roof vents

Geeze....so aggravated. First all we have had a TC for about 5 years and finally got the refrigerator working great after 3 LONG years. We recently bought a tt and the refrigerator cools but not that good. It is hanging at 45-50 degrees. So my question is, would you have to pull fridge to put fans in back or could you do it from the top vent? The TC has 2 side vents but the TT has a lower side vent and a roof vent. I am loving my TC that everything works great and so many bugs with the TT. Literally venting tonight!

RE: Dometic - Up or Down

hmmm.....we were always told that sliding it up meant colder. Inquiring minds sure would like to know. Would it matter what kind of rv refrigerator it is? OK, you are correct. I looked up a couple YouTube videos and "UP" is colder. Sorry, my bad. I guess I had the wire stretched to the max with the slide going up. Whew....thanks for the correction...makes me feel better about our fridge.

Newer RVs....ugh

Wow, after reading a few post here lately about quality issues I SURE am glad I have no interest in a new RV. We currently have 2 livin lites, a 2013 TC and a 2016 21RBS tt. I know some folks here have 2 rvs and enjoy what both has to offer. Presently DH wants to sell the TC but I love that thing and he enjoys the tt. Soooo we shall see, like the motto sez, happy wife, happy life! LOL! Have a great weekend!
