RE: Almost lost reservation in AZ park

They should have put them in another site for Jan-Feb-Mar until you leave and then they can move in your spot for the remainder of their 12 months.

RE: Best time to buy new?

I agree with way2roll. I think best deals are at the end of the season, but sounds like you are a couple years out.

RE: Help with hooking up

I am a female in my 60's. These hitch heads are very heavy. I would get a little red wagon to store the hitch in the garage. Put a couple boards down in the wagon, and a non-slip shower mat, and set the hitch head with the ball on there. Wheel it out to the tow vehicle and slide it into the tow vehicle receiver. Then you would not have to pick it up off the ground or carry it. I would leave it attached and locked on my tow vehicle while out camping and then remove it when returning back home using the wagon. Or take the wagon with you. https://i.imgur.com/tYdyM3kl.jpg

RE: Help with hooking up

1. Can you leave the ball mount attached to the tow vehicle? Put a lock on it? That would solve the problem of lifting it on and off. Just put a cut up tennis ball over the ball mount when not hooked up. 2. What is your tow vehicle? 3. What size camper are you towing? 4. What Weight Distribution System do you have? That would help to give you suggestions in hooking up the bars or perhaps get a different system like Anderson Sway Control. There are no bars on the Anderson Sway Control system, it has chains. You just unpin a cotter pin on the triangle plate from the hitch ball. Just uncoupled tow vehicle and camper and drive forward. There are videos on this system you can google.

RE: The Horrible RV Magazine

Quite frankly, I agree with the OP. Very minimal articles about Travel Trailers AND Motorhomes which I thought was the purpose of combining both of these magazines. Not interested about RECIPES, BEER, DOGS, or PLAYGROUNDS. I hope it improves. I also thought there would be more pages, not less.

RE: RV Magazine Subscription

Has anyone received the new January 2021 RV Magazine in the mail? Was wondering when they will be mailing them out. Thanks.

RE: Veteran broke down in Pine Bluff WY

It was a female, on my Veterans FB group, alone, that was my concern and worry with it cold and getting dark. Someone did pull over and help her as I post this last night, so she was busy with them and I had not heard back from her. They said they could not find studs on the hub? They did rig up one axle and got it off the Interstate. She has not posted back on FB as of this morning, so I hope she is ok, and found shelter. Thank you.

Veteran broke down in Pine Bluff WY

I am trying to reach out to see if anybody is in Pine Bluff WY? A fellow Veteran on FB is broke down with brakes locked up and 2 blown tires. Needs tools or flatbed. Has 30' RV. That's all I know for now.

RE: small all-electric travel trailer?

Hey, thanks for all the quick replies! That Lil Snoozy looks perfect, wish that I could find a used one, but they are rare. I understand that most will come with propane system and I can just ignore it, but do need electric hot water and heat. Will be used in one location without moving for several months a year, will have sufficient electric available, and would rather not deal with trips for propane refills. You could always find a used Casita. They do have electric water heater and you can use an electric space heater and not deal with the propane at all. Just ignore the propane.

RE: Veterans Day free Admission

Vets should never have to pay, let all the foreign tourists make it up. Off topic but every combat vet should have free access to the same stuff retirees get. I agree 100%.
