RE: Any "Real" Unlimited Plans?

The OP posted this same thing over on another RV forum with the same responses there, nothing available at that usage level.

RE: Any "Real" Unlimited Plans?

At that usage rate I don't think you will find any plans that fit your needs unless you go to a commercial plan that will cost big $$$$ per month. Sprint is the only carrier currently offering "unlimited" "UN-throttled" plans but about the second month of that kind of usage they will cancel your service.

RE: getting a tow vehicle

The TRD edition 4Runners with manual shift transfer case are still 4down towable. Also the Chevrolet Equinox is 4down towable as is.

Winegard Rayzor Automatic Antenna Fix

For those of you with a broken Winegard Rayzor Automatic OTA antenna here is a fix from Winegard. Apparently enough people complained and applied sufficient heat that Winegard has changed their policy of not selling repair parts. They JUST (like just today) started selling the replacement gearboxes for the Rayzar Automatic Antenna. Part #2665088 $29.99 plus shipping and tax. Includes complete gearbox with motor! You have to call them direct 800-288-8094, the part is not available online yet. Hopefully this is the start of a new corporate policy allowing replacement parts sales !!!

RE: Mapping and GPS Recommendations Needed

An alternative to dedicated GPS units, at half the price, is an android tablet with built in GPS sensor running the CO-PILOT RV app. CO-PILOT does not need cell service since the map software is loaded on the tablet. CO-PILOT can be configured for the size and weight of the RV and has campgrounds, rest areas, and other attractions in it's database. I've been using it for over 7 years and never had a problem with being routed over weight limited roads or low overpasses.

RE: car towing

I heard 2014.... maybe Remco website can tell you? Remco is out of the RV accessory business and their web site no longer provides any information.

RE: Cost if Class A diesel pusher inspection

Since no one directly answered your question, a competent inspection will run in the $600 to $800 price range. Fluid analysis will run another $100 to $200 depending on what all you want analyzed. In depth engine analysis will run and additional $300 to $500, again depending how extensive you want to go.

RE: Satellite Newbie looking for advice

The King VQ 4800 and the Winegard G3 are portable domes that will work with either DirecTV SD or DISH SD & HD.

RE: Transponder selection on Pathway X2

For DISH Network it really doesn't make that much difference. Any reception in the high 20's or above will produce the same quality picture.

RE: Options to Winegard Trav'ler

According to your profile, you have a 2017 Newmar. That coach should have a satellite connection in one of the bays in addition to the cable connection. Look around for it. Then you can connect a portable antenna and not be bothered by trees.

RE: 2013 Ford CMax death wobble

The easy "fix" is to take a long bungee cord and loop it through the bottom of the steering wheel a couple of times and hook both ends under the driver's seat bottom frame. This will keep a centering force on the steering and dampen the wobble.

RE: OTR Mobile - GRRRR

Those restrictions are in EVERY unlimited plan no matter the cost. There is no truly UNLIMITED plan in existence, none, not even at $250 per month. By the way, Visible did away with the 5mbs cap several years ago.

RE: Battle Born Lithium

Well if their 250AH is priced anything like their 100AH it will be around $1250 to $1500 per battery. I can sure buy a lot of lead acid batteries for what a couple or three of the lithium will cost. You would have to be a hard core boondocker for them to pay for themselves.

RE: Dish Network receiver question

As Bill said the KD 9630 will no longer work with DISH Network since March 2016.

RE: WHAT dinghy or toad is good to tow ???

Look at a Chevrolet Equinox. All models were 4 down towable up to 2017, after then certain engine / transmission combos were towable. Easy to tow, start it up for a couple of minutes before and after towing, remove one fuse for towing. Hook it up, put trans in neutral, turn key to off, DO NOT REMOVE KEY, steering will stay unlocked till key is removed. Your ready to tow.

RE: Dish Playmate hookup

Odds are your RV has splitters in the cable coax. Satellite antennas will not work with splitters in the coax. As stated above they must have a direct coax connection between the antenna and the receiver.

RE: Dish Network receiver question

It is my understanding that DISH will not allow two Hoppers on the same account. Also, as others have said, you need a Winegard Trav'ler or R F Mogul Eagle open face three LNB type antenna on your RV to use a Hopper, NO DOME ANTENNAS.
