RE: Towable vehicle’s

A vehicle that old will not be listed in any of the towing guides. Also, back then Toyota did not address recreational towing in it's owners manual. However, having been an engineer with Toyota at that time, your car can be flat towed with the manual transmission in neutral. One thing you will need to do is slightly overfill the differential case and transmission to insure good lubrication. Your biggest problem will be finding a baseplate for the car.

RE: Front Tire alignment failure

Did they do a 4 wheel Thrust Angle alignment? I would bet the rear end is not sitting square in the chassis causing it to push to the left causing the coach to go to the right. Otherwise known as "dog tracking".

RE: Brand New Vizio 40 inch TV problem, HELP

Wait Wait, you cannot connect a DirecTV receiver to a new tv using the coax port. The coax port is for OTA antenna or un-encripted cable only. The DirecTV receiver must be connected to the tv via a HDMI port. The tuner connected to the coax port in the tv cannot decode the signal from any DirecTV receiver.

RE: How are others facing issues with the Coronavirus?

We're in central Florida at a very nice RV park with many friends. There has not been a reported case of COVID-19 in the five counties surrounding us and we are staying in place till May. Then we will reevaluate the situation.

RE: Slide out Problem

If it is a hydraulic slide, the retract solenoid is bleeding off pressure and needs to be replaced.

RE: Staunton Va to Elkins WV

Been that way several times, not the best of roads as described and quite a bit of elevation change. Also did I mention the COAL TRUCKS that will run you off the road if you get in their way and slow them down.

RE: Best Used Hybrid to Tow 4-Down 4-Door ??

Suggest you check your information about a Honda CRV Hybrid being towable 4 down. Page 462 of the 2020 Honda CRV Hybrid Owners Manual states: Towing Your Vehicle Your vehicle is not designed to be towed behind a motor home. If your vehicle needs to be towed in an emergency, refer to the emergency towing information.

RE: Connecting Satellite Thru Outside Jack

Wait a second, a 2020 coach should have a cable AND a satellite connection. Have you asked the dealer about this or called Thor. I would investigate further before trying to run an additional cable.

RE: Dish Network Play Maker Sat Antenna Problems

Just a guess but I would bet there is a splitter installed in that satellite cable run inside the trailer. That would allow data flow from the antenna to the receiver but would not allow data flow from the receiver back to the antenna for a channel change to another satellite. Is there two satellite receiver connection locations in the trailer?

RE: Gas, 26-27 foot, no slide Class A...any ideas

What your looking for doesn't exist in a 2015 or newer class A. Suggest you look for something 2000 or older.

RE: Make a "Smart" RV ?

I would start with $ 1,000,000 dollars and throw money at it till it was what you want, or just buy a new one for half that amount.

RE: Here is something for you Class A people to upgrade to

Prevost move over Porsche has been contracted to help design Newells for years. Well that's one contract that's a waste of money. Nothing special in that coach design.

RE: Crazy Parts Prices from Manufacturers

Recent eye-opener. Got a burnt out marker light on my Demco dolly on my last trip. Called Demco, parts dude quoted me $30 (plus shipping) :R. Went on Amazon & got the OEM part for about $7 shipped. I can see some mark up but my goodness.... don't these companies realize there's such thing nowadays as the internet? They don't care. If your stupid enough to pay their asking price then they make a lot of money, if you don't oh well they get their paycheck at the end of the week. Parts people are some of the dumbest marketing people on the face of the earth. I had to deal with them during my career in the automotive industry and not one had any idea of customer service or marketing.

RE: Towing 4Runner

My recollection is that the transfer case lube pump is on the input shaft which makes it not suitable for towing regardless of it having a manual neutral. I tow a 2000 4Runner and use a driveshaft disconnect. Incorrect, the transfer case will lubricate from splash lube being circulated by the output shaft gears and chain. I personally know of 4 late model 4Runner TRD Edition vehicles that are being used as toads, all with several thousand towing miles.

RE: Nothing For Nothing

Rut Roh!! Don't tell Cummins that the 10% program ended! Picked up my motorhome this afternoon after some major Onan generator issues and when presented with the bill I asked about the Power Club and the 10% discount, manager was like "oops" let me subtract that parts discount. Saved me over $300 today! If your currently a Power Club member the discount is good till your membership expires. Then no discount. In other words, that whole e-mail was Cummins backhanded way of telling you that they are doing away with their parts discount.

Nothing For Nothing

Got an e-mail today from the Cummins Power Club hailing their new program. You no longer have to pay to be a member of the Cummins Power Club effective 1/2/2020. Also the 10% discount on parts benefit of belonging to the Cummins Power Club went away at the same time. So now you don't have to pay and you get nothing in return.

RE: Towing 4Runner

In order to tow any Toyota / Lexus product 4down as is, it must have a MANUAL shift transfer case with NEUTRAL position. That means it cannot have a button or switch to engage 4WD, it must be shifted manually with a shift lever. Since 2010 Toyota has made a 4Runner Off Road edition / or TRD edition that has a manual shift transfer case and can be towed 4down.

Co-Pilot will allow you to custom build a complete trip with individual stops and routing preferences as you want and save. Co-pilot does not require a WIFI or cell connection to operate, only access to the GPS satellites.

RE: TOGO Problem

The AT&T $360 plan will NOT be renewed when it expires. No one will be Grandfathered in. AT&T will offer their normal broadband plans as a replacement. However Winegard will give you instructions on unlocking the roof top device so another carriers sim card can be used. Give Winegard a call.
